She rolled her lips together, nodding at his offer. “Yeah. Okay” she opened the door to the van and slipped into the seat. “How’s the new place?” she asked, focusing on him as she buckled herself in. “Is it the place by the park?”

“Thats the one. I told you I’d get it. I may have to work my ass off but i will get what I want in the end.” He grinned and started to drive. “ So... cigarettes are in the glove compartment. spark me one up and tell me what the fuck is going on.” He said as he turned onto the road. “ What the fuck has been going down?” He asked as he pulled up at a red light. “ Coz you don’t look happy babe.”

Lu offered a slight smile as she walked inside, looking around at his new place with a slight nod, dodging around boxes as she followed him into what she assumed would be the living room area. “I can help you unpack it all if you need it” She pointed out as she crossed her arms over her chest and continued to slowly wander around the space, taking it all in. “Nice place..I’m sure it’ll look even better when everything’s in it’s rightful place” she added with a soft huff of breath while she turned to face him. “Yeah, I’m great” She shrugged as she moved to sit on the couch as well.

“Are you?” He asked. His tone was soft and his eyes were full of worry. “I mean. If things are not good you would tell me right. We made a promise.” He stopped, not wanting to upset her. “Ooh I have something to show you.” He stood up and smiled. “ Cmon.” He ran upstairs and then headed to the room at the back of the apartment. “ As promised... a room for you.” He went to open then door then smiled. “ Actually.... you open it.” He said and then waited for her to open the door and walk in.

She crossed her arms over her chest loosely, looking down at the ground as he asked if she was alright and she shook her head. “No…not really” she admitted with a small shrug, she avoided telling him why for now, it probably wasn’t the best idea to tell the boy who was in love with her about being upset over another guy. Her eyes shifted to the van, noticing the boxes and her brows furrowed. “Are you leaving?” she asked hoping to keep the conversation on him.

“Moving across town. What do you mean not really.” He asked with an arched brow. He walked over to the passenger side of the van and then looked at her. “ Come and see my new place and you can tell me on the way whats going on.” He said and climbed into his van. Danny looked at her with a small smile. “ Come on... I’m gonna need help unpacking.” He grinned trying to lighten the mood.

Since just before the wedding Lu hadn’t been doing so well with coping with all of her emotions and stress, taking the worst route to deal with it all–which now explained her sudden affinity for larger sweaters and her hollowed out looking features. She did her best to hide it all, caking on makeup before work and popping a few of whatever pills she had on hand to tide her over until her shift was done. She hadn’t seen much of anyone outside of her co-workers and the occasional passing of her roommate since the wedding, but she preferred it that way, it meant less explaining. But when she got the text from @dannythechav​ that he’d officially moved into his new place she couldn’t think of a reason not to swing by and at least see it all–kept her from closing herself up in her room for a little while at least 

Pulling her sweater tightly around herself, despite the summer heat, she made her way over to the address he’d given her, knocking at the door and rocking back on her heels to wait for him to answer. 

Danny had just put the couch together and was staring at the IKEA table instructions with a screwdriver behind his ear, when he heard someone knock at his door. He looked through the peephole and smiled as he opened it. “ Hey you.” He said with a smile. “ Come on in to Casa Danny.” He grinned and let her in.” Its a bit of a mess at the moment as everything is still in boxes but i’m getting there.” He explained. “I was up all night packing and then all day today moving. Finally here so I can relax.” He said and flopped down on the couch. “ You ok?”

The Brunette pressed the cigarette to her lips, walking quickly down the sidewalk. She didn’t know if she’d be welcome but the agreement she had to stay away from @dannythechav​ wasn’t on her mind, he’d told her if she ever needed to get away to come there. Things with Scout blew up this morning and she felt lost, she didn’t want to be in her apartment anymore and she didn’t know where she wanted to go so she was breaking the promise, worse case- he told her to fuck off and she was back where she started.

She saw him outside the building, and slowly made her way over. “Danny” she said, the words soft as she couldn’t muster the energy to pretend to be okay. “Hey… are you busy?” she asked, flicking the butt of the cigarette to the ground. “I kinda just…” she swallowed “Don’t want to be alone right now”

Danny had spent all morning packing his loft up to move into a new place. He had managed to secure a van from one of his friends and had crammed everything in and was now taking a breather. Lent against the wall in a blue shirt with rolled sleeves, Danny sipped a glass of lemonade the probation officer had given him. He looked at the place he had called his home for the last year and felt a small pang of fear and sadness. He didn't want to leave but had to move on.  It was then he saw a familiar face. a quick smile flickered across his face. “ You alright Zel?” He asked a worried frown appearing. “ Whats up?”

