Slowly making progress. Still a long way to go.

Some Mouseguard RPG NPC portraits I drew myself shamelessly from example mice on David Peterson's blog. I'm not an illustrator by any means, but I can mimic a little. This is aimed at a game my daughter and I will play together. It's her first RPG.

A couple junk box kit bash power stations for Necromunda made from old Hot Wheelz race track launchers. I gutted the motors, battery contacts, and rubber grip wheels, then cleaned things up with card, mesh, rivets, and bitz. They are garish now but will become suitably grimdark-industrial with painting.

Some painting progress on my Necromunda Hab. The cat chewed off the larger antenna, because cats. Once all the basecoats are done I'll begin the sponge paint texture.

Playing around with the Prisma app on some older photos today. This one ended up as a kind of propaganda poster. The flaming effect in the background was a happy accident. Miniature is Saphon the Preacher from Rackham's Confrontation painted quite a long time ago.

Next Necromunda building up for painting. This time a simple hab made from odds and ends I had in my bitz collection, insulation foam, thick card, and some scraps of plasticard.

A bit more progress on the test tower. I'm trying to add a few fun splashes of color to liven it up. The bulkhead needs a lot more work though to fit in better with the green floors. It is far too tidy right now.

Necromunda style tower test paint scheme. Over the last month or so I have built a terrifying number of Necromunda industrial towers and gangways. This is my test piece and I am very happy with the texture I got with some sponge painting. It's gritty but still bright and colorful.

My good friend's first Fed CA. I really like how smooth the Zocchi plastic kits are. Wish the Klingon kits in plastic were still available outside eBay. He did a great job with the decals. Last night we faced off and though I crushed him in a one on one battle, he returned the favor when we played the space monster scenario.

gonna get any Romulans?
The group I play with has a small collection of Romulans for scenario purposes. I'd love to paint one or two, but I like playing the Klingons most so far. I may pick up Orion pirates for a laugh.

Klingon D7 for Starfleet Battles. I tried to paint closer to the original series production model. The casting itself is a bit rough but it'll serve well in my navy. Death to the Federation!

Lights done! I've wired them to switches and batteries inside where the cheeks are. Batteries can easily be changed and the switches turned on and off. They sit just above her eyebrows so they don't impact her vision. I'll likely leave them on a few hours to see if anything gets warm the shouldn't and correct as needed. Other than that we're done with the mask!

Now with paint and sheer mesh behind the sockets and nose. Working on the LED lights and switches for the pinpoint eyes. Since my daughter looks through the lower inside corners I'll probably place them high center to avoid obstructing her vision or causing annoying glare.

Sans mask test fit after smoothing with wood filler. The inside has some foam padding so her head doesn't rattle around inside. Painting and sealing up next!

This Halloween we are making a Sans. Rough form completed and fitted. Much more work to go, but my daughter is very happy with the progress.
