Dear Friends

I want to start off by saying how thankful I am for your support. I’ve been writing fanfiction/headcanons/drabbles for about two years now. While there have been many fun times, I have to be honest with myself and you about why I really did it: to escape from my actual life.

I grew disillusioned with “real people” and “real relationships”, and writing fanfiction seemed to be a way for me to feel some sort of connection without the risk of being deeply hurt or betrayed again. It was a fantasy I could control, and that control soon turned into an addicting habit.

I now know that I have to confront the things that have hurt me/are hurting me in real life rather than running from them. And I apologize if I dragged anyone deeper into their own escapist tendencies - you deserve a life filled with real people who love you, not just an imitation of it. You deserve to be loved.

I don’t know if I’ll ever return to writing fanfiction again, or writing period. But I do know that I need to find healing, and do to that I have to sever the chains of things that have made my unhealthy thinking and habits worse, that have dragged me down deeper into addictions that have prevented me from living my life.

I’m not saying writing fanfiction is bad for everyone: I’ve met many wonderful, kind people while doing it. I just find myself slipping into unhealthy patterns whenever I write/read it.

For now I’m closing requests and logging off so I can find clarity and healing. Until then, I hope and wish the best for you all and apologize for any harm or damage I may have caused. I hope you all find the love and care you’ve been seeking.

So, I have a couple artworks I did for a fic I wrote / am writing. Au where Simon leaves the army to raise his nephew Joseph. In this installment ahaha Soap, who is still in the army, is visiting for the holidays, and so here is Simon and Jo picking up Soap from the airport, and Joseph giving Soap a hug! Both are of little scenes in the first chapter. 😊🧡

This comic is a little different than what I usually do but I worked real hard on it—Maybe I'll make more infographic stuff in the future this ended up being fun. Hope you learned something new :)

If you are still curious and want to learn more about OCD, you can visit the International OCD Foundation's website. I also recommend this amazing TED ED video "Starving The Monster", which was my first introduction to the disorder and this video by John Green about his own experience with OCD.

The IOCDF's website can also help you find support groups, therapy, and has lots of online guides and resources as well if you or a loved one is struggling with the disorder. It is very comprehensive!
