Working for the Knight, I'm 99% sure Kris feels like a commodity. And how could they not? The actual goddamn Prophecy itself refers to them as a fucking "cage," not a person or a hero, just an object to provide a use to something else.

And with Carol's "YOU are welcome here anytime" and the dialogue from the ominous phone call, I don't think anyone in the conspiracy really cares about Kris; they care about the Soul. And what's gonna happen when the usefulness they provide inevitably runs out?

Even if we don't see exactly that in the future, the "you were used up" is a very potent representation of exactly that fear they have. Also it makes me crayzay
