a/n: I said it already but this was only written after I saw minjae’s insta story 😭😭
go hyuntak x gn!reader | 730 wc | no major warnings, suggestive!!, heated kissing, no union business or any fights so let’s say this is well after everything 😇 mutual crush but it’s not brought up much
!!! NOT quite nsfw/smut but it IS suggestive
Tumblr media
Hyuntak didn’t think he’d be under you, holding your shoulders to keep you at a distance that was still reasonable for friends.
Baku had told him to post more on his socials, and Juntae had even encouraged it with a smile, adding in the teasing comment of some people who’d enjoy seeing a photo of him once in a while.
He didn’t think this would happen, all because of a stupid picture he took when he felt good about himself.
“What happened to confessing romantically?” He asks, voice trembling, eyes desperately trying to find yours— but yours are glued to his neck. “Why are you so riled up?”
“Can you just push me away?” You muttered, prying your eyes away from his skin, staring him square in the eye. “Just push me away, Hyuntak.” Your voice is strained, as if it hurts to beg him to reject you.
The boy sighs, fingers flexing against your shoulders, but they don’t push; instead, they pull. You fall against him, hands fumbling to prop yourself up at the unexpected action, eyes wide as you stare at him with anticipation.
He doesn’t make a move, neither do you. Not with such little space between you, a minimal distance that toed the line between friends and more.
Hyuntak’s breath melds with yours as his head bobs forward just the slightest, a challenge to do something– an action he didn’t know if he was allowed to initiate.
You inch closer, little by little, until your lips barely brush. You wait for him to move away, push you away, anything.
But when it doesn’t happen, you press forward.
Holding his face with one hand as the other keeps you balanced above him, hesitating to press your whole weight against him. He makes a noise when your lips press against his, but still, he doesn’t shy away from you.
It’s gentle at first, hesitance still clouding both of your minds. But it shifts when his arm snakes around your waist, clenching the fabric of your hoodie like an anchor while you kiss him. Slowly, it turns messy, lips moving with haste, as if you’re trying to chase something you can’t reach.
When your tongue grazes his bottom lip, he pulls back, chest rising and falling with every deep breath he takes. “Calm down, are you trying to eat my face or something?”
“If that’s what you want, sure.” He rolls his eyes, turning his head away from you whilst covering his lower face with his arm, a blush creeping from beneath his skin. “Are you okay?”
Hyuntak doesn’t answer immediately, still catching his breath and waiting– hoping– for the blush to fade before he looks at you. “I’m fine.” He turns his head slowly, lifting it towards you with puckered lips, chuckling when you eagerly peck them.
Your fingers trail against his neck slowly as you sit back, lifting your eyes to his face when you feel him gulp beneath your fingertips. “Do you want to stop?”
“We’ve already crossed the line.” He says quietly, blinking up at you, eyes glossed over, but he shows no intention of crying. “There’s no going back if we push it further.”
“Hyuntak, do you want to stop?”
He lets out a shaky breath, holding onto your waist as he pushes himself up slightly, coming up to be level with your eyes. He doesn’t say anything, a common occurrence you might just get sick of if he keeps doing it. His eyes trail over your face, darting between both of your eyes, searching for a flash of anything– hesitance, regret, fear.
But when he sees nothing other than your lips twitching up into a shy smile and the quiet “What?” that leaves your mouth, he pulls you closer. Hand brushing against your nape to draw you in, eyes flitting between your eyes and mouth, lips parting the second he feels your breath fan against his skin.
“I don’t want to stop.” He whispers, closing his eyes when your hand holds his chin. “I don’t want to push you away.”
“I won’t go,” you reply quietly, tilting his head to the side gently until his neck is in view. “Not unless you tell me to.”
With each word you mutter, your lips brush against his skin. His heartbeat races quicker than the last, breath stuttering with every open-mouthed kiss you left on him.

“Hey, (Name). What’s for lunch?”
A voice called out from behind you, not paying any mind that you were obviously busy with writing notes. You decided to ignore it the first time since you were so engrossed in your work, but boy was he pushy.
Due to your lack in response, he bumped the toe of his shoe at the back of your chair—it wasn’t hard but it was enough for you to pause and look at him with furrowed brows. “What, Suho?” You grumbled, locking your eyes on his face.
“What’s for lunch?” Suho repeated as he slowly fixed his posture after laying down on his desk for so long, grunting when he stretched his arms out. “Ah, I’m hungry.” He said with a yawn.
You thought for a moment, trying to remember today’s meal while he silently waited for your answer, looking at you like he was memorizing the look on your face.
“Um, I think it’s seaweed rice balls and tofu stew.” You answered back, you can almost feel yourself salivating at the thought of food but you saw how Suho lit up at the mention of it, nodding as he did so.
“Nice. Sit with me at lunch?” He asked, leaning his head on his palm with a hopeful expression, smiling when you hummed in agreement before he looked elsewhere.
You continued to stare at him though. Creases formed on his uniform, his red shirt underneath giving you an eyesore if you stared at it for too long and his messy bangs that you constantly want to fix.
And his face—you noticed a few cuts and past bruises from all the fights he had, cheeks puffed up, jaw defined like the Gods took their time sculpting it to perfection, and his soft lips that looked like it needed a kiss—
Wait. What?
You felt the blood rushing in your face, coughing as you tried to focus on your notes rather than the boy behind you. What were you even thinking?
Honestly, you don’t even know how you ended up in this predicament.
You just knew it all started when that stupid baseball team barged in your classroom.
“Which one of you is Ahn Suho?” The seemingly captain of the baseball team's voice echoed, and by the looks of it.. He was pissed, like really pissed.
Everyone looked at the back of the room as fingers were pointed towards the sleeping male. Almost all of them expected you to do something because you were the closest to him.
You shifted awkwardly in your seat, deciding to poke his arm, “Suho..” You whispered, but he didn’t budge, still snoring like there weren’t six people waiting to beat him up.
You tried a few more times, calling his name louder and shaking his arm. When Suho finally came to his senses, he removed his hands from his pink pillow and wiped his eyes, “What’s up? Is it lunchtime already?” He mumbled, then the guy in front cut him off.
They went back and forth about a girl named Na-eun and Suho blandly responded that he wasn’t interested in her. Then, he soon faced you again, “Hey, what’s for lunch today?” He asked.
You gaped at him, flabbergasted with a look that says: ‘You’re about to get your ass beaten and you’re still asking what’s for lunch?’ Nonetheless, you responded despite the angry baseball team near you. “Oh.. Jaeyuk..”
Suho smiled a little, “That sounds good. Protein is good.” You could only nod at him, glancing at his enemies that walked closer to the both of you.
“Thanks, I owe you.” He said just as you move away from the bat swung at him.
That was the weirdest interaction of the day.
That same day after classes ended, Suho stood outside the school, leaned up against his motorcycle. He didn’t have a reason to stay there actually. But he wanted to because he was waiting for you.
“Hey! (Name), right?” Suho waved when you were coming down the ramp, your bag hanging on your shoulder. You halted your pace and looked around as if to make sure it was you he was talking to.
There was little to no students around and you still pointed to yourself, unsure. “Uh.. Are you talking to me?”
Suho let out a smile and you watched as he opened the buckles of his helmet, “Yeah, you’re the only (Name) I know.” He replied like it was the most obvious answer.
You blinked, and made your way to him. “Why? Is there something wrong?” You asked, tilting your head when he shook his head no.
“I owe you, remember? I’ll take you home, think of it as my payment.” Suho smiled at you again, leaving you no room to refuse and took your bag, bringing it inside his motor top box instead.
