we need the ability to appreciate jeno for more than his looks. in very subtle ways jeno has told us on more than one occasion that he is not confident with his looks. (ie, on weekly idol most recently, doni saying jeno must know how cute he is, but jeno shyly shakes his head no, or when jaemin said to jeno during the moving studio vlive, you’re so handsome and jeno says he doesn’t like his photo taken since young). naturally, an idol practically lives in front of the camera, so it’s normal jeno is comfortable under the camera, however ever since he was young jeno has been exposed to the camera. he expressed to [mostly] jaemin that because he had his photo taken a lot when he was younger he doesn’t like taking photos of himself now. however, jeno LOVES to take photos of everyone and everything but himself. but for him being behind the camera is a whole different exprience than being in front. simply from lacking a lot of confidence with his looks, jeno prefers taking photos of others and not himself. on top of him being insecure overall about his looks, it’s very obvious he worries that he is only a pretty face. it’s rare that jeno truly gets acknowledged as a dancer (especially one of the best) in nct, and as a rapper. and to most extent he codons himself to only being a boring personality with a pretty face. however jeno has SO much depth in himself that he rarely gets to exhibit. perhaps maybe that’s the reason why jeno loves being behind the camera, to be himself that the camera can’t truly capture if he was in front of it. jeno excells in more than just looks, his ability to dance is so powerful, it’s full of enerfh and he’s always giving 110%, and while he may not be the best rapper or singer, he’s getting there. so let’s acknowledge jeno properly. for more than just a pretty face and boring personality. but a person with depth and beauty that not only meets the eyes, but beauty that hides in his soul.
