Brainstorm Help

I have this ridiculous whim of doing a fun chapter about the Defense force having internal award ceremonies.

Like they all vote for a bunch of categories for the year and then they all get awards for sometimes the most ridiculous stuff, but then sometimes like really cute and heartwarming things.

I need ideas. What are some categories that would be great for the Third Division?

My own mother shames me for this. Because of POTS it is like running a marathon to stand in front of stove and cook. So steam able veggies and precut fruit are my best friends! But she calls me lazy for not cutting thr fruit myself and judges me from only using steam able veggies and frozen meats.

It went so far as to, she bought an indoor grill for me for my birthday so id "try cooking more".

Some people just cannot physically understand disabilities.

Some people don’t want to hear this but sometimes accessibility is not sustainable or eco-friendly. Disabled people sometimes need straws, or pre-made meals in plastic containers, or single-use items. Just because you can work with your foods in their least processed and packaged form doesn’t mean everyone else can.

Cece, upon arriving, did find Stella sitting on a bench hiding behind a pillar because she was 'embarrassed by how many people saw her'. Yes, this is the kind of anxiety I live with in my life LOL.

Also, because the crutches bruise my arms and my apartment complex doesn't believe in ADA, I have to "butt scoot" up the stairs but my arms get so fatigued so fast.

So we were just sitting at the top of the steps while I tried to catch my breath. But this incredibly nice door dasher tried to come up the stairs too and apologized a million times for interrupting us while I was just trying to figure out how to get off the stair out of his way.

But we made it back home from the pain clinic!!! Woohoo!!! No more going out until Friday!!!!

Stella is currently sitting in the doctor's office a little concerned that Cece has not replied to her texts about picking her up from the doctor's office and is suddenly concerned that she forgot.

Today Will Be Fun

For those of you who don't know, Cece and Domino in Come Home Safe are very directly inspired by a couple of close friends of mine who have been taking care of me a lot the past couple of years. So I'm about 5 days out from surgery and have a pain clinic appointment for something I haven't had surgery for yet. My "how much pain are you currently in" scale might skew them slightly, LOL. But also my schedule doesn't line up with theirs very well at all. So "Domino" has to take me to my appointment and then run to work and then "Cece" has to come pick me up and help me up and down these ridiculous steps. I appreciate them so much <3

i hate when i, a completely healthy person (very chronically ill), get sick (flare up) for no reason at all (i exerted myself way past my limit just cuz i didn’t wanna be “annoying”)