“What? It’s fine, I was only telling you our lunch—hey!” He stopped you from talking further by putting his helmet on your head, carefully brushing out your hair so it wouldn’t get in your face.
You blushed in surprise at your close proximity. Seeing how concentrated he was in fixing your hair, you couldn’t say anything else.
“Alright, all done.” He says, putting the shield down before he sat on his motorcycle, turning it on. “Come on, which way do we go?” He looked up at you expectantly, acting as if he didn’t just do such romantic gestures.
You stuttered for a few seconds then sighed in defeat, “Unbelievable.” You say and moved to sit behind him, using his shoulders as support.
A month already passed by, yet he never stopped bringing you home. It was starting to become a routine for the both of you and it didn’t even occur to you that you've become close.
That was until your friend called you over at lunchtime when you were about to go to Suho’s table, where Sieun and Beomseok also sat.
“(Nameeee), you’ve been neglecting us.” She pouted, pointing her chopsticks to the trio. “You’re always with them!”
You snickered, “No I’m not, we just hang out a lot.”
She rose an eyebrow, “What about Suho then? You two are inseparable," She teased, “I've heard everyone say you guys are dating.”
You widen your eyes, quickly denying the accusation, “What? We’re not, he just..“ You pursed your lips. “Hold on a sec. What do you mean everyone?”
“You don’t know?” She exclaimed in surprise, then laughed. “People have been saying you’ve been together for a while. And how he drives you home everyday from school. It’s kinda obvious.” She told you, but you processed the information like an old computer — slow and buffering.
“..but we’re just friends. Suho doesn’t like me.” You finally muttered out, a recognizable blush creeping up on your cheeks.
“Well.. I think you certainly do.” Your friend winked at you, ushering you to go back to them.
Unfortunately for you, you didn’t deny it.
And you kind of hate that you couldn’t.
You stopped functioning properly minutes later.
You sat down without a word beside Suho, who was busy feeding himself, then glanced at you when he spotted your stillness. “Why? Someone say something to you?” He says incoherently with food in his mouth.
“Could you swallow your food before you talk?” Sieun questioned lowly, disgusted by Suho’s actions while Beomseok laughed at the two.
You chuckled as a way to keep yourself from freaking out, “Eat, Suho. You might choke.”
He didn’t listen though, “Tell me if someone’s bothering you, okay? I got your back.” He spoke lightly, giving a thumbs up before turning to his tray again.
You slowly lift your lips into a soft smile.
“Suho, why do you still take me home?” You asked while he was placing the helmet on your head. He always insists to do it himself—says it’s to make sure it’s secured. (It always is, he just wants to tend for you) However, you can feel his breath near your lips every time and he acts like it never happened.
It drives you nuts.
Suho answered, “You always tell me what lunch is.”
You rolled your eyes, “Is it really just that?” You mumbled quietly in disappointment, slightly hoping you had heard something more than that.
“What was that?” He squint his eyes at you in question, focusing on how your lips turned to a small pout, your eyes slightly glossy from the wind, and your cheeks squished from the helmet. “Forget it.” You voiced, crossing your arms as you looked away, unaware of the attention you were getting.
God, you were so pretty, Suho thought. He wondered if you knew.
Suho stared at you longer, wishing he could say something. He really wanted to. Instead, he cleared his throat, nodding to himself. ‘Maybe next time.’ He told himself.
You avoided interacting as much with Suho the next day. And the day after that, and then another...
But you honestly don’t know if he got the memo.
He still taps your shoulder when he asks for lunch, still messages you with his dumb stickers that often makes you laugh, still runs with you at the field even though he was always the first to finish, still talks to you as if you aren't ignoring him completely.
The worst part? He still waits for you outside school, with the same old lip smile and that damn red helmet he puts on you, always as gentle and careful just so you can be comfortable.
It's making you crazy, you wanted Suho to stop so you can put an end to your blooming feelings. But you don't know how despite the several "what are we's" you ask yourself.
Because at the same time, you loved it.
You loved how he memorized your favorite duet so he can sing it at the karaoke place with you, how he knew not to bother you when you're studying because you easily forget important terms and definitions, how he picked you up from your house in the middle of the night just because you messaged a simple "im hungry :(" and brought you to a night market to eat. So you let him became a part of your routine, without even noticing that he openly let you be a part of his.
Suho never once pushed you away—he pretends not to look for you but smiles and waves when he sees you first in the crowd and he glares at someone when they talk behind your back, taunting them with a look that strongly speaks volume.
He was there, protecting you silently and steadfastly.
On a random Tuesday when classes ended, you cursed at yourself for forgetting your math notebook in your locker. You had a test coming up and you desperately needed it back.
Hence, here you were in front of your homeroom.
Just as you were about to slide the door open. You overhear someone and stopped yourself from moving further when you realize the familiarity of Beomseok's voice.
"Hey, Suho. What do you think of (Name)? You're really close with them." There was a tone in his voice that tells you he was curious. But you were surprised that Suho was still there. You assumed he left already because he told the group he was going to work earlier.
Now you were invested.
"(Name)? Ah, they're a pretty good friend." Suho shared, ending the conversation rather quickly like it was nothing.
Their voices were muffled after that. Friend? Is that what he just thinks of you? Nothing more?
Just a pretty good friend?
Lost in thought, you forgot you were in front of the door and had no time to react when it opened wide.
There he was, in all his glory. The boy who occupied all the thoughts in your mind.
Ahn Suho.
His body jumped a bit when he saw you. Scanning you before he widened his eyes, "(Name)."
He was about to open his mouth once more before you walked back to where you came from, unable to face him anymore.
Or anyone at the matter.
He yelled out your name as you walked faster. You just wanted to get home as fast as possible. And probably cry your eyes out while you're at it too.
You weren't aware that you even made it out of the school, seeing a glimpse of a familiar motorcycle near the school entrance before you were pulled beside it by a hand firmly on your forearm.
"(Name)!" Suho's voice made you snap out of it, a bit breathless from running after you.
"What, Suho? What is it?" You demanded angrily, forcing your arm away from him and tried to look less vulnerable in the sight of him.
But he saw through you too easily, seeing the way you shut your walls around him.
"I was waiting for you."
You looked up to him sharply, feeling your throat closing in on you. "You have to be joking right?" You asked in disbelief, "You have no right to say that. We're just friends after all." You added, your hands were trembling out of frustration.
Suho furrowed his eyebrows, "(Name), what do you mean?"
"Oh my God. Suho, are you really that dense?" You tried again, wishing he would finally understand why you were acting like this.
He looked at you like he was trying hard to grasp the situation. But you continued.
"I like you! And I can't keep acting like what you're doing means nothing to me—because it does. Everything you do matters to me!" You ranted, taking deep breaths to calm yourself down.
Suho didn't reply, he just slowly walked closer to you, and you let him.
His hands, that stayed mostly in his pockets, placed themselves on your cheeks, he felt warm as you were right now after confessing to him. You waited for him to say something, anything, so you wouldn't hear your heart beating so loudly.
"You're not a friend." He calmly stated, his voice wavering slightly as if he was finding words to glue together.
You gave him a look, "Then what am I to you?" You whisper, attempting to shy away from his deep gaze.
Suho tilted his head closer to yours, feeling each other's warm breath before he leaned in, placing his lips on yours.
It felt like you melted, your hands clutched his jacket for dear life as one of his hands smoothly settled behind the back of your neck, the other on your hip, deepening the kiss.
Maybe that was your answer.
