Did everyone just…. forget how to create, all of a sudden? Disney pumping out the fourth remake in a row? Movies are like 70% sequels? Stories in games being just bad if they exist at all? Haven’t had a book get hyped in like half a decade? Are we okay? What’s going on?
In production mode for #midsummerscream and Creative Horror's first livestream! Printing running! Cut machine going! Assistant... checking for quality?
There was a used book sale at my local library and decided I was drag myself off the computer chair to go check it out and get some air.
The walk over was really nice. Here's what I brought home.
Carmilla, I know I read in high school but don't remember it. ^^;;
Everything else I've read and seen except for Lord of The Dead. The author name caught my eye (not because I know the authors work but because of Spider-Man. XD;;; ) and after looking through it I think it's gay vampires so why not.
I ended up walking further out for food but had some time to kill before it opened so popped in Goodwill. Local thrift store chain. Found this Monster High jewelry/make up box for girls. I thought it'd be great to store doll face up supplies. Found this male doll too, so a good score, I say.
And probably my most surprising Goodwill find to date. The first two Japanese issues of the Blue Seed manga. I use to watch the anime by renting the VHS tapes from Hollywood Studios. I loved it and never finished so this was a weird find.
Can't read them but I can make enough sense with the pictures and I'm happy to have them.
Back home now! A quick trip to the library turned into a little bit of an adventure. My wallet hurts a little but I'm happy with my haul.
