We always talk about Barnaby’s snark and sass, but we gotta give some love to the original Sargent: Gavin Troy! I’ve been rewatching the early seasons recently, and my gosh, is this man snarky

That boy is made of bad puns and dumb jokes and spite. Troy has the eyeroll of a mean girl and the humour of your slightly sloshed great-uncle. I love him so much

He's wearing two actually! One on his left ring finger and one on his right pinky. He's clearly wears both in Death In Disguise:

You can actually see both rings in the scene where Barnaby wakes Troy up at the hall, but his hand moves too fast for me to get a good screencap.

One additional note: It's often thought that a discrepancy between the novels and television show is Troy's marriage status (married in the former, single in the latter), but apparently the costuming dept. didn't get the memo as wearing a ring on the left ring finger typically denotes marriage.