That he has always thought of you more than just a friend, he simply didn’t know how to say it. He just waited for the right time.
When you both pulled away, he leaned his forehead against yours, "You're gonna be mine." He says confidently, moving his head back when you laughed.
He knew that sound was going to be his favorite.
You nodded with a smile, "Good. Because I like that better."
“Let me drive you home?” Suho asked, but he didn’t have to ask, you knew he was already getting his helmet from his motor top box.
“You ask that to anyone else?” You teased, but you let out a small sound when he quickly pressed his lips on you again and plopped the helmet on you.
“Just you.”
“Woah, the tofu’s so soft. (Name), try this.” Suho commented beside you, bringing up a spoonful to your lips—you rolled your eyes at his antics, but opened your mouth anyway, tasting the perfect blend of saltiness and bean-like flavor of the silky tofu.
You hummed, “It is. I like it.”
Suho looked like a puppy, beaming in pride and ate more, not forgetting to put some on your plate. However, you see the students around you take a glance at your table that made you sigh and shake your head.
Sure, people looked at you and Suho still, whispering amongst themselves but you couldn’t care less. Since now you can’t even deny the dating rumors when you have your hand intertwined with his.
And it was more than okay for the both of you.

a popular weak hero author is using AI to write - @/juliettejwnewinesa
while looking for weak hero fics to read, i noticed this author's writing sounds an awful lot like ai wrote it (⊙_⊙) and i did some further digging and i'm like 97% sure most of their fics are from chatgpt
1. word counts of fics don't match up
you can clearly see that it's nowhere near the written word count. (fic here)
Tumblr media
it doesn't look anywhere near 8.2k words. there are multiple instances of it and i'll link them below
1 2 3 4 5 - if you go and check personally you can see that it just doesn't add up. even if you're just doing a broad estimation of what the word count is, it's around 10x more than the actual and it'd be clear.
here's me using chatgpt to do something similar with a random request. the word count is very off too
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i did notice that they put the actual word counts on some fics so i'll give them credit for that, but there's just too many with the far-fetched ones to be a coincidence
2. wrong name for characters? screenshot 1 screenshot 2 screenshot 3 screenshot 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the wrong surname for baku..? (¯ . ¯;) either this is bad proof-reading (thrice) or it's the AI messing up because the author has written multiple fics with baku where they get the name right. + chatgpt thinks baku = bakugo.. also the ask has the name spelled differently and the AI generated the wrong name based off of it too 😭 almost every other fic is "Seongje", but this one is "Seong Jae" because of the ask
Tumblr media
3. screenshot 1 screenshot 2
there's a complete 180 in these responses and the second one is in the same exact vibe of chat gpt
Tumblr media Tumblr media
thanks for reading and please do not write off ai generated fics as your own writing 💔 no offense to anyone with a similar writing style but after reading through multiple fics i find it really robotic, especially the headcanons (・_・)

Pairing: Go Hyuntak x fem!reader
Summary: Having known of Hyuntak from his training days of Tae Kwon Do, you never thought you'd run into him again. What started as admiration from afar quickly turned into the beginning of something more.
Word Count: 5.3k
A/N: previous ☆ masterlist ☆ next
Tumblr media
Pain. That's all you felt as you struggled to put your hair up in a high ponytail. You still felt sore from Friday's beating, but it was slowly going away, as were your bruises. Hyuntak had messaged you about where to meet him and his friends today, so you were trying to get ready. He said it was at a basketball court so you settled for a tight shirt, baggy black pants and your favorite sneakers.
“Here,” Soo-ah offered to help, taking the hair tie from you. “Let me do it.”
Your friends had come over again to help you with getting ready, and you were grateful. When you told them yesterday about everything that had happened between you and Hyuntak, they were speechless. But you could tell their happiness for you didn’t reach their eyes. Even now, they remained quiet. Ja-in was laying on your bed, playing her game.
“Hey.” You looked at Soo-ah in the mirror. “What's with you guys?”
“What do you mean?”
“Ever since I told you Hyuntak became my boyfriend, you both have been acting weird.”
Soo-ah finished doing your hair and turned to look at Ja-in, who sat up. She explained, “We just… we don't want to see you get hurt.”
“You think Hyuntak would hurt me?” Your eyes widened in shock.
“No, no!” Soo-ah shakes her head. “We just think because of the rumors about him and his friends and what happened a few months ago, it's not a good idea to be associated with him.”
“Because of that stuff with the Union?” You raised a brow.
You weren't sure about exactly what had happened apart from some rumors going around at your school. Rumor had it that Eunjang High School had won in a fight against the Union, with Baku leading the whole ordeal. Some of the girls at your school had dated some of the Union boys, and they were pissed off.
“Don't look at us like we're crazy. Do you really want to get mixed up in all that?” Ja-in crossed her arms.
“Ever since they won, there's nothing to get involved in. It's been peaceful.” You protested.
“Peaceful?” Soo-ah lifted up your shirt, revealing your healing bruise. “Look at what happened just from being with him for a few days!”
“That's not fair. It's not his fault Yuna is crazy.”
Ja-in laughed in frustration. “Hey, I didn't take you for the delusional type.”
You stood up, facing her. “Call it what you want, but you both knew I liked him even before the Union. Besides, don't you think I've thought about the risks already?” You turned to look at Soo-ah, pointing to the spot of your bruise. “You think this doesn't remind me every day?
“I know what I'm getting myself into. You don't have to add salt to the wound. I'm sorry you feel the way you do about him, but nothing you can say will change my mind about Hyuntak. He's the one I want. And by some miracle, he wants me to. I finally get to be with him. Why can't you just be happy for me?”
Soo-ah and Ja-in looked at one another. Then they sat down on your bed, leaving a space in the middle for you. You crossed your arms, trying not to cry out of frustration as you sat down between them.
“We're sorry.” Ja-in began. “We didn’t mean to upset you.”
Soo-ah put an arm around you, “But you have to understand, seeing you get beat up like that, we thought we were going to lose you.”
Holding your hand, Ja-in continued, “We know Hyuntak would never do anything to hurt you. But hearing about the fights he and his friends have been in. It's hard not to imagine you getting caught up in that.”
“I know,” you exhaled, “but I'll be fine. I promise.”
“We're happy for you, really. From what we saw yesterday, he's certainly very protective of you.” Soo-ah smiled.
Your friends squeezed you in for a group hug. You understood why they were worried. Having them care so much made you realize that they just want what's best for you. You were certain they would grow to like Hyuntak more once they got to know him.
Later, the taxi dropped you off at the meet-up spot. Spring had finally arrived, and the weather was bright and sunny, perfect for an active day out. As you walked towards the basketball courts, your eyes immediately found Hyuntak and his friends. Five of them were shooting hoops with him, and you recognized Juntae and Sieun sitting off in the sidelines on the steps.
“y/n!” Hyuntak waved at you once he saw you coming.
From where you stood, you could see he wore a white shirt and gray sweatpants with his vans you've seen him wear before. Making the timeout signal towards his friends, he jogged up to you with a grin on his face. “Hi. I'm glad you found your way okay.”
“Hi.” You smiled back shyly.
Hyuntak chuckled nervously, unsure if he should hug you, especially since he had worked up a bit of a sweat. “We're just practicing for the final basketball season next semester. Come on, I'll introduce you to everyone.”
Taking your hand in his, he led you to where everyone had gathered. You looked down at your intertwined hands and felt your heart flutter. It sounded silly, but you didn't think you'd ever get used to it. Blushing, you looked up at him, and he caught your eye. Smiling, he asked, “What?” Shaking your head, you smiled too, “Nothing.”
