Another fantasy trope story:

A story where a prominent prophesy very clearly states that this specific important thing Must Be Done by the firstborn of one specific guy. So three young heroes head out to fix this: This Guy's official firstborn heir, his bastard he didn't even know about before getting married, and his unofficially adopted orphan kid who just started living with him at some point, who is the oldest of the three so technically speaking is still the one who was born first. And all three must go because while the meaning of the prophesy itself is very clear, it's an utter mystery to everyone which one of them counts as their father's firstborn.

Hypothetical: time travel is real, but you only get to use it ONCE (one round trip to the past and then back to the present), purely to observe– you can't change anything, and you won't catch a disease or get injured by animals/natural disasters/etc. You can stay as long as you want, but will still die within your expected (modern) life span (i.e. no "Observing all of human history only counts as one use! 🤓" and so on).

My least favourite phenomenon is when a story leaves a lot of details upto interpretation and some people decide to interpret one character with the utmost grace and another with almost biblical hatred, then decide any other interpretation is invalid.

Very few people are truly irredeemable, and these characters are far from the worst people in fiction.

There's a pattern! If you notice the comment says literally nothing specific about the fic itself, it's a bot comment. It's like the astrology of dumbass bots, they keep it vague so that they can slap it on any fic.
