Hi this is the main account for @yourgildedcage I'm featuring the recruiters in a special Halloween fic and want to make a last minute ask about the Recruiters personalities. (I'm aware I can search around Tumblr but I like having multiple sources)

If all the main recruiters are too much I can settle for Apple Poison, Malfie and Jack Heart.

Hi there, I'm always happy to be a source of info for the Recruiters! You've probably seen it but I do have a intro post on each Recruiter here if that's helpful at all: link

I'm not sure what info you'd like exactly so I'll do a basic summary of their personalities. Hope it helps!

Apple Poison: The stoic, tall, dark and handsome "uncle" of the Recruiters. He's professional and takes his job seriously, when he goofs off it doesn't seem to be on purpose but he's just funny like that.

Jack Heart: The natural "Entertainer" Jack is very bouncy and acts like he's always in the spotlight. He has young, playful energy but can be a bit of a brat, such as when he picks fights with Apple or is dismissive of other's Masters.

Mr Dalmetia (Daru): He is the personification of a puppy so naturally he is bratty and full of energy. He will pick fights by teasing others and he gets along really well with Jack. He does not hide his emotions and will jump on you if he's happy and bark at you if he's not.

Malfie: The Narcissist of the group, nothing matters more to Malfie than his own appearance and telling others how beautiful he is. Overall he gets along with everyone, he's not as outspoken as say Jack or Daru but will eagerly participate in conversation

Eight-foot Joe: He's just a tired guy here to do his job. He performs at the bare minimum of what is required of him but seems to genuinely care for the other Recruiters who have become his family. He is mostly dismissive or reluctant to participate in antics but can be seen chatting away in the background.

Lady Pirate Hock: She is very serious and takes on the role of a big sister to the other ladies- she is authoritative and can often be seen flirting with Veil and Farja. She takes her job seriously and clearly holds great pride in being a pirate in Captain Hook's crew.

Veil: She can seem a little air headed but she clearly takes her job seriously. She is devoted to her master and her roots, with the motif of the bell of Notre Dame, she sings most of her feelings and has an amazing voice. She is often picked on by the men because she's less likely to snap back at them.

Pretty Scar: She's energetic and loud but also very "cutesy" which is seem as a bad image for a villain. She's the type that would say "UwU" unironically and ask you isn't she "so pweety and cyute". She is madly in love with Daru and clings to him any chance she gets and while she doesn't seem to get along very well with any of the others, she holds pride in herself.

Farja: The other louder member of the ladies group, Farja is obnoxious and the brattiest of the women. She will straight up ask for praise and get mad if you don't give it to her, she could be considered selfish but gets along with the others well enough. Farja loves magic tricks and teasing others.

Ms Hades: She's the more standoffish, 'cool' one of the ladies. She is here to do her job and that's about it. She will have quiet conversations with the others but usually keeps to herself. She is professional and graceful but is the type that gets giddy and excited at mentions of her master.

May I please ask for the reactions of Malfie, Apple Poison, Ms. Hades, Joe and Farja reactions to their au selves.

Malachite, Cece, Vince, Nadia, Joe

Ooh such interesting characters! I'll do my best to answer, please bare in mind this is from my own takes on the Recruiters and of course are in no way "canon". Feel free to take or leave whatever details you prefer!

(Edit, sorry, forgot Joe!)

Maflie and Malachite: Malfie is always excited to meet any other version of himself, the only ones he could ever consider as beautiful as himself would be other versions of himself. They'd both hit it off quickly, friendly enough and of course sharing a special bond. I think they'd enjoy conversations about books together, relaxing together and just each other's company in general. Malfie is a little more quiet about who is dear to him but I think he would admire how Malachite loves openly.

Ms. Hades and Cece: Ms. Hades might start out as standoffish because she is weary of someone so similar to her. But after being able to get to know each other, they might enjoy sneaky little sessions of gossiping about their family (blood or found family both).

Ms. Hades isn't too well versed in video games but I think if Cece were to introduce them to her, they would make a good team and have a lot of fun together.

Apple and Vince: I see them just sitting next to each other and you think they're both antisocial but really it's just that they're comfortable in the silence. They don't need to speak much to know they can be relaxed around each other- this might make it hard to get close to them though.

If you put them in a kitchen I think you'd be surprised how well they'd suddenly get along. It sounds like they have similar tastes and would actually quite like cooking for everyone.

Farja and Nadia: Birds of a feather, that's the expression right? I imagine these two would become loud and fun from the get go. They'd want to party together all the time and show off their style and beautiful hair to anyone and everyone that will listen- and likely those that won't as well.

I think the two would be a lot of fun, maybe to the disdain of some of the others haha! They'd probably go out together all the time, going to eat yummy foods, shopping for clothes, getting their hair done, etc!

Eightfoot and Joe: These two may get along the least, but not because they don't like each other, they're both just quite dedicated to their work. I think they'd moan and groan at each other, Eightfoot would probably just pity Joe as another slave to his work- even though they are in the same boat.

They will get along well enough when they have to, and I think they silently like each other's company but ultimately are too set in their own ways to be too buddy-buddy.

I saw an article speculating that there'll be no recruiters this year... is that true...?

Yes, unfortunately the Halloween events for this year have been announced and the parade at Land will return to "Spooky Boo!" for the first time in three years, but this does mean we won't be getting Villains Rockin' Halloween.

The return of the Recruiters last year was a surprise but I do think it was a stand in while Japan still enforced certain measures of social distancing for their performers. Now that parades at back at full capacity, the parade will go back to Spooky Boo. (The Recruiters rode the Spooky Boo floats last year)

Unrelated but I’m always so excited to receive asks and notes on this blog. While I’m afraid I’ve no active new content to share, I do check in quite often so feel free to drop a message no matter how long it’s been since my last post.

We should receive news as to what the Tokyo Disney Parks have in store for us some time in July. There’s no confirmation that the Recrutiers will return again but fingers crossed!

I've never seen anything with Malfie mentioning Diavel from the Maleficent movies but I have seen fanart of them acting like brothers which is my personal favourite! I haven't seen Joe really talk about Jetsam and Floatsam but he seems to just treat them like workmates while Jack Heart definitely treats the other trump cards as workmates. For characters with more personality such as Iago, I find that the Recruiters see them as pesky rivals or nuisances. I think it ultimately depends on the Disney character haha.

Hi! I was wondering about all the props each villain recruiter has (Malfie's mirror, Joe's umbrella, etc.) and I was wondering if all recruiters have a prop of their own, since I see them holding props in some of the videos i've watched, but I want to ask if you know what prop each recruiter has?

Yes, they all have a special "fashion item"!

In the 2016-2017 shows, the props were given to recruited guests to "complete" their outfits during Ms Villa and MP's fashion checks. Many of the Recruiters have also always had a personal prop that they tote around in both Fashion Check shows and Mr V and Scatter's standard Villains Recruiting shows.

For example, Apple Poison has his own bejewelled apple (left) while recruited guests were given a larger double apple to hold during the show (right)

In 2017, you could even find some of their items as little charms! Looking back, if I'd known I would have fallen this deeply in love with them, I would have bought them all!

(Fans were quick to notice that Daru and Scar's fit together)

Now while many Recruiters had an iconic prop (Apple's poison apple, Malfie's mirror etc), like I said the ones handed to guests during the show were separate ones and many Recruiters actually just had a sort of mask that resembled their Masters.
