I never saw people say stuff like this enough when I was a teenager, so I’m saying it now.
I’m in my mid-thirties and I have never had sex. I’ve thought about it and could have had one or two opportunities if I put in more effort, but I always decided against it because I just wasn’t into it at the time.
I can safely say that I do not feel I have missed out on anything. I was perfectly capable, by myself, of learning about my own body and boundaries without anyone else there to muddy the waters. The immense pressure that was there in my teens/twenties to Have Sex Just Do It is basically gone. I’m vibing. I’ve got my routine by myself in bed that I enjoy, and that’s enough for me.
And in the unlikely event that I ever decide to have sex with someone in the future, I don’t feel at all like I’m lacking some essential Knowledge or Skill that would “make it good” for someone else. I fully expect to ask my partner out loud what they like and to receive an answer clearly communicated and to relax and have fun. And if it’s a disappointing experience, I’m fine with that too. It is what it is.
Sex is just not that big of a deal. I suspected it as a teen, and I’m more sure of it now. It’s fine to have it or not have it. It’s whatever.

The crux of the anti trans movement is a war on bodily autonomy. They don't want you to have any agency over what you look like, how you dress, who you date, whether to have kids, etc.
They want total control over you. Not just trans people. Not just queer people. You. Everyone.
Trans people are just a scapegoat. They want total control over everyone's self expression. They want the right to mold you into their perfect little cog in their dehumanizing machine.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility. Our rights are your rights. Our destruction is your destruction.

There’s no Queer Liberation without Youth Liberation.
Until Youth are able to consent to their own gender affirming care.
Until Youth are freely allowed to leave abusive/anti-Queer parents’ homes.
Until Youth are allowed to freely be Queer.
There’s no Queer Liberation.

You guys realize that people under 18 can own packers, yes? A packer is not a sexual item. It can help an individual feel sexy and more open about expressing their sexuality but in itself it is just a prosthetic. Most of them are made to be soft and limp to represent a flaccid penis. They are used mostly by trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, gnc, etc folks to create the subtle image of a bulge. They help trans people feel like themselves and feel aligned in their body. Or help them pass in situations where they may be wearing clothing that hugs their crotch area. That's it. Some people just use socks or like a sewn piece of fabric. Some have silicone ones or foam molds. Some people just use a baseball cup. If done properly you can't even TELL someone is wearing a packer unless they tell you- or unless they are wearing it wrong and it looks like they've stuffed their pants with a football or it looks like they have a permanent erection lmao. I need you to stop villainizing young trans people for wanting to pack and for talking about packing. They aren't "putting themselves on sexual display on the internet" by talking or asking questions about packing. Holy hell. Let trans people live.

I just had to have this on my blog.
[Image ID: A tweet from @ jon_speaks_ on the 25th of May, 2023. It reads, "I don't think straight people understand that queer people celebrating pride in the US this year are up against a growing crowd hose response is "we will kill you." Pride might be a party to you, or a festival, or whatever, but for queer people it's celebrating life in the face of death." End ID.]

Your Intersex Awareness Day reminders that:
- Micropenis jokes are intersexist and not funny
- Intersex genital mutilation (IGM) is still allowed in nearly every country
- AFAB TransFem, AMAB TransMasc, Cis Trans, and Cis Non-binary are important terms for many Intersex folks
Include Intersex folks in your activism.

while its true that aromanticism is separate from asexuality, we should remember that we are each others closest allies. dont let anyone separate us, the way terfs did to trans people and cis homosexuals. we are different, but we have a common goal; freedom to live as we do

For non-USA-inauguration reasons (/sar) I'm just going to drop this list of anti-carceral mental health supports. (988 and other government-run resources are ultimately connected to the cops. This is a list of resources that will not report you /srs) Obviously, the bigger issues are things like housing, food, discrimination, etc, but if you need a life vest while we're still working on fixing the system, here they are.
