You can now nominate Phantom and Rook in the Indie Ink Awards! 🌻✨📚🏳️‍🌈
Tumblr media
You can find the link here, I can't nominate my own book but if I could I would for best cover, narration, mental health rep, and found family.
In other news, I'll be opening ARC signups for Matsdotter and Adrastus on Monday, and pre-orders for signed books and ebooks. I am beyond excited to share this story with all of you, and while I'm Team Thatch and Arlo, there is just really something special about Quentin and Elochian.
Also, they have a cool couples name. Quenochian is so much cooler than Tharlo 🤣

Not a time to linger on that kiss boi. Come on, while it’s still hot. You can cherish him afterwards, he’s not going anywhere.
Nothing to see here , certainly not more statue boyfriend.🧐

I had the chillest Mabon evening with a friend. The weather was prefect & very much lined up with my head canon that these 2, the Holly and Oak King, are on perfectly amicable terms with eachother during the equinoxes. They probably also got fish and chips by the river and talked while the sun set.
I’m not usually this sappy. These links will prove it. Or maybe they won’t. Idk.

Leofric totally has NO idea how he ended up in this situation. None at all. And he’s going to fight his way out of Cosmo’s arms any second now.

Just a reminder, I drew 4 of these boyfriends turning into, and out of, stone. Emmaline has so far shared 2 of them.
Also I love Cosmo. Little shits are a favourite of mine. Little shits paired with the serious, stoic, hard arse is a whole new level of ‘bring it on’.
Also the freckle brush density was set to: yes. (Hope this helps.)
This is nothing. Ignore it.

“I promise,” Alexios swore. “I will help your brothers.”
“I know,” said Auro. One hand remained flesh, and he used it to brush the curls back from Alexios’s forehead.
“When you wake next year, the curse will be broken.”
Cold white marble crept up Auro’s neck like a blush, but bloodless and terrible. “Alexios, I—“
But Alexios never heard what Auro was. The transformation was complete, and Auro’s stony face stared back at him with milky white, unseeing eyes.
Alexios found he did not wish to release Auro’s hand, and he held tight to his marble fingers, until all the heat had fled and only cold stone remained.

Auro believes his fate is just. He spends his days entombed within a marble statue, awakening each year on the first day of spring, and returning to sleep at its end. His life is full of service, and solitude.
And grief.
He has been serving penance for nearly four centuries for his part in the death of his brother, Ozias. Nothing has made him believe that he could, or should, endeavor to change his fate.
That is, until he meets Alexios, a reluctant prince who also suffers under a curse—the weight of royal obligation and a destiny decided by others.
Can Alexios and Auro forge their own destiny? Or will time run out, returning Auro to cold, unfeeling stone forever?

I’ve drawn 4 boyfriends turning to stone before their lovers, for this author, and it was a FASCINATING prompt.
Particularly capturing the emotional tone of the different relationships and characters.
Grumpy, cinnamon bun, mischievous, melancholy, defiant, sad and even one that can only be described as gay panic.
Good times, much stone magic, lotta mixed emotions in the scene, really enjoyed playing with it. Looking forward to seeing what Emmaline does with the concept.

You should see the other guy.
They’re completely unscathed, not so much as a scuff, they didn’t even break a sweat. Theo totally got his arse handed to him with minimal effort.
My links, where u can see me hurt more of my characters and maybe even give me money to do it. (Wow, u should be assumed of urself)

Auro, the God of Spring, turns to stone each year at his season’s end, only awakening the following year at its beginning.
For four hundred years, it has been a dreamless sleep for Auro.
This year, he knows he will dream of Alexios until he can walk the earth again.
