Why am I even writing this instead of just saying this things to you? Honestly, I do not know the answer myself. I know it’s a pointless battle because no letters can ever fix this broken glass inside me. Not this, not your apology, or the stars’ whispers. But still, I want this letter to be read, even if it’s not you. So to the boy who left, Why? Why did it have to end so soon? There was no sign of it. I woke up that day and you’re not there anymore. Was it because I couldn’t stay physically beside you 24/7? Was it because my efforts weren’t enough….or was it because no matter how hard I try to change myself to become the girl you deserve, I still won’t make it. Because I am not her, your first and greatest love. But whatever your reason for giving up on us, you should have told me. It’ll hurt my feelings big time, but it’ll also give me the chance to prepare myself to the storm that is coming. You were being too selfish and self-absorbed that even that little chance that could lessen my pain, you took it all away. Dear, I am not writing this because I resent you for breaking my heart. I am writing this because I am deeply disappointed in you. You didn’t trust me enough that I would understand. If only you’ve told me that there was something bothering you, maybe I could’ve helped you, maybe we could’ve made the happiness last a little longer, maybe we could’ve survived that phase. But because you didn’t love me enough to let me know, we both have lost in the game. You lost her, and I lost you too.
