Bhai Dooj or Bhaiya Dooj is a Hindu festival; celebrated the pious relationship between a brother and sister. It falls on Shukla Paksha Dwitiya of Kartik month – Tuesday, 29 October 2019. It marks the end of 5 days long Diwali Festival; and celebrated by all women by applying tilak on their brother's forehead and praying for their long life.

Mostly Vikram Samvat calendar starts the year on Shukla Paksha Pratipada during Chaitra month as Gudi Padwa. But Gujarati new year starts on Shukla Paksha Pratipada of Kartik month. Bestu Varas is New Year in Gujarati and Varsha-pratipada or Padwa are other names of the new year in Gujarat.

Navratri colors define nine different colors for 9 forms of Maa Durga. Navratri is one of the auspicious festivities which goes by distinct names in India, which celebrates the triumph of Goddess Durga among Hindus. The nine aesthetic days of Navratri is an autumn festival that reveals nine different colors of revelry and nine exquisite nights of holy veneration to the deity. They are Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.
