I cant stop laughing over the deleted elevator scene from pacific rim. Ive seen gifs but i always assumed when he told hermann to stop saluting and turns around to say “what a jerk that guy was” through the closing door he was making fun of hermann but no. He was making fun of Raleigh to hermann

god I'm so fucking upset by that reddit post showing that Dennis will go on dates with Women in s15.... like I know Tumblr sunny is far from being the main target audience and the interpretation of the show on here is Very Different from reality but the confirmation that rcg definitely thinks of Dennis as straight takes out SO much from the character and it makes me so sad

im sceptical about all the leaked iasip stuff, mostly because the episode titles feel a little bit off and also because tumblr destroyed my ability to believe anything fandom-related without a source to back it up. like once you've seen a deepfaked italian supernatural dub with lines ripped from the italian office that tricked people into thinking destiel was canon for the third (fourth?) time you can never trust anything again

i like that they felt it was necessary to let us know that the kaiju brain is a girl, incase anyone got any funny ideas. next movie go slap some eyelashes and boobs on that hoe to really get the message across

actually nevermind! i thought about it and the heterobaiting does hit ngl. also the appearance of a happy het relationship that ends up being an alien sucking his life dry could say a lot abt him being trapped in this heteronormative persona and not just literally in an alien hellscape. and the way no one questioned it bc it was ‘normal’ reminds me of ppl congratulating you for losing weight even if u lost it bc you were sick...dude and they probably did give him kudos for losing weight! they were probably like looks like the missus is keeping you fit! and the aliens laughed bc how ironic. and everyone telling him how happy they are that he grew out of that weird phase and became a serious adult....the aliens are like aren’t you thankful we made you normal? no one liked you before...and he is beginning to believe it, that it must have been good for him after all and no one wants him back so why bother fighting them! imagine if you were kidnapped and you fought for months trying to get to a phone to call for help and everyone was like nah we don’t want you back, it’s actually better with you gone! all of the work that he did to accept himself in the past going to waste bc turns out he really was annoying and too much and abnormal and maybe if he’d kept his head down and acted right he would have never gotten into this situation. and hermann probably didn’t like him for real bc he’s not helping him either! it’s like the existential and psychological horror of being possessed and trapped in a limbo for 10 years combined with the horror of not being wanted and the projection of an acceptable version of you that ends up being more successful. the stepford wife-ication of newt geiszler that is all