“Hey, everyone!” Hyuntak announced once you got closer. “There's someone I want you to meet.”
As all his friends gathered in front of the two of you, you felt intimidated by their tall and strong figures, especially Baku. His broad shoulders stood out under the red basketball jersey he wore. You didn't know a lot about him, except he was Hyuntak's most trusted friend, captain of the basketball team, and peacekeeper of their school. Because of that, you wanted him to like you. Not just as Hyuntak's girlfriend, but as a person in general.
Park Humin seemed to read your mind because his big brown eyes softened and he smiled gently at you. You exhaled a breath you didn't know you were holding and smiled back. “It's good to see you again, y/n,” he said. “Kicked anyone's ass lately?”
Hyuntak sighed in disapproval at his joke. At least, that's what you thought it was until you realized he was actually waiting for an answer. You felt a reassuring squeeze to your hand as Hyuntak gave you a nod to go ahead.
“Oh. Um… no?” You told him. It sounded like a question.
“Good.” Baku grinned. “Don't want you getting hurt again.”
“You know the idiot here, Park Humin,” Hyuntak rolled his eyes. He pointed to three boys standing off to the side, “those three over there are our teammates from school. Guys, this is y/n.” They waved at you, and you waved back.
“That's Ahn Suho, Seo Juntae, and Yeon Sieun.” He finished the introductions with the friends who had helped you on the first day you ran into them.
Out of the three, Sieun stood out to you. You had heard rumors about him from last year, how he was good at calculating and using things around him to his advantage in fights. You knew he was incredibly smart, brave, and much more of an introvert than you. He was also very protective of his friends, particularly of Suho, who was leaning against him with an arm on his shoulder.
“Hello,” you said before they noticed you staring too long, “it's nice to properly meet you all.”
“We were just watching the game over there. Want to join us?” Juntae asked, gesturing to where they were seated.
“Sure.” You nodded.
Hyuntak gave your hand a light squeeze. “Wish me luck?” Before you could say anything, he leaned down and gently pressed his lips to yours. With one last kiss, he backed up, giving you a smug look. You watched a bit dazed as he let go of your hand and jogged back to continue the game.
Sitting down between Juntae and Sieun, you felt the most comfortable with them. You couldn't explain it. Something about the aura they both emitted gave you a sense of calm. The three of you silently watched the game together until Juntae offered you a banana milk drink.
“Oh, thank you,” you smiled at him happily.
“You're welcome,” Juntae said, “we have some snacks here too, in case you're hungry.”
You could only nod, not expecting their generosity and kindness. They didn’t even know you, and yet they were already treating you as a friend. A warmth flooded through you, and you tried to hide your smile as you opened your drink. You took a sip and then focused on the game.
Hyuntak, Baku, and Suho were on one team while the other three were on the other. Watching them play, you realized just how good they were at communicating with each other, passing the ball at the right time, or blocking for someone when needed. Not only that, Hyuntak was just as skilled at basketball as he was with Taekwondo. You watched in amazement as he shot a three-pointer with ease, giving Suho a quick high five after.
“Wow.” You breathed, a grin slowly showing on your face.
“Are you having fun?” A voice to your left said. You turned to look at Sieun, who was watching the game, and turned his head to look at you.
Trying not to look too surprised that he was speaking to you, you nodded, “Yes.”
The same stoic expression remained on his face as he looked back at the game. You closed your eyes in frustration towards yourself for not keeping the conversation going. Befriending Sieun wasn't going to be easy. It was hard enough to tell what he was thinking, so you could only imagine what kind of first impression he had of you. You really wanted to get to know him.
“Nice!” Baku praised Suho for making another basket. As the game continued on, you noticed that Hyuntak's water bottle was running low. You recognized his duffle bag the bottle was next to from his room.
“I'll be right back,” you told Juntae, standing up.
Hyuntak caught the ball Baku had passed to him when he noticed you walking off. He was about to call another time out when he saw Sieun say something to Juntae, then stand up and walk after you. Letting out a sigh of relief, he focused back on the game, knowing that you were probably the safest with him.
You reached down to grab the cold water bottle from the vending machine when you heard loud voices coming up behind you. Turning around, a group of guys were entranced by something playing on one of their phones, their excitement visible. Just as you started to walk off, a voice called out towards you.
“Whoa! It's her!”
Stopping midstep, you turned around to see four pairs of eyes staring at you in amazement. You looked around to make sure it really was you and not somebody else. Lifting up your hand, you pointed at yourself in confusion, “Me?”
“You're the girl that kicked Yuna in the face!”
You didn't know how to feel. A mixture of embarrassment and confusion still. Did somebody send them a video? You remembered some of the girls had been recording the fight, but you never thought it would reach other schools. If it had indeed gone viral, things were not looking good when you went back to school tomorrow.
“Hey, you must be pretty tough to take on that many girls,” one of them said. With a wink at you, he added, “Emphasis on the pretty.”
Another joined in, “Do you have a boyfriend?”
“Hey, dumbass. She's probably dating Go Hyuntak. Can't you tell from the video?”
Everything was happening too fast. Many thoughts were running through your head, and you just wanted to be with Hyuntak again. From what you could tell, the boys meant no harm and were just impressed by what they saw. You looked at them as they waited for an answer from you.
“I'm sorry,” you gave a quick apologetic bow before turning to leave.
“Wait!” One called after you.
The group of guys stopped abruptly in their tracks when they noticed Sieun approaching. You looked at him in surprise because you hadn't even heard him follow you. He walked up next to you and glared at the boys.
“Yeon Sieun.” The voice of the boy who spoke had a tone of fear behind it.
You slowly moved to stand behind Sieun, but still kept your guard up just in case. The boys had begun to step back, and you watched as their bravado turned cowardly. You were speechless. What could Sieun have done to make them react in such a way? At his mere presence?
“We're sorry,” the guy with the phone said, “we didn't know she was with you.”
“Just go.” said Sieun.
They all turned and hurriedly walked off. You were still watching them leave when you felt a hand touch yours. Not realizing you were gripping the water bottle too tight, you eased up after looking at Sieun. His eyes were filled with worry as he asked, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you nodded. “Thank you.”
“Come on. Gotak will be wondering what's taking so long.”
You both started walking back toward the courts in silence. At the mention of his name, you didn't know if you should tell Hyuntak about what just happened. Or about the video. It was probably nothing, and yet a part of you knew that you were wrong.
“You should tell him,” Sieun looked at you with an expression you couldn't place. “It's best that he knows everything that concerns you. Trust me. Secrets have a way of getting out.”
Before you could ask what he meant, Baku's loud voice was heard from down the field, “Hey! Hurry up! You're about to miss the winning shot!”
Sieun went down first, and you followed after. Juntae greeted you both and explained how both teams were now tied. The one who makes the next shot wins the game. He laughed as he added that the losing team had to buy food for everyone. You tried your best to focus on the game, not wanting Hyuntak to worry.
Everyone watched in anticipation as Baku passed the ball to Suho. He dribbled the ball towards their side of the net, his blocker coming up right in front of him. Faking making the shot, he quickly passed it to Hyuntak, who caught it, and made the winning basket. The boys went wild, and you cheered along with Juntae. You look at Sieun, who had a small smile on his face.
Hyuntak rushed over to you, and you threw your arms around him, not caring if he was sweaty. You were just happy to be in his arms again. He spun you around, the happiness radiating off of him contagious, and you let yourself forget what had happened earlier. At least for the moment. He set you down, taking your face in his hands and kissing you with a smile.
