Just small sketches At first I thought about drawing a pony, and then it went Ninjago, but furry 😆

Smiths like wolves/dogs/coyotes I'm not sure Jay is a ~black-footed cat, and the Walkers are desert cats (margarita statusas) (hehe dessert cats) Nia is 10-15 cm taller than Jay

Lloyd is probably a lizard/other -dragon Zane thought polar bear, bird, deer or someone else Cole bear, primate, horse or XD

While I was drawing Jay I was thinking about that cat from wiki I will have to redraw it

Ninjago Oc Secret Summer 2024!

What is a Secret Summer? - It's basically a Secret Santa (A secret gift giving event) but in Summertime/Not-December instead! - For this event, you'll be secretly assigned someone to draw/write a gift for based around their oc(s) - It's very important that no one knows that you are making them a gift and vice versa, that you don't know who is making you a gift!

Are there any rules?

- Absolutely no N/S/F/W or Suggestive content is permitted for prompts, gifts, or references. This is /not/ an 18+ event.

- No direct contact with the person you're making a gift for; you can communicate through me or someone helping run the event, or ask through anon on tumblr if you can.

- No AI art/writing, Gacha edits, face claims, picrews, or bases will be permitted for oc reference submissions or gifts.

- Oc x Canon and Oc x Oc ships are 100% allowed.

- Fankids, sonas, and self inserts are also allowed; my only rule is that fankids of Lloyd x Canon ships are not permitted.

- Please respect requests regarding holiday or seasonal preferences when making a gift. Don't depict an oc participating in a holiday or seasonal activity that the creator asked not be depicted. - For the art portion, you must draw the character(s) you were assigned and they must be visible (feel free to ask for clarification).

How many ocs can be submitted total? - Three ocs can be submitted but only one is required.

What will I need for sign ups? - Refs or art that show a clear, colored depiction of your oc - OR at least two pieces of writing for said oc (does not need to be a whole fic. Could easily just be a quick blurb showing how they're written as a character) - Basic Information/Fun Facts about your character. This can be background information, relationships, likes/dislikes, age and height, personality, etc. - Suggestions or prompts for your gift giver. Stuff to help get their brain going. - Your blog name (not the name you go by but the url name. Like @/Ninjago-Oc-Appreciation, for example. Make sure it's a tumblr url, and not from any other social media).

What's the General Timeline for this event? - Sign ups will be rolling out April 14th and will remain open until the 21st. Requests can be made for small extensions if needed. - Assignments will be made sometime after the sign up forms close; posting week will begin late June (exact date to be announced with sign ups) - There will be exactly one week designated as a late period at the start of July.

How do I sign up? - In April, I'll post a google document where you can submit your ocs! There will be one for writing and one for art! - Please reach out to me after signing up in some way. This can be through messages, asks, comments, etc. In the past we've had issues with the forms, where they'd "eat' a submission, and I'd like to know when to check to make sure this doesn't happen again.

For the record while ATLA is an excellent show and Zukos redemption arc was perfectly paced, I would kill to have had Zuko join the Gaang at the end of book two, because the first half of book three would have been the funniest thing on the planet. Like. Just picture it. A bunch of unsupervised teenagers travelling undercover through enemy territory, trying to blend in… and the only people who have even been there before are 1. A guy who hasnt been there in a century, and 2. The former crown prince who has literally never spoken to a fire nation citizen who wasnt nobility, military, or one of his servants.

Like. Neither of them have any idea what they’re doing, or how normal fire nation citizens act, but they’re pretty sure the other one is wrong. Rest of the gaang knows even less. No adults. Zuko and Aang getting into a shouting debate over the finer points of fire nation culture is a nightly event. They are both so wrong, and so, so awkward

Post War Teaboat AU servants love Zuko bc he is very chill and not a crazy megalomaniac sandwich but the kitchen staff sort of kind of have a love/hate rship w him bc he knows what he is talking about but at the same time its just not right for a Fire Lord to chill out in the Palace Kitchen to de-stress bc "Things make sense here, water will boil when heated," Like, Sir, please stop serving us tea and snacks this is very weird.

The palace staff love not being threatened or shouted at every other day for petty mistakes, and they love how calm and easy Zuko is to talk to, even as the Fire Lord, but there’s only so many times a chef can walk into the kitchens and find their all-powerful sovereign in a sleep robe making tea and comfort snacks late at night. 

They try and tell him that they’ll do all that for him, no matter what time of day or night it is, but he always waves them off. It’s nice having someone make and bring him things when he’s very busy, sure, but he’s too busy. Retreating back into his familiar tea server persona is calming. It makes him feel less panicked about all the political and moral responsibilities he has on his shoulders. So sometimes he makes tea, and cooks, and chats with the kitchen staff

And it just kind of. Breaks their brains.

Ozai: Why are we putting up with this again?

