I just realized the parallels between Johanna’s invention, the giant skeleton, and Emmrich’s creation, Manfred (more or less).

On one side, we have a powerful ginormous thing, made with big ass bones (which, by the way, I would love to know where the fuck she got them). Powered up by Maker knows how many poor, robbed and slaved souls. And yet, it's nothing but a puppet for Johanna’s desires, a simple reflection of her ego and ambition, only made for destruction and annihilation.

On the other hand, we have Manfred, a small skeleton, moved by only one curiosity wisp. However, he has been nurtured and cared for by Emmrich, who has always been hopeful and proud of Manfred's accomplishments, knowing full well that he's more than a simple wisp, that he's more than what people give him credit for. Manfred it's his own being, with hopes, desires, will and thoughts, and he proves it when he sacrifices himself in the fight against Johanna.

The small defeats the giant, not because of strength or intellect, but because kindness, love and courage are powerful weapons against blind ambition, hatred and rancor.

5 Things I Like About Me

1. My sense of humour

I like taking things with optimism and humour, even if the situation seems dire. There are often times I see things in a very dark light, when I think there is no hope left. And still then... I'll probably crack a joke to lighten up things. Sometimes I do it in the wrong moment as a defense mechanism, and it may bother some people some time, but it makes me happy when I accomplish to make others smile.

2. My principles

They are not the best, they aren't superior to the principles of other. They are just mine, born from experience and introspection, and for me is enough. They are based in respecting human rights, which I still think there is much to learn.

3. My hands

They are long and thin, and I like decorating them with long painted nails, rings and bracelets.

4. My lashes

They are naturally long, so... I save money in mascara lol.

5. My creativity too

I like to try new things that allow me to create. I like writing, playing instruments, building gundams, etc. Just, anything that allows me to express myself.

Clothing

What’s your OC’s go-to aesthetic for a ball? Is it consistent or varied? What’s their goal behind this? are they just trying to fit in, to distract, to mislead?

Ophelia is usually consistent in the way she dresses for a ball, following the fashion of Nevarra and the Necropolis specifically. Most of the time she just wants to fit in, go unpercieved except for specific people. What she doesn't understand is that her style is not that extended outside the Necropolis, less in the rest of Thedas. Her decision to wear dark colours is often seen with an arched eyebrow in other nations, during the parties organised in her honor after defeating the gods.

Location

Where are you most likely to find your OC during a ball? Balcony? Bar? Spying behind privacy screens?

She's always found near where the drink and food is located, observing couples dancing and swaying with the music. Sometimes, when it becomes to much, she will probably walk away to the balcony.

Dancing

What’s their opinion on dancing? Do they have a favorite type of dance?

She likes dancing, only that it has to be with the proper partner, like Emmrich. If not, she will like it less, but doesn't hate it. Ophelia often prefers slow dancing as it allows for more intimacy, but if you catch her a little bit drunk, she will join any rapid dance in group as she laughs and enjoys herself.

This was pretty fun, I love playing dolls with Ophelia, dressing her in different outfits and imagining her in a ball lol. I tag anyone who sees this and would like to do it with their OC!! I recommend it, is very entertaining.

Everyone is so serious and stoic, then tensely sneaking around... while Manfred just rattles his bones along to the best of his abilities.

Bonus video: Manfred being a helpful little egg during the fight against the Venatori. The startled tiny "ah!" one of them lets out when Manfred jumps onto him is priceless.
