The headache that's been going on since a couple days after the middle of a wisdom tooth kinda just shattered outta my head down to the naked gun and into a nerve?

Well that thing is abscessed and probably has been for a WHILE now

Like two months mind you, this has been going on for two months this headache now

The headache that has sent me to the hospital twice now screaming "I WANNA DIE?" because it's down my jaw, neck, shoulder, sinuses, throat, lymph nodes, eye, and the top of my skull but ✨ literally exclusively only on the one side ✨ like there's a dividing wall down the middle of my head?

At this point I am obliged to tell you that we had gone as far as stacking 6 ibuprofen at a time (ibuprofen comes right back up now) on top of the Voltaren, 2 Aleve, and now up to TWO of the emergency tramadol that I reserve for interstitial cystitis flare-ups (#iykyk but if you have to look that up, I'll be able to hear your "OH GAWD JAYEEZUSS FUCK" from here but sound off in the comments anyways because I want a tally 😅). We would also find out that this thing busts through VALIUM if the valium doesn't have an assist with it, as in what happened TECHNICALLY yesterday (it was 3 AM and honestly since this thing hit I haven't been the smartest with numbers) before I eventually went to the ER again on account of literally being in screaming pain, where I'm told I was in bad enough shape OTHER ER PATIENTS were asking wtf was up with them not getting me back there already since it sounded bad. Phones out and everything. (I was under two blankets to try and not explode from overstimulation. The bonus was no one could see me trying to rip my jaw off my head. So if you see a clip from an ER with some poor creature yelping in pain and other patrons demanding "YOOOO WTF" of the desk, hi, it's me, I'm some poor creature it's me)

The one 10 days of amoxicillin didn't touch, and that I am once again on amoxicillin to try to clear it. Ten days on...a lower dose than last time? Sounds dubious but ok. I also received the only thing that has even made a dent in this fucker's pain status: Percocet. It still has to be stacked properly with prescription strength naproxen plus one more from the OTC Aleve or the pain relief level is not optimal, and THAT'S because the nerve that abscess is flirting so hardcore with

is directly connected tothe trigeminal nerve. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

And this shit is infected, so it might be IN there in there. It would explain the...fizzing.

It has become more widely known that jotun men from Norse mythology can give birth and generally people immediately jump to “That has to mean they’re trans men!” but one of the first things we’re told about jotuns is that they’re intersex in a fantastical way where they have both penis and vagina because they are creatures of chaos. Well, some of them.

The first jotun Ymir had both and mated with himself (the text literally say he had both) to create the jotun race. Then there’s King Godmundr who gave birth to nine wolf pups by his wizard werewolf boyfriend, which of course highlights that sometimes jotuns birth animals or monsters, the most famous instance being Angrboða giving birth to Hela, Fenrir and Jörmungandr by Loki.

But it also seems like not all jotun men can give birth naturally, Loki being one of them. Every time he gave birth he had to transform himself into a female form via magic. Most famously he was a mare when he gave birth to Sleipnir, but Odin also tells us Loki has taken the form of a human woman many times so he could sleep with men (and get pregnant) which suggests Loki likes sleeping with men but prefers to do it in the form of a woman (Loki then says Odin has done the same so he has no right to judge). Godmundr for example is called out for “being a man acting like a woman” because he likes to bottom so much but still in his male/intersex form.

And the stories are pretty clear on wether someone is a man, a man transformed into a woman, or a trans person. In one story we’re told Freyr’s house is filled with “men dressed and behaving like women”. Also the fact that Loki use his mother’s name as his last name could mean a million things. Maybe it’s because she was an Æsir goddess so he’d get more respect from the Æsir by taking her name. Maybe his mother was actually his father Fárbauti who gave birth to him. And maybe Loki isn’t intersex because he’s only half jotun.

It’s all just fun speculation but if jotuns were turned into a high fantasy race like elves and dwarves the mythology provides a ton of interesting implications about jotun biology.

Real talk though, knowing how EASY it is to do, learning how to make ramen has always been useful. The Taste of Asia brand's ramen bricks, which come 4 to a box — one block is a reliable meal — are a delicious alternative to having to buy instant ramen or pay through the ear for shipping on a whole crate we've got nowhere to put.

Anyway, here's the last batch.

I stopped to fix the light balance this time since the plant lamps were on and turning things a violent purple. You can actually still see a little bit of the purple if you look in the right place. :D
