Michelle's Boomboxes Repo'd to Dance-Off Mat Plus Recolors

I previously repo'd the small boombox to the bigger one but I recently learned @hugelunatic had made a CEP for the Dance-Off Break Dancer Mat that made it recolorable with subsets. These versions of the boomboxes are repo'd to the Apartment Life dance-off mat and I also turned Michelle's recolors into recolors for the dance mat boombox. HugeLunatic's CEP is required, the boomboxes have the same guids and filenames as Michelle's originals so you can let these override the original files

Yes but you still have to go into CAS and create the family, these just add their likeness to the Choose Existing Sim section (the button next to the dice) so you still have to type in their names and added aspirations and stuff

Or you could make a throw-away hood, add the cleaned subhood versions of each hood to it, then move the families you want (house and all) to the bin and place them in the hood you plan to play in. Everything I've found says it's safe to place those in another hood

Is there a place to find cleaned up versions of individual pre-made or binned families? Like, if for instance I wanted to make a neighborhood with one pre-made family from each neighborhood, but only one, is there a way to do this?

How To Edit the Secret Hobby Lots in The Sims 2

I wasn’t actually going to make this, but MATY keeps going down when I need to direct someone to the original tutorial, so here’s another one as a backup.

Do you harbor a burning hatred of EAxis architecture? Have Apartment Life and like your lots to have ceilings? Want to add some objects from other EPs or cool CC to a hobby lot? Wish the hobby lots matched your neighborhood’s ~*~aesthetic~*~? Then this tutorial is for you!

Disclaimer: I copied 97% of this information from several posters on this thread at MATY. Without them we would all be sitting here looking sadly at our vanilla hobby lots.

Sims99Fanatic Adirondack Study/Dining Add-Ons Fixed

These were originally repo'd to the Adirondack end table and weren't even picking up the Maxis colors, the only option was the brown color. They're now repo'd to the Basegame Adirondack living chair and will pick up any recolors you have for that. Works with @hugelunatic's CEP extra that repo's the Adirondack set to the living chair

Started to describe this house I'm building as "three bedrooms and a study" because I didn't consider the study big enough to be a bedroom, then thought that was kind of a funny distinction when two of the "bedrooms" were so tiny and narrow they were only two tiles bigger than the "study" so now I'm curious:

Smaller Add-ons for the Freetime Butterfly Wall Crawller

3 wall stickers and 3 rugs. I cloned 4t2 converted meshes by @nuttydazesublime, @lordcrumps, @lafeeverte-sims, and @platinumaspiration, repo'd them to the Freetime wall sticker and gave them new guids so they wont conflict with the originals. The wall sticker on the left is the Freetime one for comparison

LeeFish's 1 Tile Magazine Rack Repo'd to BB's Niche

This works like the community lot magazine rack but it's nice and small. I cloned @deedee-sims edited version that works in Sim owned businesses and gave it new guids so it wont conflict with the original. The magazines are a custom subset that can be recolored, I couldn't repo them to the Basegame rack because they're mapped differently and I don't know how to remap things

shallow water fake pool tile

so, yeah... decorative pools that don't look like an entry into the abyss!

the mesh consists of two planes: floor tile and water tint. the water tint plane is above maxis water level; any higher and it would probably look unnatural, any lower and it would intersect with waves and lose color in places of intersection. the water texture isn't seamless all around; you might want to avoid combining darker tint shades with floors for which the rotation matters, because then the mismatch becomes more visible.

normally can only be placed in REAL pools (need moveobjects on for corner placement). ofc you can place it outside of pools as well, but the mesh is below ground level, and it doesn't look that good without real water.

can be placed in round pools, too, but watch out for weird shadows. I have some guesses as to why that might happen, but it doesn't bother me much.

both subsets are recolorable. available swatches are below.
