I honestly do not know where to begin or how to even write a decent looking introduction, so allow me to just drop this and leave…🤣😭
Okay, but jokes aside, since I’ve been getting really into visual storytelling lately, I just thought “Huh, why not test it out with Jingluo, and capture their dynamic while trying to add a fairytale-like elements to it?”
Also, I genuinely want to become even more expressive through my art, overall… and I guess it’s also an excuse to draw even more stuff related to the two (shhhh, and excuse me for the repetition.😫😫)
Notes on the title (that I think might be needed): I know the matter of language isn’t relevant to the game’s plot at all, but for some reason I’ve developed the headcanon that Luocha is good at picking up languages, as he travels a lot. (I see him just… being very quick at adapting and blending in with the locals’ way of doing things, in that kind of sense. <3)
We don’t really know much about him as for now (still waiting for that lore drop, though!!), but judging from his appearance and aesthetics (so please take this with a grain of salt), he looks like (at least to me) a character from a place based off Europe or the West… So because of that, I had the view that Luocha might have had a harder time actually writing down/learning by heart the Chinese characters (or at least the writing system there) commonly used by the people in the Luofu, when he first set foot there (I mean, I thought of that as it’s a region very much inspired by Chinese culture), since most European languages use the Latin script as for their writing system.
So hopefully this explains why there are two inscriptions: the one on the left side of the canvas is actually written by Luocha, and the other one being the translated version of the title!🥰
(P.S. I tried to translate the title in Chinese to make the Luocha’s writing seem… how to say, more believable? More real? Anyways, I ended up with “我在你身边”, which translates into “I will stand beside you”, so not super faithful to the original title, but I believed that the essence of the general meaning of the original one was still there, so I decided to go along with it.
I’m no native speaker here nor a translator, just a person who studied some Mandarin for a while. T - T❤️)
(P.S.S. I’ll try to keep you updated! My creative process is usually quite slow, so I was thinking that maybe I could share some of the wips with you all. Or you know, just to document some of my thoughts, that kind of stuff. ^_^
Alright!!! I wrote too much, and honestly, BLESS your heart for reading through my stream of consciousness, lmao. But I genuinely appreciate it, I really REALLY mean this.🥺❤️
Thank you so much for taking your time to do so. To whoever reached this point. <3)

the number of times anaxa was mentioned in 3.4, let alone by phainon... him always being the last one we see or talk to whenever we went through phainon's memories or hallucinations... haha, I Wonder Why That Is!
worldbearing and reason. destruction and erudition. erudition and beyond bound to be destroyed by destruction. yet a creation of destruction will not let that happen. said creation of destruction willingly throwing himself into countless cycles of the same visions, taking the coreflames for himself in hopes that one day, the cycle will change, and his faults wouldn't be for nothing. him slowly losing more and more cognitive abilities as he intakes more coreflames into his body through each cycle, but despite that, he never truly loses all that is human to him. and that is because of erudition, Reason, that he's managed to hold on this far. destruction and erudition, worldbearing and reason, so intricately intertwined with one another; where does one end, and where does one start?

i literally can't stop thinking about how phainon has been kept human and still has bits of himself even after all those cycles he went through, and it's all because of the thing he was made to destroy. he who is supposed to be shaped and welded into being a part of irontomb, who will destroy all reason and erudition, causing havoc even beyond that - and yet he has gone against that fate, living the same lives over and over and over again, so that that ruin can never come to pass.
and anaxa, who embodies reason and erudition, being the only one to truly see him as merely Him. never hero, worldbearer, or deliverer, despite him being forced into that role by fate, almost consuming all of him.
when anaxa had asked him: "Phainon of Aedes Elysiae; what is your dream?", he didn't ask what the hero or deliverer dreamed of. he asked what Phainon dreamed of. what he is meant to destroy, and yet someone who embodies it is the only one to see past his hero facade and peer into the man named khaslana.
to live through the same thing every single time without fail, losing your grip on who you truly are and fading into the role everyone expects you to be, but one. one who will never look or address you that way - it grips onto that sinking part of you to pull it back up to the surface, and that is how you have never truly lost yourself.

phainaxa driving me crazy. Its the same flavor of doomed that drove me to kevinsu. what do you mean anaxa had to see both the bright, driven youth and the grimly determined, “save the world at all costs” versions of phainon, the sunshine becoming an all-consuming inferno, just like su watched his easygoing and carefree best friend turn into someone cold and unreachable. What if i exploded