“You were incredible.” You praised him in between kisses.
“Yeah?” He paused to look at you, his eyes sparkling.
You nodded, pulling him back in for one more kiss. Hyuntak chuckled, “Hey, maybe I should win more often.”
Rolling your eyes, you laughed as you handed him the water bottle you bought for him. He smiled and thanked you before opening it and practically chugged the whole thing down. You watched in awe, still not believing that this multi talented man was your boyfriend. He caught you staring so you looked away, blushing.
Baku walked up to you both. “Sangmin is buying lunch,” he grinned. “There's a new place I've been wanting to check out. Are you down?”
Hyuntak looked at you, “What do you think? Want to try it?”
As much as you wanted to, you were beginning to feel overstimulated. You didn’t want to ruin their dinner by not being fully there mentally. Your thoughts were still all over the place, and frankly, you just wanted to go back home. So you shook your head, “You guys go ahead. It was a great game, though.”
“Gotak is just glad he got to show off in front of you,” Baku smiled, bumping his shoulder against his friend's. “Rain check on the dinner then, guys!” He said, walking back to Juntae and his teammates.
“You're not going with them?” You looked at Hyuntak.
“I'd rather spend more time with you.”
His words filled you with glee, and you took his hand in yours. As you said goodbye to everyone else, you noticed Sieun and Suho were doing some practice shots a few feet away. Suho was standing behind Sieun as he fixed his arms in order to get the right position for the shot. Together, they watched as the ball went up and into the net. You watched as Suho praised Sieun, who looked at him with an intensity that made you look away out of privacy.
“Sieun! Suho! Come say goodbye!” Baku waved them over.
“Hey, y/n,” Suho said as they walked up to you, “What did you think of the game? Hyuntak looked pretty awesome, right?”
“You all did.” You smiled at him. “It was great. And it was nice to see you all again.”
“Get home safe.” Sieun told you.
Juntae handed Hyuntak his belongings, along with the basketball. He smiled, “Thanks Jun. Let me know when everyone gets home, yeah?”
“I will. We'll see you tomorrow at school.” Juntae waved at you. “And we're looking forward to seeing you again, y/n.”
They all waved goodbye as you and Hyuntak started your walk home. You bounced the basketball as you went and couldn't remember the last time you played. Hand-eye coordination was not your best, which is why if you had to do a school sport, you were more of a track and field type of person.
“Next time we will go somewhere we can all enjoy,” Hyuntak told you, “but did you have fun?”
“I did.” You stopped bouncing the ball and looked at him. “Your friends are all really nice.”
“I'm glad you think so. They're good guys.”
Hesitating because you didn't want to make assumptions, you eventually asked, “Are Suho and Sieun dating?”
“They are,” he said with a smile. “It’s impossible to miss seeing their level of devotion, huh?”
“It looks pretty intense.”
He stopped to take the basketball from you and slipped his free hand into yours. “They went through a lot the past two years. One thing you should know is that those two would do anything for each other. Suho is Sieun's first and only priority, and Sieun is Suho's.”
Continuing the walk, you both turned a corner into a busy street. It was crowded and noisy, people rushing to get to where they needed to go. You weren't familiar with the area, but you felt safe with Hyuntak. He pulled you in closer, making sure you stayed with him.
“You make it seem like Sieun would leave you and everyone if there was a choice between his friends, or Suho.”
“I wouldn't necessarily phrase it like that,” he pondered.
“I'm right?”
“I guess it just depends on the matter at hand. Even if that were the case, I would respect Sieun's decision. Especially now that I understand where he's coming from,” Hyuntak looked at you. “To put the one who matters most to you first.”
Your heart skipped a beat. Feeling like there was nothing more to say, you leaned against him with a smile. He let go of your hand to put his arm over your shoulder, and you wrapped your arm around his waist. Kissing the top of your head, the walk continued on for a few more minutes until you saw that you were standing in front of his place.
“Do you want to come in for a while? We could order pizza.”
“Sure.” You beamed at him. “I'd like that.”
Later, after Hyuntak had showered and rested, you were both sitting on the floor finishing up your dinner. You let him tell you about the game and what you had missed while you and Sieun were gone. The way he talked about basketball, full of life and joy, you could tell the sport meant a lot to him.
“Suho passing the ball at the last minute was a surprise,” Hyuntak laughed. “He usually makes the shots even if someone is blocking him.”
“It's a good thing you're quick on your feet then.” You smiled.
He blushed, letting out a small chuckle at your compliment. Then he let out a big stretch and sighed, “It's still kind of early. Do you want to go home?”
You shook your head.
Hyuntak smiled, pleased with your answer, “We can watch a movie. Why don't you pick something and I'll clean up here.”
As you scrolled through the movies, your mind wandered back to what Sieun had said. How you should tell Hyuntak about what had happened today and the video. You weren't sure how to bring it up without worrying him. Not to mention, he was in a good mood after winning the practice game, and you didn't want to spoil the evening.
You felt him sit next to you, his arm settled on the couch behind you, “Hey, what's wrong?”
Of course he would notice your change in mood. Not wanting to look him in the eyes just yet, you noticed his shorts had risen just above his right knee when he sat down. You placed a gentle hand on it and carefully lifted the fabric just a bit more to see his scar. You gasped softly, slowly tracing it with your fingers. This was the first time Hyuntak wore shorts without his usual knee brace, and you couldn't help but wonder if he wanted you to see it.
“That feels nice.” Hyuntak whispered, closing his eyes at your warm touch. He then opened them and looked at you, “Ask me anything you want.”
You hesitated, trying to figure out where to start. “Did the Union do this?”
“Yes.”
For some reason, you couldn't bring yourself to ask why they attacked him in the first place. They were a disgusting excuse for human beings, and it made you angry at the unfair advantage they had. You knew Hyuntak wouldn't lose a fight unless he was outnumbered. Not ready to hear the reason behind the ambush, you went with a different question.
“You were alone?”
“Yes,” he repeated. “I was on my way home when they jumped me.”
The anger you felt suddenly turned into sadness. You leaned against Hyuntak's chest so he wouldn't see your tears start to fall. Your hand never left his knee, and you could only imagine the pain he felt during it all. It crushed you, knowing he suffered by himself and possibly even more during his recovery process. The trauma that comes from something like that was too much for anyone to bear.
“You must've been so scared,” you softly cried.
There was a short pause until he said, “Maybe a little.” He placed a hand on your shoulder for comfort.
In all honesty, Hyuntak was scared at the time. Scared of what his future would look like. If he would heal enough to be able to continue Taekwondo. Scared for Baku, wondering if they would go after him next. His fears turned into reality when the doctor told him his Taekwondo days were over. And then again, when Baekjin convinced Baku to finally join the Union.
But all of that was in the past now. He's made peace with knowing he'll never be at the same level he once was. And with never knowing what could've been. Hyuntak doesn't dwell on it anymore. His friends and you. That's what was currently happening. Dreams come and go. Life can get in the way. Yet he knows that as long as he has you and his best friends, everything has a way of working out.
“y/n, it's okay,” he moves you so you're looking at him, “I'm okay, really.”
Hyuntak said it with such certainty that you knew it was true. He was here with you, healthy and alive. That's all that mattered. Wiping your tears with his thumb, he gave you a small smile. You tried to return it but failed. He sighed, pulling you in for a hug, “So emotional.” There was a hint of humor behind his tone.
“It's not funny,” you frowned.
“No, it's not,” Hyuntak exhaled. “It's touching to know that you care so much about me, though.”