Kya: Poppy won the spin game, so she gets to choose the float.

Ozai:

Ursa: We're going to be on T.V.

Ozai: Oh yeah.

*Poppy walks in with Hakoda and Bato wearing bee costumes*

Poppy: Ta-dah! Since the float's garden theme, I made the costumes cute little bugs!

Hakoda and Bato: -_-

Ozai, mockingly: Aww you two look adorable!

Hakoda: You do realize that she wants us all to where these.

Ozai, to Poppy: I'll pop your head like a zit.

Poppy: *squeaks*

Hakoda: We better get going.

Bato: The parade is in Little Omashu and this thing goes 4 miles per hour. If we leave now we'll just barely make it.

Hakoda: Alright people! Into the flower!

Hakoda: Oh, here are the keys.

Bumi: Oh no. I can't drive with you kids in there. My liscense is semi-suspended.

Ursa: What happened?

Bumi: Well see, I was driving through Ba Sing Se with these people I met at the circus and-

Hakoda: We'll let Bato drive.

Ursa: Circus people?

Bumi: One woman had an extra finger on her-

Hakoda: Let's not talk about it!

Bato: Well it's not the Secret Tunnel.

Bumi, goes out to investigate: Yes that is indeed a flat tire.

Kya: Do we have a spare?

Hakoda: We don't even have a trunk.

Kya: Hey let's ask those guys for help. HEY YOU!

[Group of rough looking men walk up]

Hakoda: Yeah maybe they... can help us...

Men: *pull out weapons*

Hakoda, grabbing Kya's hand: Get in the flower!!!

Bumi: Right behind you!

Hakoda, calling the police: We're in Bai tunnel. Hello? They hung up!

Bato: Man, nobody's gonna come to this tunnel at night.

Kya: Hey the Painted Lady would!

Ozai: Do you have Painted Lady's number?!

Kya: No...

Ozai: Then how are we gonna call her?!

Kya, disappointed: We're not.

Ozai: I know we're not!!!

Bumi: There's a 24/7 gas station not to far from here. I'll go get help.

Bumi: I was riding with children in a giant flower to the parade parade.

Bumi: Next thing I know, the tire went pppffftttt! Then these thugs roughed up the flower a bit and Kya wanted to call Painted Lady but alas we don't have her number so I escaped to find help and why are you taking out your handcuffs?

Police, arresting him: Get in the car!

Bumi, struggling: No you don't understand! Those children are dressed up like bees! Help! Help me! Freedom!!!

Poppy: Where is Bumi? He should have been back by now.

Ursa, looking at Ozai and Hakoda: Well we have two guys here in this flower. I think they should go for help.

The boys: !!!

Bato: Excuse me?!

Ursa: You're the only one who can drive the float which leaves you two.

Ursa, taunting: Unless you're scared.

Ozai: Of going out dressed like this? Yes!

Hakoda: They'll eat us alive!

Kya: I'll go.

Hakoda: No! Fine, we'll go.

*Goes outside*

Hakoda and Ozai: *standing around trying to look tough*

Ozai: Oh good they're gone. I mean they had better been or else!

Hakoda: Yeah! We can handle-

*Glass shatter*

Hakoda and Ozai: *take off running*

[Returning to the float bruised and battered]

Ozai, banging on the door: It's us! Open up quick!

Ursa, letting them in: What happened?!

Ozai: We got jumped by like 6 guys!

Hakoda: I swear one of them was wearing Bumi's hat!

Poppy: No not the peacock one! That was my favorite.

Hakoda: Where's Kya?!

Bato, pointing to the blankets: She's asleep.

Ozai: How in Agni's name are you asleep during a time like this?! *removes blanket revealing pillows*

Everyone: !!!

*knocks on the door*

Kya: Guys it's Kya. I got help!

Hakoda: Where were you?!

*Sees Painted Lady standing beside her*

Everyone: ???

Kya: Ta-dah!

Painted Lady: Hello! I was on my way back from a comic convention when Kya flagged me down.

Kya, smugly to Ozai: And I got her number.

Ozai: ಠ_ಠ

*after fixing the tire*

Kya: Want to come to the parade parade with us?

Painted Lady: Sure!

Ursa: Alright let's go!

*Drives off in the float*

Bumi, running from the police: Wait!!!

Chasm

There were creatures in the ocean. This, Yue had known all her life. Turtle seals, whale-walruses, koala otters… these were creatures everyone within the tribe was familiar with. Revered them, in a way. They gave her people food, warmth, clothing, tools. Every creature had purpose, and every purpose was thanked. Here, in the harsh, biting cold, their lives depended on it.

But there were other creatures. Stories of humans with fish tails. Translucent fins, scintillating scales, sleek, powerful muscles. They’d fascinated Yue when she was younger, and though there was enough evidence to prove these creatures were out there, most people went a lifetime without catching a glimpse of them.
