Very weird how some peoples take on hearing that Ochaco has become Deku’s number one cheerleader is somehow linked with misogyny?

Although the meaning of this should be obvious the message behind that is because she has constantly encouraged Deku to do his best and plays a huge role in helping him grow. There is nothing misogynistic about a female character helping a male character.

Izuocha week bonus day 1: Starting Line/Winding Path

The scene where Ochaco confirms her feelings for Deku keep getting misinterpreted a lot but I think what people didn’t understand is that Toga’s presence and how her and Ochaco parallel each other was meant to help Ochaco come to terms with her own feelings instead of suppressing them. Love was a key factor that both girls shared.

The people who are angry that Toga and Ochaco didn’t end up becoming a couple and kept saying that panel of her during the fight was meant to show her “getting over her feelings” ignored the subtext that was set up from past arcs about how Ochaco’s romantic feelings for Deku were relevant to her arc.

How do antis keep saying that Ochaco is not a special person towards Izuku when it has been hinted at as easily as the final arc? Her words here about liking the hero named Deku are even referenced again during the final fight.

Antis argues that Deku has "never viewed Ochaco as special" when the mangaka has hinted at what separates his relationship with her from the other students.
