you can get glitter that's made of glass (yikes) or biodegradable material (more $$$), but regular craft or cosmetic glitter is USUALLY plastic.

if you're doing outdoor ritual use something else. even paper confetti is preferable to plastic tinsel or glitter. please don't blithely sprinkle microplastics into the environment for witchcraft purposes.
