Chloe Sevigny check in to ‘AHS Hotel’

American Horror Story: Hotel has a new occupant. Chloe Sevigny is returning to the AHS fold after a brief -- and horrificly tragic -- appearance in season two's Asylum. Sevigny is joining Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Wes Bently for the fifth season.

Connie Britton, who recently expressed interest in returning to AHS if her Nashville schedule allowed, has been cast in Ryan Murphy's other FX anthology drama American Crim Story: The People vs O.J. Simpson. Britton will play Faye Resnick, friend of Nicole Brown who was staying in Brown's condo a few days before the murders. Britton's regular gig, Nashville, has not received a fourth season renewal as of yet and is said to be on the bubble.

Fox has confirmed that after nearly a year of talks, the network and Chris Carter have come to an agreement to produce a new six-episode The X-Files event series with original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles of Mulder and Scully! Rumor has it that Mitch Pillegi has been extended an invitation to return, but it is not known at this time if we'll see any other familiar faces. Production is slated to begin this summer.

‘Sleepy Hollow’ renewed

Sleepy Hollow fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Fox has picked up the supernatural series for a third 18-episode season with The Glades creator Clifton Campbell as the new showrunner. Fox TV chairman Dana Walden says they hope to get back to the more episodic and fun aspect of the show, which got a little too serialized and melodramatic in its second season. Sleepy Hollow joins Gotham, Empire and Brooklyn Nine-Nine as early renewals at the network.
