Welcome to my yearly roundup. 2019. Things have grown exponentially since I started documenting in 2016. The last year has been a wild journey. I kept busy by singing in two choirs (Musarc and Cafe Oto Experimental choir) recording and playing live solo and with United Bible Studies, and by contributing to the Year In The Country releases again. I revived my first music project, Phonofiction, and recorded with my partner Zosia.

Music has been such a conduit, it’s introduced me to so many cool people and new friends, it’s allowed me to experience transcendent moments and to create. I feel lucky. Thanks to everyone along the way.

Also, the musical community has been a great open minded place of light in these times of darkening, may it continue.

The Cabinet of Curiosities No.15 mix { with Mark Offord }

A new beginning and a return for the Cabinet of Curiosities mix.

For this, the first one in a new batch, I have collaborated with Mark Offord { Graphic Designer extraordinaire (Firebrand), bassist (The Owl Service, United Bible Studies), esoteric adventurer (Spill festival, I Made Some Low Enquiries, Suffolk death walks) and an all-round gent }. I originally did a versus mix with him for No.10 under his Garden DJs moniker. We also co-designed the collage image.

This mix explores a transcendent palette of electronics, jazz, folk, ambient and out-there sounds. Featuring: Emeralds, Keith Fullerton Whitman, Bob Stewart, Meredith Monk, John Surman, Richard Horowitz, Pharoah Sanders, Jone Takamäki Trio, Soft Machine, Barre Phillips, The Dead Rat Orchestra, The Gurdjieff Folk Instruments Orchestra, Miyeon & Park Je Chun and Joan Jonas.
