People who wrote in to Patreon are being told that it's okay for an artist to have adult content in their work, just not on the site. Links are to be "patron only".

It's looking like they want to stay cool with paypal, so they don't want the explicit stuff hosted on their own servers.

Well they said they’re going to enforce that. So does that mean people with porn Patreons are going to have their stuff shut down or censored? I’m not necessarily concerned about it because I don’t post porn on mine, but some of my friends may be affected by it.

It could have been handled better, but I think you're seriously underestimating how hard it is to get any positive LGBT content through on a "kids show". 

We know that on Gravity Falls, Alex Hirsch tried to show a couple of gay old ladies. Disney cut it.  He tried to show the "Love God" wearing a GBLT-positive necklace.  Disney replaced it with a "Boys and girls love one another!" necklace.

Cartoon Network?  Yeah, they gave us two gay couples.  The first one had their scene censored to remove a kiss. Can't let kids see that.  So even when CN was making an effort, they panicked and backtracked.  That's where we're at.  Some progress, but in fits and starts.

And Jeff's a pretty important character, but Clarence is a show with an obvious main character, and it's not Jeff.  "Parents of a secondary character" is a huge step forward, but comparing that to outing THE main character of a show is a bit unfair.

And don't get me wrong, I agree the relationship between Korra and Asami could've been handled better.  I disagree with the assertion that it came out of nowhere (there was Thelma and Louise stuff starting early in season 3), but it certainly could've been handled better.  Bryke just aren't very good with romance, period.  But there are absolutely still roadblocks from censors afraid of the Moral Indignation brigade, and pulling this off for THE main character in a "kids" show is basically unheard of.  I think people are justified in celebrating, even if there was room for improvement.

Wow, this is a whole lot of people with no idea how America's justice system works. Signing a lot of names (including those of non-Americans) on an online petition doesn't get a case changed from "not enough evidence for a trial" to "going to a state's supreme court". That's not how it works. Not at all. Not remotely.

Why are you assuming that Ray ISN'T female? Look at what you linked to. See if anyone at Comcept uses a male pronoun to talk about Ray.  Have a closer look at the final designs.
