For the Kendratello AU:

So, the way the feed works is that it starts with pretty realistic scenarios and ramps the hurtfullness over time up as Donnie gets used and starts to expect the fake abuse coming from his family-

Now, it's pretty clear that he can see and hear the scenarios. But can he physically feel it when a brother in his feed grabs him? (Like Raph does in the artwork u posted about this)

Since pain is all in the mind anyway (I am a scientist so I say this is fact), yes Donnie does feel that pain when the feed tells him he should!

And I will say, Kendra didn’t create the entire thing herself. She lucked into some experimental technology, and has worked to twist it to suit her needs. While she is smart (by normal people’s standards, not Donnie’s) it’s a bit far fetched to think she could make something this innovative without stealing part of the technology from somewhere else first. That’s kinda her thing.

you asked for ppl's thoughts on your kendratello au and as a long-time follower of yours and a rape victim, im pretty disappointed that you think of adding rape to your kendratello au as "fun". obviously you can draw whatever you want and im just a random person, but you and the people in your notes came across as very eager to depict a fictional teenager raping another fictional teenager. ive liked the way you approached abuse in your sep au but this doesnt feel very respectful to victims.

First and foremost, I just want to say, I’m very sorry for the trauma you have been through, and I’m sorry you feel that I’ve let you down. I don’t try to hide the fact that I enjoy dark concepts, and I don’t think that me being excited to dive into a new storyline should speak to my real life morals.

I have my own experiences, and you have yours. I won’t really go into what I’ve gone through, because it’s not really anyone’s gd business. But the way we all process any type of trauma vary greatly.

For me, embracing those dark ideas is how I deal. Throwing fictional characters who are not real, and have no real feelings for me consider, into fucked up situations, is how I cope. If this were to happen to an actual person, I would feel enormous empathy and be appalled at their situation. My reaction and tone would be vastly different.

But Donatello is not real. I can do whatever I want to him, and any other fictional character, and I think that should be fine, as long as I tag everything properly, so that the actual real people, can avoid it if they wish. I will tag anything, and everything that people ask. I will put things under cuts, I will give warnings. To me, that’s where the respect for victims comes in.

I can separate fact from fiction. And that is by no means a diss. Some people really connect to these characters and see themselves in them, and so when they hurt, we hurt. I don’t feel those ties to characters. I just want to explore how they will come out the other side, because I can find control in the who, why, how’s of it all. They are simply a vehicle for me to get my emotions out in a healthy and safe manner. I won’t feel ashamed for the power I find in this.

But if my enjoyment of exerting that control doesn’t sit right with you, and leads you to forming a less than pristine opinion of me, then that’s just our experiences differing again. And that’s fine. You can unfollow me if you feel it would be safer for your mental health, you can block me, or if you’d like to just block the “Kendratello au” tag. I will be including that tag in every single post regarding this AU.

I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

So how dark does the kendratello au get? Like has Donnie been convinced he's in love with Kendra? Is sex being used as a tool to manipulate him?

Idk. How fucked up do y’all want me to make it? In this particular AU, the Kendratello vibes are obviously all kinds of rancid lol. I probably wouldn’t draw anything super, sexually explicit, but we can get to some fun, fucked up places.

Kendra definitely has the ego to implant some form of obsessive worship for her into Donnie’s brain.

If we do go there, it would all be under a cut and tagged properly. I’ll think about it.

It’s a constant feed of his family being awful to him. It starts pretty mild.

Mikey making a joke that’s less funny, and more hurtful.

Splinter telling Donnie to be useful and fix something.

April telling him she’s through with pretending he doesn’t drive her mad.

Leo blaming Donnie for his tech getting in the way.

Raph furious because it’s Donnie’s fault that one of their brothers got hurt.

And it just repeats with different scenarios, all varying in intensity, until Donnie can’t remember who’s said what and is just left with the knowledge that his entire family hates him. So when Kendra finally shows him this, it’s the final nail in the coffin.

I am not sure if you said what’s your opinion on 12 Raph and 03 Raph?

I love them!!! Sean Ashton is my favorite voice for Raph, and he did such a great job toeing that line of the rash, explosive, and vulnerable sides to Raph. 2012 Raph is my fav Raph!

And 2003 Raph is iconic with his little Brooklyn accent that only he has, and always trying to act cool, but really he’s never not watching out for at least one of his brothers to make sure they’re okay!
