Currently reading a book about a woman that is reunited with an old flame and it rekindles the spark they’ve always felt. Some of the chapters really take me back to the man that made me feel the brightest spark. “Painted all my nights a color I’ve searched for since”
Specifically this chapter about giving special jobs
I miss watching him come undone for me. It gave me such a rush of power and lust. Knowing every move, stroke, and look that would make him ravenous for me. Made him keep coming back to me, and me back to him. No matter how many times we couldn’t make the emotional part work of our relationship… we knew how to pleasure one another.
I wonder sometimes if I look at our past with rose colored lenses. Only remembering the highlight reel.
Sometimes I wonder if the flame will ever rekindle.
Anyway. The book is called The Plight before Christmas.
