Hi everyone ! I recently finished “Not My Problem” by Ciara Smyth and gave it 5 stars ✨ I loved it so much and hope one day they turn this into a movie or show because it was hilarious! I listened to the audiobook and it honestly reminded me of Derry Girls. This book also touches on some serious topics for teenagers like bullying, toxic friendships and parents with alcoholism. The author does a fantastic job of blending the funny and serious parts together in a way that didn’t mess up the flow of the story. There’s also a diverse group of teens in this book with LGBTQ+ representation (bonus points because one of the characters is Polish 🇵🇱♥️). Overall I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves funny, heart warming, coming of age stories mixed with a ton of cursing and shenanigans 📚

💔📚💔The Most Evil Unhaul Part 2! 💔📚💔
I never actually posted photos of the first evil unhaul, just the pictures of the stuffed ittle free libraries afterwards. My shelves have been overcrowded for some time so this was a necessary evil but still so difficult!
The ladder is full of tbr books that just will never be priority reads. All of them were intresting when I bought them, but a mix of changing tastes and new buys have edged them out. The chair is stacked with the books I've read and no longer need/have room for. A mix of doubles or tales I'm never going to reread.
All of these will end up in little free libraries or donated to the thrift store. Well a few will be put aside for credit at a secondhand bookstore I like!

JOMP BPC - 19th February - Pure Gold
The Goldfinch haunted me for weeks after I read it, particularly the period of time Theo and Boris - two lost, feral boys - spend together in Las Vegas. Heart-rending.

2.9.24 | My days have been filled with Russian literature & bunnies. Last weekend, I went on a bookshopping date, which was lovely. During the week, I found some time to read out loud to the buns @howlandhatter, who, I'm thrilled to say, have developed a fascination for books & reading, which is how I'm choosing to interpret their mischievous propensity to nibble on my tomes. Howl seems to love the big classics (Tolstoy, Homer, etc.); Sophie goes for the comfort fantasy reads like Tolkien's The Hobbit &, of course, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. They both love books with pictures in them. ♡ 𝑁𝑜𝑒𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑖
𝑂𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑑
▪︎ Order more chew sticks; buns prefer apple & pear ▪︎ Finish up Pushkin's narrative poems ▪︎ Start on Love Letters: Virginia Woolf & Vita Sackville-West ▪︎ Send letters & wrap Valentine's treats ♡ ▪︎ Plan spring hiking & road trips

I am finally through "The Great Slog" which is book 7-10 of Wheel of Time. I'm taking a break before the Sanderson finale and reading Stone Blind because I need something light and fun.

First book haul of the year! Went to the little indie bookshop downtown for The Book of Love (Kelly Link my beloved) and ended up picking up some Ottessa Moshfegh too!
