To talk about dandy delilah and arthur

Ok, so , we've seen Qwel say that dandy is morally grey" on the discord, (whats morally grey abt oneshotting people) , but to me....thats....not making any sense

So

Lets look into dandys character of what we know so far eh

Attempts to kill the player if ignored in his shop and mocks them afterward if they survive

And

His twisted file states he caused the Ichor operation—a catastrophic event that led to the downfall of Gardenview

U cannot excuse this with "oopsies" lol

This is all malicious behaviour, not accidental either, he doesn't apologize for trying to kill you, he infact mocks you/threatens you more if you survive

Infact, imo, theres a character that deserves the "morally grey'' title much more than dandy

Listen i cannot take the evil delilah props anymore help, delilahs morality is genuinely best described as morally grey through canon, bcs none of her decisions r rooted in anything other than just pure logic lmao

Delilah created the toons with arthurs designs, but theres no direct evidence that shows she ever mistreated them, infact, most of her responses show concern, even if theyre blunt dawg

Lets also look into her character rq to show u what i mean, we'll break down arthur a bit too and more after that

Lets look a lil at how she responded to Arthur’s concern about the Holiday Toons, she said quote : “That behavior is natural to them… they’ll want to be alone naturally isolating”

(i know the delilah keeps them locked up in a basement art pEAKED after this, but this isnt cruelty imo, its realism, she assumed they'd naturally withdraw and didnt see the need for public interaction until christmas again, this is more of a pragmatic call than anything, She just assumed theyd be fine in solitude, though she did underestimate their emotional needs)

Pushed back on Bassie being the main Toon, citing emotional dependency: “She is dependent, not independent… I’m unsure she could handle the public pressure”

(this isnt evil woman trying to replace cute basket girl, this is cofounder of gardenview making a leadership call lol, and to me it even says that delilah cares for the toons more than arthur does, it sounds like a tough love kind of concern, shes not just flat out saying bassie is stupid lets kill her lol , shes pointing out genuine concerns, and through all of bassies dialogue with other toons shes right even, cocoa IS more independent/confident than bassie)

Never replaced or thought abt replacing a toon—Vee’s replacement was discussed in a transcript where Delilah wasn’t even present (search it on arthurs wiki i aint linking after all this typing lmao)

She’s blunt, yes—but there’s no evidence of malice here like there clearly is with dandy , so idk why she got the evil rep lol

He saw the Toons as assets, not beings, Infact, even though its cold most of the time, Delilah is srsly the only one other than the toon handler's we've seen up till now that shows any kind of concern towards these toons

Oh also, in the wiki in in the 092 radio transcript, even tho its a short detail, toon handlers mention being overworked by Arthur, so safe to say bro was just a fuck it we ball kinda boss with no regard for any of the staff too lol

And lastly since we on wiki topics, the wiki even notes on delilah that she was likely a workaholic who cared deeply for her creations, shown by her constant requests for more referneces from arthur to get the toons right-

-and the fact that Arthur constantly relies on delilahs ability, saying stuff like "you've never failed me before, delilah" in notes scattered around , showing shes got a track of dedication and reliability to her work, girls just evil looking we cant help it lmao

(also shoving it in my face that all her notes r coffee stained so she rlly put blood sweat and tears into this probably lmao)

So yeah, delilah wasnt warm and fuzzy teddy bear core, but shes been shown clearly to have been deeply invested in the project, and cared for her work in a way arthur just didnt

Dandy: said to be morally grey, is actually just definitely evil imo lmao

Delilah: said to be evil, is probably morally grey in reality

Arthur: said to be neutral or nice even, is just negligent imo lmao