Whether he wanted you to or not, you let out a chuckle. Pulling back to face him, you intertwined your hand with his, finally removing your hand from his knee. His eyes searched yours, trying to see if you felt better. To answer him, you leaned in to kiss him, slow and gentle. You made a promise to yourself to make sure he never felt the way he did back then.
His kisses were soft and sweet as he placed his hand against your cheek. A warm and fuzzy feeling built up inside of you, your heart feeling like it could burst. You realized that your feelings for Hyuntak had grown stronger over the past couple of days. This new and powerful feeling had you wanting to give everything and do anything for him.
Hyuntak sighed, touching his nose against yours. “For the record, I care about you just as much. I can't see myself without you now that I'm yours.”
You swooned at his words. He said it so easily, as if he had already made up his mind about you. Granted, you had done the same about him. You couldn't let go of him if you tried. Every day with him only rooted him further into your heart. He was becoming a part of you that you also couldn't live without.
“I'll always want you.” You said simply, pulling back to properly look at him. There was a change in his eyes once you said those words. He smirked, his expression fervent.
“Good. Because I'm not going anywhere.”
He kissed you harder this time, his actions speaking louder than his words. Hyuntak wasn't just a talker. Once he set his mind on something, odds were he was going to follow through. As he deepened the kiss, you knew that the only way he would leave you was if you told him too.
You felt his hands explore your body over your clothes. He was everywhere. Even his fresh smell from the shower filled your senses. His hands picked you up slightly, so you were straddling him. Your hands fisted his hair as you pressed your body against his, his arms wrapping around you.
A whimper escaped when he bit your bottom lip.
“What is it, baby?” He murmured against your skin, his lips traveling down to your jaw until they settled on your neck.
Your mind was racing, but you didn't want him to stop. You shivered as he kept touching you, letting him have his way with you. His hands went under your shirt, and you felt his calloused fingers run along your bare skin. Arching your back, you were slowly becoming a mess, and he knew it.
“Should we show everyone at your school tomorrow that you belong to me?” Hyuntak breathed as he started leaving love bites and marks along your neck, “My pretty girl.”
“Hyuntak,” you panted.
Closing your eyes, you relished in the way his mouth felt against you. You moaned as he worked his way down your neck, and you gasped when he lifted your shirt up almost all the way. You quickly pulled your shirt back down, but Hyuntak already saw your healing bruise. Just like that, the magic switched off, and it was back to reality. He leaned back, his eyes worried.
You were catching your breath as you touched your forehead against his, “It doesn't hurt anymore. I'm fine.”
“I'm walking you to school tomorrow,” he said, determined.
Hyuntak gently removed you from his lap and stood up. You watched as he went inside his room and came back wearing a light color block jacket and your favorite blue hoodie of his at hand. He offered it to you. Taking it, you slowly stood up. Since you were going home, and the night was over, you figured now was the time to tell him what had happened earlier in the day.
“There's something else.”
He stopped midway from picking up his keys. Looking at you confused, he asked, "What?”
“When I went to go buy your water bottle during the game, a few guys came up to me. They recognized me from a video going around with us and Yuna.”
Hyuntak's jaw clenched as he processed this. “Did they hurt you?”
“No,” you shook your head. “Sieun found me and told them to leave.”
“Why didn't you mention this earlier?”
“I didn't want to make you worry. You were so happy after winning the game.”
His face relaxed a bit at your words. With a sigh, he walked towards you and reached for your hand, holding it tightly, “I'm sorry. I know you meant well, but you have to tell me whenever things like that happen, sweetheart.”
“I know. I should've listened to Sieun. He said to tell you,” You looked down at your feet. “I'm sorry.”
Placing a finger underneath your chin, he made you look at him again, “What else did he say?”
“That secrets have a way of getting out.”
He has a point, Hyuntak thought. Suho eventually found out about what happened to Sieun on his birthday, and the outcome was disastrous. It wasn't either of their faults, but if there's one thing Hyuntak learned from that situation was that keeping things quiet didn't always end well.
“Why are people afraid of him?”
Your question seemed to bring him out of his thoughts. He looked at you, caught off guard, “Hm?”
“The guys we ran into. They didn’t want anything to do with Sieun and took off, scared.”
“It's a long story. Come on. Let's get you home first.”
He helped you into his hoodie, and you both made your way out the door. During the taxi ride, Hyuntak told you about what happened between Sieun and Suho over the past two years. About the fights they got into in order to protect and defend the other, without giving it a second thought. Hyuntak also mentioned how the first time he fought Sieun, it was because he said some things he shouldn't have, which he later apologized for.
“Experiencing the way he fights first-hand, it would probably freak out anyone. I'm not surprised those idiots ran off when they did.”
“He really would do anything for Suho, wouldn't he?”
“In a heartbeat.”
You began to understand Sieun after hearing more about him. For someone who ended up in a lot of tough situations, he never once let it change who he is. Someone as kind and warm as him deserved a person like Suho. The taxi came to a stop, signaling that you made it home. Hyuntak walked you to your front door with the taxi waiting for him. You began to remove his hoodie, but he stopped you.
“Keep it. It looks better on you,” he smiled. It slowly faded as he rubbed the back of his head. “Listen, I might be a bit overprotective this week. Just until I know you'll be safe at school.”
“Is there anything I can do?” You asked, wanting to ease his worries.
“Stay safe,” he said, looking into your eyes. “And stay out of trouble.”
Just as you were about to object at his last request, he leaned down to kiss you.
“Sleep well, y/n. I'll be back to pick you up in the morning.”

silent treatment

pairing go hyuntak x f!reader
summary you and hyuntak argue over his lack of communication, leading to you giving him the silent treatment.

“Why can’t you ever communicate properly?” you asked. “I mean, it’s always this. You never ever communicate with me, and it always ends up with us arguing. I’m sick of it.”
“What do you want me to do?” Hyuntak replied.
The two of you stood in the kitchen, arguing back and forth about Hyuntak’s lack of communication and tardiness.
“I want you to at least communicate with me. You’re always coming home late, you barely ever answer my texts anymore, and I hate it,” you said, trying not to raise your voice.
“I’m sorry, I know I’ve been slipping up. I’ve just been hanging out playing basketball with Baku, and spending time with Sieun and Juntae. I lose track of time so fast. You know I don’t mean it.”
“Actions speak louder than words, and you clearly prioritize hanging out with your friends more than your girlfriend.”
“Y/n…”
“I have no issue with you wanting to hang out with your friends, but when it gets to the point where you can’t even communicate properly with me, then it bothers me.”
Hyuntak reached out to grab your hands, trying his best to console and reassure you. You could feel the tears forming in your eyes, ready to pour out.
“Don’t touch me,” you spoke harshly, letting go of his hands in an even harsher manner. “Don’t even talk to me.”
Before you could let the tears make their way out of your eyes, you rushed to your bedroom, slamming the door behind you. You could hear Hyuntak sighing and calling out your name again. And before you knew it, the tears streamed down your face, wetting the sleeves of your shirt, leaving tear stains. In your 6 months of dating, you hadn’t argued with Hyuntak like this. Not to the point where you were crying and pushing Hyuntak away when you needed him the most. When he needed you the most. Were you being too harsh?
Hyuntak had planned to sleep over at your house tonight, and you two had been planning this sleepover for a while. You anticipated it for quite a while, as it was your first sleepover in a long time. But you didn’t think you’d end up here. Raising your voice at Hyuntak and pushing him away.
