Troop 6000 is the first in New York City designated solely for homeless girls. 

The new troop is among a number of programs begun by the city to meet the needs of children, who make up nearly 40 percent of the roughly 60,000 people in the city’s primary shelter system. Of 287 people housed at the Sleep Inn, 155 are under 18, according to homeless services.

The Girl Scouts of Greater New York is covering the costs for Troop 6000: a $25 membership fee; a $75 starter kit of patches, pins, workbooks and vests; and the $20 monthly dues. Donations are being accepted.

These girls deserve a better life.They’re amazing and beautiful and they are so kind. They want to grow up and be able to help other homeless people , to build shelters and save lives. These noble thoughts should not drown in poverty and the lack of opportunities for homeless people. We are the community we should help each other and fight for equal rights and opportunities, because unity is the only way to survive.

Can anyone pleaseee grant a poor Central America resident (me) hehe, access to the episode 2 of season 4 SHERLOCK, I would really appreciate it with all my heart. I was trying to watch it on BBCiPlayer and it’s not valid in my country, like sheet stuff here is available like years after everyone has already watched it. Count your blessings european creatures, for real, look at all that privilege. 

I am even willing to pay the bbc for them good shows online, but nahhh they are mean.

I send you virtual brain hugs and good vibes first and foremost! it’s been a while for this blog, like there’s a point in life in which one’s computer usage gets paused for indefinite periods of time, that’s lyf (or the consequence of having too many people in the house and only 1 half functioning computer, which is also a consequence of this wicked world in which fams can’t afford stuff).

Real talk for a second. 2017 isn’t going to magically get better. Not to say that it won’t get better at all, but 2016 isn’t some sentient entity hell-bent on fucking everybody up. The events of 2016 were products of years worth of tension and, more importantly, large scale inaction.

2017 can totally be better, but not if we keep ignoring issues and thinking that “eh someone else will take care of it.” 2017 will be better only if we make it better. And please. Let’s make it better.
