okay i was listening to “the world was wide enough”from hamilton… and this is kinda john marston death scene coded. when i first played that moment in the game and i heard that the song that plays after he dies “bury me not on the lone prairie” had no beat and no melody i was like oh my god, this is so terribly sad… and familiar… and i was like WAIT i’ve seen this somewhere… HAMILTON…. like, do y’all get what i mean?? do we think john imagined death so much it felt like a memory? yes? no? okay okay… still there’s some rdr/hamilton songs parallels in my mind i just needed to share my thoughts.