It had been about an hour since you last talked to Hyuntak. Deciding to get ready for bed, you left your room to wash up in the bathroom, where you saw Hyuntak sitting at the dining table. You could tell he was overthinking and nervous by his body language.
“Y/n, I’m sorry,” he said while standing up immediately.
You didn’t respond. Instead, you went to the bathroom to brush your teeth and wash your face. Your silent treatment towards him wasn’t intentional, but you couldn’t bear to even say a word out of fear that you would only break down in front of him. And when you came out, he was still there, nervously thinking about what he should say.
“Are you really not going to talk to me?”
Your back was turned to him. No response.
“Can I at least still stay over?”
You stopped in your tracks. Of course, you wanted him to stay over. You wanted to lie with him, arms around each other, laughing and eventually falling asleep together. You wanted to feel his touch so bad. But you couldn’t bring yourself to form a response, no matter how badly you wanted to say yes. No matter how badly you wanted to turn around and hug him, apologizing for your jarring words that stabbed him like a knife to his heart. You nodded slightly, hoping he would notice, but not making it obvious before returning back to your room. You left the door slightly ajar as an invitation for him, that maybe, just maybe, he’d come climbing next to you. And he did.
The lights were off, and it was dark. You had been lying in bed for what felt like an eternity, in hopes of Hyuntak coming to sleep next to you. That was when you heard the sound of Hyuntak shuffling, opening the door ever so slightly, setting his bag down. You didn’t dare to look in his direction. You could hear him changing and going to wash up before coming back and closing the door. He stood on his side of the bed, hesitating whether he should sleep next to you or leave like he had originally planned. He climbed under the covers, next to you, leaving a gap. And for the next half hour, you were as still as a rock, and so was he. You didn’t dare to move a muscle, pretending to be asleep. You wanted to reach over, to feel him, to make sure that he was okay.
But you couldn’t handle this uncomfortable tension anymore. You turned around, closing the gap between the two of you, and hugged him gently from behind, wrapping your arm around him. You stayed like this for a minute, afraid he had fallen asleep due to his lack of movement. But eventually, you felt him grab your hand, rubbing his thumb along yours.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t’ve lashed out earlier,” you whispered into his neck, feeling the tears form once again.
“It’s okay, baby,” he replied. “I’m sorry for not communicating and leaving you worried all the time. It won’t happen anymore, I promise.”
Your tears started wetting the back of his shirt, a wave of guilt washing over you. Hyuntak turned around to face you.
“Don’t cry,” he said, wiping your tears.
“I didn’t mean to say that earlier. Of course, I want you to talk to me. Of course, I want you to touch me and hold me,” you said between tears.
“I know, and it was so hard leaving you alone. But I know you didn’t mean it.”
He held your face, brushing the strands of hair behind your ear, smiling at you. He leaned in to kiss you, your lips melting into his. He was your missing puzzle piece. What would you ever do without him?
Pulling away, you smiled at him, “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
It was morning, and you always slept better with Hyuntak by your side.
“Hi,” you whispered, peeking one eye open at him.
“Hello, my wonderful girlfriend,” he said, smiling at you. “Did you sleep okay?”
“I sleep like a baby with you.”
“That’s good. Maybe I should sleep over more.”
“Please do.”
The two of you laid in bed for a while, laughing and talking, before you had an idea. An idea you always knew you’d lose to. Tickling him, knowing he wasn’t ticklish at all.
“Hyuntak…” you said.
“Hmmm?”
Your hands trailed up to his, your hands prodding the typical tickle spots. He didn’t move a single bit.
“How many times are you gonna try and tickle me? It never works.”
“But it’s so fun!”
You continued with your fun, sitting up right this time, continuing to tickle him.
“Thanks for the massage, it feels nice.”
“Hey!” you said, this time trying to tickle him more aggressively.
“It’s not working,” he says, crossing his arms behind his head.
Continuing to tickle him, you straddled his hips, holding a better position.
“Whatever,” you said jokingly, stopping your teasing.
His hands were on your waist now, hands inching their way under the hem of your tank top.
“Hyuntak…” you said lowly, looking down at him.
You placed your hands on his, guiding his hands under your top, sitting right under your breasts. You let his hands trail up even more, letting his hands grab them. He started playing with your breasts, squeezing them under his palms, moving to your nipples. You threw your head back and let out a soft moan. Letting go of his hands, you took off your shirt, exposing your chest completely.
“Fuck,” he whispered, continuing to play with your nipples. “You’re so beautiful.”
“D-Don’t stop,” you moaned.
“Yeah? Does it feel good?”
You only nodded, unable to form words under his touch. You could feel him getting hard under you, and slowly you moved your hips, grinding against him.
“Fuck, you feel so good,” he breathed out, admiring you.
You continued to move yourself on top of him, feeling yourself getting wet, your panties soaked. It was only then when Hyuntak got up to sit upright, back against the headboard with you in his lap still. Helping him take off his shirt, you got off his lap to help him take off his pants, his hard cock springing out from under. He guided your hands to his member, stroking in the familiar up and down motion. You continued pleasing him, Hyuntak letting out low groans from your movement.
Still jerking him, you lowered your head to his cock, licking the tip, before taking him all in your mouth.
“You’re so good,” he groaned out, grabbing your hair and pushing your head down further.
You continued to take all of him in, the tip of his cock hitting the back of your throat.
“You’re gonna make me come if you keep doing this, y/n.”
Pushing yourself off his cock, you leaned in to kiss him, your lips trailing down to his jaw, leaving kisses down to his neck.
“I want you to fuck me, please,” you practically whined in his ear.
Pulling away, you took off your shorts and underwear, the both of you now completely naked. Hyuntak praised and worshipped your body like a temple. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you. Your core was burning with heat and you needed him inside of you. You straddled him once again, this time, skin to skin and not a single sheet of fabric separating the two of you. You lined yourself up with his cock, sinking down, whimpering in pleasure.
“You’re so tight,” he moaned against your ear.
You moved your hips in a circular motion against him, grabbing his shoulders for support and arching your back out of pleasure. You started moving up and down, bouncing on his cock, Hyuntak grabbing a mouthful of your breasts, sucking and licking your nipples. He continued playing with the other one in his hand, while you still bounced up and down on his cock.
“I-I’m gonna come,” he moaned against your chest.
“Come for me, baby,” you replied, grabbing his biceps.
You felt him loosen up under you, body twitching as he released himself into you, groaning and whimpering against your skin. You could feel your orgasm coming soon and your body turned to jelly as you reached your high.
“I’m close,” you said.
Hyuntak moved his hands to your hips, helping you reach your orgasm by moving your hips with him. You threw your head back, moaning with gratification as you reached your peak.
“There you go, baby,” he said, talking you through your high.
Dropping next to him on the bed, you shyly covered yourself with the comforter, feeling your face creep up with heat. Even though Hyuntak had seen you like this multiple times prior, you still felt shy and vulnerable in front of him even after all these months.
“Are you being shy?” he asked, propping himself up on his elbow next to you.
You responded by pulling the covers up over your face, pulling them down only slightly to take a peek at Hyuntak’s face.
“Oh, so now you’re giving me the silent treatment. Again.”
“No!” you giggled, pulling the comforter off your face and cuddling against him.
“That’s what I thought.”

Being Hyuntak’s best friend since childhood definitely came with its ups and downs, more ups than downs, though. One of them was tagging along on a trip to Jeju-do with his friends. You had been on plenty of vacations with Hyuntak in the past, as your families were close. But this was the first time you two were going together without your families.
“Y/n! You wanna come to Jeju-do with us?” Hyuntak asked over lunch. “Baku’s been planning it for a while, and I thought you might wanna tag along.”
