I really wish I could have done something more with this alphabet series, but it feels too late at this point. It was just too much to get through the whole thing without a real end goal. I’d been doing it on and off, when I had time, for years so by the time I got close to the end the early ones needed to be redone to match the subtle changes and evolution of my style over time. . . . . . #childrensbookillustration #childrensbooks #artforkids #alphabetart #childrensbookillustrator #childrensbookillustration #patterndesign #patternlicious https://www.instagram.com/p/B3R7NbXncD7/?igshid=1i0s48w73mp1c

I just did this fun little experiment taking a short clip of Daffy Duck and morphing it with some frame by frame animation. This was improvised without any planning, but that might be clear given how ridiculous and nonsensical it is. ⠀

Daily Drawing 3018: Mitch McConnell recently earned the nickname “#MoscowMitch” for single-handedly blocking stronger election security measures after Russia’s interference in 2016. The CIA, the FBI, the DNI, the NSA have all warned that the Russia systematically interfered with our last presidential election. Robert Mueller told Congress Russia is still trying to interfere with US Elections “As We Sit Here”. Moscow Mitch has refused to even put up bipartisan bills for a vote. The president is so insecure that he won’t even acknowledge Russian interference because it brings into question his legitimacy (especially since he received over 3 million less votes than HRC). McConnell is usually impervious to criticism, but this nickname has been getting to him

Here’s some more process shots of the mural I painted in Boston for LIFEWTR as a part of their program to build awareness for the need for more art education! I’m forever grateful to my high school art teacher for helping me realize that my work had merit and was worth pursuing. Up until high school I was sure that I was going to have a career in visual arts. That started to change when I started to realize that some of my classmates were able to draw more realistically than I was able to. At the time, I thought that meant I wasn’t “good enough” to continue on. My teacher helped me realize that realism wasn’t better, just a different thing. She explained that what I was doing was unique and had energy. She showed me different examples and artists and encouraged me to push on. It’s hard for me to imagine not being an illustrator at this point, I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else. (I’d thank my teacher by name, but I know she got married shortly after I graduated and I don’t know her new name. I went to Morgan High School in Clinton, CT. I’m not even sure if she’s still there.)

Daily Drawing 3014: “Problematic is an understatement, in terms of giving some hope or boost to what is and should be illegal activity,” Mueller said in testimony to the House Intelligence Committee when asked about Trump’s declarations of “love” for stolen Russian material in the final days of the 2016 election.⠀

Daily Drawing 3013:
Right at the start of yesterday’s hearings, Judiciary Committee Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler, put to rest Trumps refrain of “total and complete exoneration”.
NADLER: The president has repeatedly claimed your report found there was no obstruction and completely and totally exonerated him. That is not what your report said, is it?
MUELLER: Correct, not what the report said.
NADLER: You wrote, “If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are not able to reach that judgment.” Does that say there was no obstruction?
MUELLER: No.

Daily Drawing 2949: a letter surfaced this evening to Attorney General William P. Barr from special council Mueller stating that Barr’s report describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump did not capture “the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work.⠀

Daily Drawing 2940: The #MuellerReport showed that Trump, after refusing to be interviewed by the special council, agreed to answer specific questions in writing. He responded with ‘I don’t remember,’ 27 times. This is what 27 IDK’s looks like. ⠀