Love how rtrn fans consistently makes Sunday the villain of the narrative and makes their self proclaimed faves go through a tremendous mischaracterization beam. Like not even talking about headcanons or fanarts here but when discussing canon personalities or analyzing events. My very unpopular opinion of that arc is: Sunday wasn't strict on Aventurine at all.
The power of a pov shouldn't be underestimated. It causes the viewers to get more attached to a character almost instantly because we are going deep into the crooks and crannies of that character which can't help but make us root for them(moreso when they have a tragic backstory). All they saw was a character who has suffered before still suffering. The whole thing of Sunday being so desperate to find Robin gets completely glossed over more often then not. He wasn’t allowed to leave his duties as the family head, being constantly watched by Gopher Wood and Old Oti and also preparing for the Charmony festival. Like he is basically told to ignore his only family's supposed death and only focus on the festival preparations. He doesn’t have any people he can trust to help search for Robin so threatening Aventurine was the only option for him. He may not be entirely fair but it is quite understandable why he did what he did. They saw Sunday as a villain before (and still see him as one), but if you switched the POVs, Aventurine would be the villain to Sunday.
My thoughts are too biased but the recent increase in hate for Sunday and the amount of mischaracterizations on a daily basis is so annoying to see.
exactly anon. this is something all Aventurine fans could stand to be reminded on: he is an asshole sometimes, and he came to Sunday's hometown to re-colonize it.
he is scarily good at his job in the IPC and all that entails - and he's not like Topaz where she cuts corners out of the goodness in her heart either - he's as slimy as corpo guys come and was 100% ready with Ratio to take advantage of Sunday's grief over Robin's death. bro says as much.
they are..... both assholes here.
Sunday was going to put him in Ena's dream (but like. psychologically more painful lol) and Aventurine was, again re-colonizing the guy's planet.
the only thing Aventurine didn't account for with Sunday was making him go through Harmony-assimilation-confronting the past stuff with little Kakavasha and Future him (and honestly? it was good character development for him and for us. thanks ig Sunday).
otherwise, Aventurine's plan went off without a hitch. Robin sold off Penacony's sovereignty for her brother's freedom, Penacony reopened under IPC banners, and Aventurine gets his rest days.
no matter how you look at it, Sunday got the short end of the stick here. yet he took his loss with grace, remains kinder still and even admires Aventurine's control of his unjust fate.
TLDR; yeah stop woobifying Aventurine he worked hard on his schemes <\3

I would love to hear your thoughts about Sunday. (Please rant about him)
free reign to rant about my favorite character.... omg. I hope you know what you've just unleashed
first of all look at him. he is like a cat.
now where to begin...
I know what kinds of characters I like so I knew immediately that I was in for it when I first saw Sunday, "the most handsome man on Penacony!" with Robin in tow, who was his sister. for reference, characters with siblings almost always end up having my heart. for example Ayato is my favorite character in genshin, Arlecchino following close second. my affection for Aventurine rose drastically the moment I learnt he had a sister. found family Stellaron hunters makes my heart melt. I will always love sibling dynamics, characters who put their families first.
then his interaction with Aventurine happened. his questions were so very clearly a projection, not an interrogation. "Do you love your family more than yourself?" he was so clearly grieving. this is where Sunday starts to set apart from Ayato in my head. Sunday was more emotional and fraying at the seams than we ever saw Ayato throughout the story. he was a grieving brother who barely hides it. and... "Do you wish to destroy this world?". this is where Sunday starts to clearly set apart from Aventurine. Sunday would rather remake the world than destroy it.
and then. 2.2 - In Our Time happened. this is where I knew that he would become my obsession for months and months and months to come. it's where we saw his kindness, his bleeding heart, his pessimism on full display. his love for humanity - but never for himself. his evangelical themes, his Maruki persona 5-esque plan, his own grand orchestra, he himself being orchestrated like a puppet on strings. his Luciferic fall from grace.
...and being caught instead😭
this was so poignant i almost cried. idk like everything clicked here. s*icidal characters being caught (not saved) but held is so important to me. the light in their eyes dimming and the framing of the scene reminded me of how Scaramouche fell. and like how Aventurine held Kakavasha's hands.
PLUSSS sibling characters growing apart the older they get. Robin and Sunday arent that close in the present, that much is clear. they even fought before this. BUT SHE STILL CAUGHT HIM I JUST-- 😭 LIKE FUCK BRO I DIDNT EVEN THINK PENACONY AS A WHOLE WAS GOOD AT THE TIME NOR WAS I EVEN PLAYING HSR AT ALL I ONLY STARTED DURING JUNE 2024 but this still got me. it ended me. it just had everything i ever loved every theme i found dear and personal
also my favorite writing choice they did for Penacony was continuously mentioning Robin and Sunday's "paradise of our dreams" and the "promise" they made and how diametrically opposed they are despite both pursuing that vow, but... we only properly learn what it is at the end 😭
i. just cried at this i think. its such a simple wish but things went so far than Trustful Boy and Guileless Girl could have ever thought.
so that's the journey. ultimately i just came to the conclusion that this guy is just too cute for his own good and he wants the best for people he's never ever selfish or mean 😭 he's as loving as Elysia hi3 i think and his 7 rest days philosophy is just so cute of him.
he truly truly TRULY advocates for resting rather than having to work 9-5's, he would tell you to eat the extra dessert and to sleep in a little. HOWEVER. he would not extend this same leniency to himself. that is the duality and complexity of Sunday. (like look at this)
HE DOESNT RELY ON GODS!!! faithful church boy that he is, he denounced both Xipe AND Ena while still honoring THEM and he makes such good philosophical points and its just crazy that the trailblazers didnt really want to listen to him bc he was cooking. and regardless, he takes his fall with grace. GRACE!! he WANTED to be proven wrong he's just so reasonable and i love his faith and devotion and care and and and
as a kid he dissed the teacher that said little Robin's singing was bad. and then he ate an eggtart out of spite. THE LITTLE BIRDIE HAD SUCH AN ATTITUDE!! and he has piercings in his wings and metal choir in his boss theme of course he's a little alt.
i adore this side of him:
he just. needs to know that he's deserving of all the love in the world he desires for everyone else. i hope he doesnt put himself on such punishingly high standards anymore. i hope he learns more from Aventurine and takes more chances. i hope he gets his :3 smile back on his model.
i am so ill for this man.
also i think this message i sent to my friend after I saw Sunday's animations explains how i feel at all times. I got nothing to hide. (I'm sorry women) (NSFW text warning)
