I don’t think we talk enough about the pressure that Mountain must be under. Not only is he responsible, levelheaded, considerate Mountain the rock that always kept the pack together, he’s now the only one left— except for Dew, and Mountain feels deeply responsible for him. The rest of the pack has moved onto other things, but Dew is the constant reminder of what once was. If something were to happen to him, well, Mount would never get past it— he’s know Dew the longest, why didn’t he notice why didn’t he help him why didn’t he stop him?