“Yeah, you should come, it’ll be super fun,” Baku replied from across the lunch table.
“When are you guys going?” you asked.
“Just over the weekend. We’re leaving Friday and coming back Sunday,” said Baku.
“I should be able to if I don’t have Taekwondo practice,”
“Yes!” Hyuntak said, high-fiving you.
And so, Friday rolled around quicker than expected. You packed your clothes and met Hyuntak and his friends at the ferry station. The ride itself was smoother and shorter than you had expected. Of course, Baku kept bothering Sieun the entire ride, who, unsurprisingly, was studying on vacation. Who studies on vacation?
“Guys, I only booked two rooms for the five of us,” Baku said worriedly. “And I couldn’t change the booking after Hyuntak invited y/n.”
“Maybe they’re double beds?” you asked.
“We can check, but I think only one of the rooms had two beds.”
Hurriedly, Baku got the keys for the room, and to your surprise, there were two beds in only one of the rooms.
“Oh…” you said.
“What should we do?” asked Hyuntak.
“Well, somebody’s gonna have to share a bed. And it’s not gonna be me,” Baku replied, looking around.
“Why don’t y/n and Hyuntak take the single bed? You guys are practically dating anyway!” Juntae said excitedly.
“What?” you exclaimed. “First, we are not, and second, no way!”
“Yeah! Then I can take the other bed, and Juntae and Sieun can share a bed,” Baku replied.
“Guys, cmon…” Hyuntak said, tilting his head back.
The last time you ever shared a bed with Hyuntak was years ago, when you were both seven. But deep down, you didn’t dread it because you’ve liked him since middle school. You couldn’t do anything about it, though. He was your best friend, and it’d only ruin your decade-long friendship.
You eventually settled into your rooms after dinner, folding your clothes and getting ready for bed.
“I’m gonna take a shower, if you’re not going to bed soon,” Hyuntak said.
“Yeah, that’s fine, I’ll be awake.”
He grabbed his clothes and walked to the bathroom, where you could hear him running the water and taking a shower. He came out, drying his hair with a towel, wearing a T-shirt and sweats. He took a seat in the chair next to the bed, and you couldn’t help but stare at his arms through his shirt. The sleeve of his shirt rode up the slightest bit every time he raised his arm to dry his hair, and you couldn’t peel your eyes away from it.
“The bathroom’s free now if you wanna use it,” Hyuntak said.
You were zoned out.
“Hello?” he waved his hand in your face. “Did you hear me?”
“What?”
“I said the bathroom’s free if you wanna use it.”
“Oh.”
You got up, grabbed your things, and headed to the bathroom. You washed your face, brushed your teeth, and tried your hardest to get those thoughts out of your head. It was so much harder now that you knew you had to share a bed with him for the next two days.
It was already close to midnight, and you had been up with Hyuntak, showing each other things on your phones, laughing like you normally did as best friends.
“It’s already midnight, I think Baku wants to do stuff early tomorrow,” Hyuntak said, looking at you.
“Damn it’s already midnight,” you said.
Hyuntak stood up to turn off the lights as you got under the covers of the bed. You lay close to the edge of the bed, as you felt the other side of the bed dip. You lay in silence for what felt like an eternity, neither of you moving a muscle, until Hyuntak broke the silence.
“Y/n.”
“Yeah?”
“Is this weird?” “Is what weird?”
“That we’re sharing a bed.”
Your backs were turned to each other, but you felt him shifting on the other side. He had turned to face you. He tapped you on the shoulder. You turned around to face him under the covers.
“Hi.”
“Hi,” you whispered back.
“It’s not weird, right?”
“No, it’s not.”
Your bodies were closer than before, and you could feel his legs next to yours.
“Okay, good,” he said.
You closed your eyes, still facing each other, but you could still sense him looking at you under the covers, like he had something to tell you. But he stayed silent, and you two eventually fell asleep.
“Guys, wake up!”
Baku woke the two of you up by banging on your door at seven in the morning. You opened your eyes to see Hyuntak right next to you. His arm was under you, your head and hand on his chest, and his other hand atop your hand on his chest. You two were cuddling each other.
Immediately processing what was going on, you jolted up from your position, sitting on the edge of the bed with your back facing Hyuntak.
“Y/n?”
“Sorry, I didn’t know I was that close.”
“It’s okay.”
Your heart felt like it was going to beat out of your chest. You eventually brushed it off and went to the bathroom to get ready.
You felt awkward tension between Hyuntak all day, even with everyone else, and Baku was not helping the situation.
“So did you guys do anything weird last night?” Baku teased, raising his eyebrows.
Hyuntak smacked him behind his head.
“Ow! What was that for? I’m just joking around!”
The five of you ended up exploring Jeju-do, trying all kinds of food, and of course, the beach. The tension between Hyuntak felt better and not as bad as before, but you could tell he had something to say since last night. You caught him staring at you several times, looking away quickly, though you had already noticed.
“Guys, I’m so tired,” Juntae said as the five of you walked back to the hotel.
“Get some rest, Juntae,” you said while smiling. “We can do more fun stuff tomorrow.”
Everyone went back to their rooms, saying goodnight to each other. You and Hyuntak returned to your room, the last place where you two had actually talked to each other without it being awkward. Where the two of you were, without a doubt, best friends.
“I’m gonna shower first, if that’s okay,” you said.
“Yeah, that’s fine.”
You grabbed your things and headed to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for bed. When you came out, you expected Hyuntak to be there, waiting for you to finish so he could use the bathroom. But he wasn’t.
“Hyuntak?” you called out.
No response.
So, worriedly, you got dressed and left your room to go look for him. Part of you felt guilty knowing he probably left because of what happened this morning. How you weren’t able to address the elephant in the room, and how you basically shut him out. You went outside and called his name several times before finding him sitting by the water.
“Hyuntak,” you said softly.
You sat next to him on the sand, listening to the crash of the waves. It was like this for a while, neither of you knowing what to say.
“I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t mean to make it weird or anything,” he said, finally breaking the silence.
“It’s okay. I didn’t expect to be so close.”
And again, the sound of the crashing waves was the only sound between you two.
“Y/n…”
You turned to face him.
“I was going to tell you last night…But I didn’t know what to say,” he started. “I just don’t want to ruin our friendship by saying this.”
“What do you mean?” you asked, looking at his face.
“Ever since middle school, I don’t know…Maybe in 7th grade, it was like something changed. I viewed you in a different light. I mean, every time I watched you let your hair down, or saw you doing something you were passionate about, it changed. I started admiring you and liking you more than just my best friend. I’m in love with you.”
“Hyuntak…” you said while resting your hand on his face.
You looked at his eyes, then flickered down to his lips. Without a doubt, you leaned in, closing the gap between you two. Pressing your lips against his, you felt him lean in as well.
Pulling away, you smiled at him. “I’m in love with you, too.”
And again, he leaned in this time, closing the gap. This time, more comfortable and less raw. His hand moved to your neck, and this time the kiss lasted longer than the first.
He smiled at you under the dark, his face only being lit by the moon.
“I’m cold,” you whispered.
“Let’s go back.”
Though it was a short walk back to your room, you held Hyuntak’s hand the entire way, not letting go until you got to the room. He sat down on the edge of the bed, with you standing between his legs and both hands resting on your hips.
“You’re so pretty,” he said.
You smiled at him and wrapped your arms around his neck, engulfing him in a hug. He responded by wrapping his arms around your waist, and the two of you stayed like that for a while, holding each other close against one another.