After years of living in hostels, on couches and then prison and the probation centre, Danny finally got himself a job and a home. He saved up for a place and when he got accepted into the training of the fire service, he put down a deposit on a loft penthouse on the top floor of a Starbucks in downtown Atlanta

Rea grinned at that. “Good, cause I wouldn’t dream of getting married without you there. I expect a dance.” She beamed, her arm moving to rest across his shoulders in something of a hug. “Nothing too over the top, work, Keanu, my siblings possibly coming out here.” Rea shrugged before listening. “I know I’ve said this before, but I’m so proud of you Danny. You’re going to be one killer firefighter. I want a picture with you in your gear as soon as possible.” Her eyes widened in excitement. “No way! Babe that’s awesome, when you’re ready to show it I’d love to see it. I’ll even bring cookies with as a house warming present.” She squeezed his shoulders as she flashed a soft smile at him. “You will, you’re an amazing guy and you deserve the best partner. Course I’ll probably have to screen them first ya know.” Rea winked.

“I’ll walk you down the aisle if you like.” He chuckled. “Thanks princess. It’s weird coz I actually feel like I was meant to do this. Like it was what I was put here to do... sounds stupid huh?” He blushed and wrinkled his nose. “Ok I will post a picture of my uniform and tag you in it when I get it.” He grinned. “ I can imagine you will be vetting all my girlfriends from now on.” He let out a laugh. “ God help the poor girls.”

scowling back at his brother the middle anderson sibling was in disbelief , surprised that danny would even come out with such a comment . “ no , nobody won me over – it’s just some girl that was nice to me , alright ?? you know what i’m like with women and i’m sure she’ll be scared off before long . if you tell anyone about this you’re dead , too , alright ?? “ he warned his brother with a wiggle of one finger , brows raised to show he wasn’t messing around . they may have been blood , but once a trust was broken there was no solving it . “ anderson’s are born to fail , you know it . we were cursed with the blood of our father so we know relationships just ain’t gonna fly , no matter what . “ 

Danny gave a shrug as if to say if you say so. “Who is she?” He asked as he walked along with him. “ yeah well try being in my shoes. Fucking headfuck.  Its like, every single fucking time I show my feelings I get shitted on. So from now on... fuck it. I’m gonna treat them like they treat me. I dunno man, it seems like all I wanna do is settle down and its like the only thing I’m not allowed. Fucking sucks.”

Marco raised an eyebrow at the man when he pretty much propositioned him and chuckled softly. “Is that so? I hate to hurt your feelings, but I don’t play for your team on that one.” He told the other with a smile. “So, you do know who she is right?” He asked, calming down a bit. If he could find her, he was willing to deal with his kid’s asshole behavior. “She’s my daughter.” Marco told him simply. “I have been looking for her for a few days but she doesn’t have the same apartment she had before so, I’m at a loss. I just really need to see her.”

Danny stepped back. “ She said you were dead.” He said narrowing his eyes. “ Whatever the deal is, I’m gonna need to make a phone call before I tell you anything. I am protective over those I care about. And no offense, but you could be lying and be some nut job, so I need to check its ok to tell you anything. I don’t know you. But she’s family.” He said pulling his phone out. “ She’s been through a lot. I ain’t gonna put her through anything else.” He said and looked at him. “ And if you are her old man then you would know I have her best interests at heart” Danny said as he text Mackenzie.

Daniel *ELTON* Henry Anderson. Rock star and Multimillionaire. 3rd August 1949 - 17th May 1990

Daniel Anderson was the last of the Andersons. By the age of three he was living with his grandmother as his mother had run away his father was incarcerated for physical abuse on Danny and his two brothers, who had been taken into care. Danny had a natural aptitude to sing and play the piano. He could write and seemed to have everything to make him a bonda fide star. Looks, charm and could belt a tune. But away from his brothers, he was lost and alone. By the age of ten he was given a sponsorship to a prestigious music school and he excelled at all his classes. At seventeen he met a ice skater called @zlberres and fell helplessly in love, Unfortunately she didn't feel the same and he poured his heartbreak into the songs that he wrote which in the future became best selling hits worldwide. It was by chance a recording executive heard him sing while he was busking in the streets. Within six months he was signed to a record label and became well known.

