A/N: Couldn't stop thinking about this all day for the life of me. Someone probably wrote something like this already but if not I'm glad I'm the first! I know I haven't posted or wrote anything for a long ass time I'm sorry to the lovelies that follow me I'm still here, just preoccupied with life and work. Also sorry if some stuff sounds OC as hell just got the game a week ago so the characterization will be super off.. probably. 👉👈

Girlllll, and I mean literally. The objects LOVE them so so much and feel so cared for they honestly all melt whenever cleaning day comes around. While many are shy they want to meet them face to face so bad.

Pre-Dateviators

Many of the more insecure objects feel a better sense of belonging in the house feeling extra special. 

Out of any owner they've been nothing but the best to all the objects.

They're always so gentle, so caring and considerate making sure every spot on whatever they clean is spotless. They always use the best cleaning supplies available to them. They can't stand an unmade, filthy space. It ruins their productivity and workflow. Having a clean space makes them happy. 

MC has a whole cleaning schedule around cleaning certain places in the house on the fridge. Many objects look forward to those days so much they work their OWN schedules around it.

With the MC being so considerate and gentle. Their hands are like silk and so skilled with cleaning that many of the objects either get so flustered or turned on- They can't help it… It's so intimate. They feel EVERYTHING they do to them.

All the objects in the house know something's up when MC misses a cleaning day. 

MC even apologizes to the objects they clean like they're an actual person if they scrub too hard… Other humans find it strange as fuck, but to the objects of the house? They LOVE their weirdo of a human.

Despite the barrier many objects put effort into making them feel better; like Hector and Johnny adjusting their temperatures to their liking, the bed and couch feel more plush than usual, Lux adjusting the lights so it's less bright, but MC thinks none the wiser…. Until they get their hands on the dateivaters.

After getting the Dateviators 

EVERYONES FREAKING OUT, and honestly some are SO so nervous and giddy to meet them, while some don't really care. (They absolutely do but won't admit it-)

To their surprise instead of freaking out, MC was entirely amazing and eager to meet everyone! Even the more forgotten objects. 

Volt and Eddie went double time cleaning the Breaker Box club, and the day MC first met them they wished they could've met them sooner. 

Many of the more closed off objects of the house slowly fall for their charm and completely FOLD as well.

The MC asking if they do a good job cleaning their object forms and if they hurt them at all, what can they do to prevent it. What cleaning products do they like and dislike?.... LAWD-

So many hold back so hard… like they  want to kiss them SO FUCKING BAD THEY'RE JUST SO FUCKING CUTE-

I think Johnny is very old fashioned when it comes to women. What I mean by that is that his mom is his favorite person. He was taught to be gentleman to everyone but ESPECIALLY women. If he sees a woman doing something he automatically wants to help. “That’s just what ma and pa taught Johnny to do!” If you came out as a trans woman he’d immediately start opening doors for you and helping you. He doesn’t mean it maliciously or think women are weaker he was just always told women deserve to be protected. So he’s protecting them. I don’t think he realizes how it comes across sometimes. And he expects other men to do the same and when they don’t he stares at them confused.

You and Findlay were resting on the sofa, having just finished a series of missions together, the rest was long overdue.

Your hand accidentally brushes against his as you adjust the cushion you were against and Findlay felt this... whirr of emotions rise within him. His cheeks flush and he glances away, trying to focus on the screen before him.

He steals a glance here and there as well, just your presence alone makes him feel hot. When your hand brushes against his again, he doesn't hold back; with the nervousness rising within him, he pulls you against his side.

"Fin-"

"Shut up."

His hand grips your shoulder, eyes casting awkward glances to you. He notices the subtle smile that graces your lips and he can't help but let out an amused huff.

Von acting so confident with his S/O would slip when they start getting intimate as he is quite insecure about himself and how he performs. He’s extremely shy and such a nervous wreck for the first few times it made his trets worse, making him more ashamed he just wanted to hide away and cry. Poor baby… :( 

Couldn’t ‘get it up either’ due to all the fear he had built in him. At the age he’s at also it's sadly common for that to happen often, too. Fella needs a lot of reassurance and time in order to start feeling remotely comfortable to do anything. Like I mentioned back in my relationship headcanons anything having to do with relationship stuff he needs the time to process everything. It can overwhelm him if he doesn’t have that period of processing.

