This is not for me. This is for a dear family friend.

My family friend (50) has a daughter (30) with a granddaughter (4). The grandaughter is four years old, severely disabled, tube-fed, is diapered and can not walk, talk or do anything a normal four year old should do. The father divorced the mother and abandoned the family, only giving $100/week. This barely covers diapers, food, medicine, therapy, transportation, etc.

The family friend has been hiding her struggles for a while from me. She told me today that she and her daughter barely eat. They struggle to pay the bills and take care of the disabled four year old girl. I wish I had more to give her. Me and my family are already struggling since I did just quit my waitressing job, I'm full time in school and this stuff is just my side-gig to cover bills and expenses.

More to that struggle - the bank is threatening to take their house away. The cosigner on the loan is also being threatened by the bank, and the cosigner threatened to break (the mother and daughters bones) and light their house on fire. I am so beyond terrified for her. They are immigrants by the way, and have not many legal avenues or ways to receive assistance.

I know this is a lot to ask. I am begging for donations - even $1. I am collecting food my family and friends. I am digging through my closets to find things I can sell. If anyone who is reading this can spare even $1 to send to my cashapp or Googlepay, I can take out a lump sum of cash and give it to her. She just needs a few thousand dollars to get the bank off her back. She already has $6,000 saved and is so close to not being drowned in debt and fear.
