Tbh? I don't like Paul. I don't want Paul. I understand that Paul serves an important narrative function and that Paul is the best possible ending for Camilla and Palamedes given their situation, personalities, and relationship. However what I really want is for Camilla and Palamedes to attend the ATN wedding as two individual humans and for Pal to be a lightweight who loses his tie in the garden fountain after three drinks and for Camilla to do exactly one shot with the group, keep Gideon from ripping the sleeves off her dress shirt, and absolutely kill it at lawn games during cocktail hour. Since this scenario is a wild tonal mismatch for the series and also Palamedes was already dead, this was unlikely to ever happen. However Paul is the final nail in the coffin for the theoretical existence of this scene and I can't help but resent them for that

Last night I dreamed someone magically took away my ability to speak so I signed 'I know sign, bitch' and then they magically took away my ability to do that too so I flipped them off.

I can't speak to either personally but I felt like Mark's fatness and eating disorder were handled with surprising nuance? Yes, his weight is a result of his body/metabolism mismatch AND it's him seeking some control over his life AND it's a source of self-loathing AND it's an attempt at self-protection AND it's the result of torture AND it's his best way to assert his own identity. Quinn who hates him and views him the most as a bad trade for Miles is disgusted by it; Cordelia who's determined to see him as his own person understands the rationale and supports him immediately. I like that in the end when he's starting to recover, Mark is still much heavier than Miles and perfectly satisfied staying that way. It's the same as everything else about his existence - maybe it was done to him, maybe other people find it abhorrent, but he's making it his.
