Guessing what the case is about is too much work. I am used to mystery at one end of my cases. Both ends is too much work. So cases that have to be guessed first are out of the question. Just tell me what the case is about, and I can work on it. If you want the case to stay mysterious, then it will not be solved. Simple as that.

Chemistry with a professor who talk to us as if we know everything about chemistry already is so frustrating and hard 😖😖

Sadly academics and specialists in their field often do not realise that not everyone knows as much about their area of choice as they do. They are so well acquainted with their area of interest that it seems like common knowledge to them, when in reality it is often very specific knowledge that the general population does not share. That's why it's important when someone wants to teach other people to get to their level of understanding and teach from there, not from their own perspective of understanding. But sometimes people do not understand even when you try to simplify something, and then I do understand when someone gets frustrated. Both sides can be frustrating basically.

What used to be called wizardry, magic or alchemy is now known as chemistry. Eldritch beings do exist, just that they are toxic substances that can destroy you and drive you mad by just a single touch or inhale.

If you think inorganic mercury is scary and perilious, you do not want to know about organic mercury compounds. They are much more lipophilic and absorb through the skin like dimethylmercury. Just a single drop on your skin, even through latex gloves, will make you slowly wither away with neurodegeneration that cannot be stopped. Like a curse just by a single touch. It's no surprise that our ancestors believed in magic and curses when they could not explain it yet.