After the said time Von slowly but surely lets his S/O touch him and touches them more, consensually of course. Just telling Von how good he’s doing and needing him riles him up, making him more confident to continue and explore.

Von’s an older man, so he’s not a huge fan of rough and quick sex anymore - he wants it slow and meaningful for himself and his partner. Von doesn’t want his S/O to ever feel like they’re being used and thrown away like he has in the past, but actually deeply loved and cared for and would do most things to please them. 

Would have a hard time telling his S/O what he’d wanted and won’t want. Words would seem to fail him in such an intimate moment his S/O would have to gently encourage him to speak his mind. Is afraid to say no due to his previous experiences… not so great ones I might add - they were only flings he had when he was a young man. Has been made fun of and been told that ‘he ruined the moment’ for saying no and to ‘shut up and lay there’ countless times.

This fella needs extra love, care and special attention. It will take a lot of time and trust before Von is more confident to try more that’s outside his comfort zone he’s very traditional. 

After the initial first few times with his S/O he starts feeling more and more confident about himself and how he pleases his S/O, but still can have performance anxiety once in a while.

Always holds his S/O’s hand at all times, finding great reassurance and comfort from it. Lots of kisses included too, very gentle ones.

Tavish (Demoman) 

The most he’ll do to cheer up his S/O is by making them laugh, giving them love - doing his drunk shenanigans or whatever else to see them smiling again.

Is not sure how to be the greatest support for them, but he’ll try until something works! When it comes to his partner, he never wants to give up.

If his S/O’s into board games (or poker) related he's pulling the whole collection out. 

Gets into super deep, non-stop drunk ramblings about how wonderful his S/O is when they bring up how they've been feeling about themselves lately. Will go far and beyond to prove all their doubts wrong. 

“Duckie, what you are… no I- You're so… Don’t say that… rubbish… ever again. You hear me? You're so beautiful. I wish you could see what I see in ya.” Tavish drunkenly mumbles against his S/O’s lips, giving them sloppy loving kisses all over. 

The man's not a poet or much of a romantic gentleman, but god damn nothing will stop him from expressing his love for his S/O… even if it's not in the most pleasant way.

Misha (Heavy)

Misha is a special kind of man who knows how to use his strengths - in this case physically and mentally. Will hold his S/O close if they desire that type of physical comfort from him. If his S/O would rather talk about it instead he's a very good listener and emotionally more mature than most men. Thank his mother and sisters for that. Will not speak unless his S/O is done talking about whatever's going on.

As emotionally mature as he is and intelligent - he often has trouble figuring out the right words to say at the moment.

When his S/O explains further about how they feel about themselves, Misha scoffs, a displeased rumble coming from his chest.

“Vhat?-” Misha says, surprised. Nothing about what his S/O said was true. He shakes his head, obviously disapproving, bringing his S/O close to him “-Heavy thinks vhat you say is nonsense, my милый. You're vonderful! Don’t say such awful things about self.”

Dell (Engineer)

Dell's used to this sort of thing being the person that most of the team go to for advice. When it comes to his S/O it hurts him seeing them so down and talking so lowly about themselves. What they're simply saying is SO untrue. 

In this situation he’ll take both him and his S/O out to the camping spot near the base, just the two of you. He finds being stuck inside when feeling like that isn't good for his S/O and will make them go outside no matter how much they protest. 

Simple peace and quiet, getting away from their colleagues for the night is his way of relaxing and getting out of his head. He wants to share that with his S/O, too. 

Dell of course brings his guitar with him, playing sweet ol’ songs just for his S/O. Dell hasn’t forgotten about bringing his S/O their favourite snacks and blankets as they cuddle by the fire all night. Dell’s such a sweetie pie and would do anything to get his S/O out of the negative headspace.

“Darlin’, the nonsense you’re simply spewing is untrue. You’re an incredible individual that's been such an asset for this team.” Dell mumbles into his S/O’s hair, the scent of them further relaxing him. He snuggles into them closer, nuzzling his nose into their hair - leaving a kiss.

“Look… me and the fellas don’t say it enough, but you really are somethin’ special. We wouldn’t have won as many matches as we have without you-" Dell pulls away for a moment, grabbing his S/O’s face gently to look up at him, he smiles warmly staring into their eyes so full of love “-And… you simply have captured my heart like no one has darlin’. Remember that. I love you for you and always sweet pea.”
