He's wearing two actually! One on his left ring finger and one on his right pinky. He's clearly wears both in Death In Disguise:

You can actually see both rings in the scene where Barnaby wakes Troy up at the hall, but his hand moves too fast for me to get a good screencap.
One additional note: It's often thought that a discrepancy between the novels and television show is Troy's marriage status (married in the former, single in the latter), but apparently the costuming dept. didn't get the memo as wearing a ring on the left ring finger typically denotes marriage.
