But yeah Alex being the youngest one of the boys is top tier imo

Like him being absolutely tiny compared to the guys at the start, and he's just this anxious little scrawny kid in pastels that looks like he's about to burst into flames in humiliation when somebody so much as looks at him. But all of his friends are these older boys with way more rock/alternative aesthetics who love attention (to varying degrees), and they're constantly dragging him around to places and trying to fight on his behalf. And everybody was just So confused what the hell happened to make three of the worst behaved kids in school decide to adopt this random little blond boy who's so shy he's constantly on the brink of tears into their friend group

Then Alex hit a huge growth spurt in middle school and ended up being the tallest one in the band, and half of his anxiety turned into pure sarcasm and vague irritation. So now he's just fundamentally unimpressed as the guys Still try to fight people for him, and it confuses their classmates even more than it did before