Danny, who had been rebranded as “Elton” as it was more of a stage name, became one of the most popular singers of the 1970′s, getting a hit every year for ten years. Sell out arenas and more money they he could handle. Danny loved his life. He met an artist called @lu-rossi​ who he married and they went on to have a daughter. But Lu divorced Danny when he became violent after a drink and drugs binge. From there as his career rocketed, his health declined. He had fits on stage and became aggressive and volatile. He believed no woman would ever love him  and finally admitted that he was gay in 1987 but by then he was a heroin and cocaine addict and loved danger in every sense of the word.  Hew would get involved with orgies and cottaging and had been caught engaging in public sex on more than one occasion by the press.

The world came crashing down on 7th September 1989 when Danny was given the news he had AIDS. By now his fame was dwindling, but his money was still in the bank. Rather then fight his illness, he accepted his fate and went home to his brothers @woodyanders and @drxanderson along with Blaze’s partner @eddienotscissorhands Eddie was there when Danny passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of Forty one, due to liver complications from the AIDS virus. His daughter Penny inherited £21 million, her mother Lu  was gifted £12 miliion and the rest  of the £40 million fortune was split between the brothers with £15 million being put aside for an AIDS foundation in Dannys name, which was run by Eddie. Danny may have struggled though life but through death he saved thousands of lives and still does to this day, he has a star on the hollywood walk of fame and is classed as one of the most influential musicians of all time. Even though he felt unloved, he was one of the most loved singers of the century.

the anderson name – it’s worn as a medal of dishonour around these parts , the boy’s not having a particular great reputation along local residents ( and newcomers , rumours spread fast ) . every part of the world has a bottom of the pile , and it’s safe to say that’s exactly where woody belongs . he barely remembers his mother , struggling to picture her face without deep bruises circling the socket of her eye . the woman walked out of there when she could and left her sons to suffer the hits of bobby anderson alone . 

his mother met his father when she was eighteen years old , working the strip-clubs for a few extra bucks in order to get a motel room for the night . for some reason she was charmed by the thief that always reeked of cheap liquor . bobby had what she hadn’t – money – which back then was more than enough reason to settle down and marry somebody . first came blaze , their little cherub , a beacon of hope for the family .. but things soon went downhill when their father’s drinking grew more and more out of control . daniella didn’t necessarily want three children , especially not from booby , but when there’s that much of a power imbalance it’s difficult to say no when you’ve sworn to serve your husband . then came robert anderson jr ( who would come to be known as ‘ woody ‘ in his teenage years ) , and finally daniel who was their last shimmering green-eyed prince . when the boys were still very young their leopard-print decorated mother packed up her bags , still with the apparent bruises all over those wildly pretty features . she left without trace , without goodbye , and in turn the boys struggle to maintain female relationships to this day from a lack of a woman’s touch when they were younger . they were now left in the clutches of their abusive father , growing up in one of kirkwood’s trailer parks and scrambling for morsels of food whenever they could get them . they are unaware of their mother’s whereabouts now , what she’s doing and whether she’s even still alive , but the constant reminder of her is ever present whenever they look in the mirror and notice two emeralds gazing back .

Dinner with the Fam

 It had been a long day training and Danny was finally free,  he had showered and changed into his usual clothes and headed over to Blaze and Eddie’s as they wanted to have dinner with him and give him his birthday gift. Part of him was tired and wanted to call it off, but Eddie was so insistent it had piqued Danny’s curiosity. 

With Blaze being his older sibling,  Danny had a key to the house and unlocked the door and called out “Hey anyone home?” He was greeted with Raine racing up to him. “ Hey princess,” He grinned and picked her up and walked into the kitchen. “ Something smells good, Whats for dinner?” Danny said setting Raine down and looking at Eddie. “ No mushrooms remember. I’m allergic.”

Marco knew that he technically was meant to be dead, but being in Atlanta did feel kind of like he was home again. The three men that were hired by his mother to get rid of him, luckily all were no longer his concern and he didn’t think no one wanted to murder him, at least not yet. However, he was still being careful, trying to find his daughter without asking too many questions and seeing strange. “You wouldn’t happen to know a blonde girl, about this high and very pale?” Marco asked the person that he had seen. He had been told Mackenzie frequented this coffee shop a lot and he really would like to find her before someone else found out he was in town first. “I have a picture, actually.” He said after a few minutes, showing the picture of her in his wallet that he had found online a few days ago.

Danny was heading home from fire training and was exhausted. Still in the process of moving house, He had the joy of getting back to boxes filling each room and not much else. As he turned the corner, he heard an older man speak. “ Nah fella I love brunettes so I’m no use to ya. Unless you fancy some fun at a price. I like an older man.” His shit eating grin on full display till he saw the photo of Mackenzie.  Fiercely protective over his honorary sister, he gazed at the photo. “ I dunno who you are granddad but I ain’t tell you shit until you tell me who you are and why you wanna talk to her.”
