Hey folks, real talk.

If you self-promote your stuff on my posts, and I found it out, you will be blocked. I'm not talking about starting a convo with me and sharing your stuff -- which means you want me to see your cool stuff and engage on a convo with me (and with anyone i'm talking with if it is a convo between two or more people already).

I'm talking about simply doing plain promotion on my art/posts without even trying to talk with me. Without trying to start a convo so we can exchange ideas/stuff.

It's RUDE. I'm not posting my art, fanfiction, theories, etc to get someone hijacking or shamelessly plugging their stuff in my comments/reblogs. Please, don't do that.

If I make a post with the purpose of sharing and promoting your stuff, then this is the right place to do self-promotion.

I was upset to find some old posts -- be either my own art, or convo with friends -- having some people doing that. I did not block those people because it's already reblogged/posted around, but please, don't do that.

I swear folks i want to grab all this whole OVA series, pick what was not contradictory to the main lore and then re-write it for my own purposes.

I want to keep the GOOD things I LIKE in it to be part of the Main timeline/lore. Again, I don't believe in a total retcon because this is not how things work, nor that the Kizuna/02TB staff has a vendetta against it.

I'd appreciate if none of you just assume things about me AGAIN. Yes, I had grudges and a love-hate relationship with it thanks to the fanbase but there's things in it i always liked and i'll fight for them. Spent 2018 & 2019 trying to smash all 6 movies into the timeline, didn't work.

Trying the approach friends & pixiv people do. And i'll admit it's 10x more easier and less stressful than my previous approaches for this, and so other material that goes against the first two series' events & lore.

ok yeah, i get it why Maki and Daigo not having friggin AGES or school/uni grades screwed things up to me you see if we consider that those five had their digi-adventure in 1998, as we all can assume (i mean, Adv'99 NEVER specified when that adventure happened besides "there was another group of kids before you guys" and they didn't also mean it as "the first Chosen Children" either) and we deduce Maki and Daigo are 10 years old in 1998 this makes them be born around the same year as Taichi/Yamato/Sora/Meiko/Menoa (the fact MENOA has her age listed in some material AND the movie points out her actual age when she loses Morphomon, and when she got Morpho is what lead you to realize she's around Taichi's age, as Taichi-Yamato's foil in this movie) (the same as the fact Rui is around Daisuke's group age too -- because he's Daisuke/02 Kids' foil in 02TB) therefore them being going to uni and being even Data Bureau agents would make no effin sense?! i suspect you could ignore the "Elementary School" description of those designs and go more with… "they were at least Middle Schoolers, so around 02 Taichi's age" which could make them at least 3-4 years older than Taichi, and could make more sense for Uni and being rookie agents in a govt agency. (not high positions, y'know…) (also would be more acceptable for Daigo be a calligraphy teacher assistant too, he would've been doing a part-time job like Hikari does in 02TB?) (yes, Ni wants them to exist.)

Regarding this post, i've come with another approach which could be like...

Maki & Daigo were indeed around Adv'99 Taichi's age, and the other three were older than them. So they're 10 years old (Possibly 3 years older than Taichi) in 1998,

They're not high ups in the Data Bureau, but they're just part-time recruits at a young age because of their connection to the Digimon. I mean, around 2005 i suppose there would be some small change in the society to deal with around 1,000 Chosen Children in the world...? Like, you can't really hide the fact about the digimon anymore after 2002 and March 2003 events!

It's still a HARD TASK, but i want them to coexist! I want to keep believing Rui is the first (i mean, if he's not the first the entire movie was a big clickbait, don't ya think?!) and more importantly, i don't want to acknowledge Maki and Daigo deaths so please understand what i'm trying to do here orz

ok, dropping this idea here because it's funny (to me and my friend at least)

But i had a very blursed thought regarding Advverse's Holy Beasts and how they used to be partnered with humans once. Ignoring all the inconsistencies and just creating a version where Maki-Daigo's group can fit the lore and timeline nicely (like, retcon their ages, so they're now just 3 or 4 older than Taichi, and had their adventure in 1998 -- just like i believe to have been the year the prev group went to the DW and fought Apocalymon)...

Imagine if the recently evolved Holy Beasts don't know what they should do, they just got promoted as some sort of security squad to protect the Digital World. What if Xuanwumon and Zhuqiaomon were just trying to have funsies and shenanigans to pass time and used Xuanwumon's illusionary ability to switch places?

Ok, the joke went TOO FAR and it messed things up this badly enough to make both Qinglongmon and Baihumon shake their heads and say "You morons, look what you two have done! YOU HAD ONE JOB AND Y E T-- !!!!!!"

Thus the Shift-Phase happened in OG Advverse.

Well...

Not sure how many people are still following this blog, or rather who's still interested on those headcanons + ideas i had in the past...

But Rui's existence goes against ▽ events and i'd like to clarify that i don't think it's a TOTAL RETCON like a ton of people are either celebrating or complaining.

I'd like to give you my own "solution" to keep Maki and Daigo + their group existing in the timeline.

First, the frustrating part about working with ▽ events and them is that there's no information about their respective ages, and we saw them in Uni as well. A friend of mine pointed this out as the biggest problem to use ▽ as it is. You either pick it or 02TB. My research about the said backstory scenes in pt4 led me to discover that... those scenes also are hard to know when they take place.

Not even the ref sheets has a single age or grad to get an approximated age for them, or when those scenes took place. They only state that those two designs are from "Elementary School" and "University" -- but the Elementary grades are not even here!? Unlike the Adv'99 & 02 kids' profiles in their respective series, which listed at least their school grades so you could know they're around their 10s.

But we know the original lore from Adv'99 + 02 -- there were other groups before Taichi & Daisuke's. One of them were depicted in Adv'99 anime and novel -- a group of five kids, and four of them got their partners evolved into the Holy Beasts (according to the Adv'99 novel). This is also used in ▽ pt4, at least. They changed a few details alas, but my point is... Until here it's everything OKAY, right?

The problem starts with the Uni scene and them being Data Bureau agents in 2005. It could mean they're way older than Taichi -- including Rui (who's a leap baby from 1992!) and this would get in conflict with their own Digi-Adventure flashbacks. Many people believed they weren't from the 90s but before the 90s because of that. You could then think they had no relation to the math lore or something, but then the presence of Homeostasis in that cold-opening for pt4 and the digivice model makes things EVEN WORSE to work with.

But like i said, i love both Maki-Daigo and Rui so i want them to co-exist. Hence why i'm believing in a partial retcon in terms of those two's ages. And it's quite recently that we all got more info about the math lore, and more confusing statements in the end...

Anyway, my solution is:

Maki-Daigo's group is indeed the quintet mentioned in Adv'99 & Novels. They were around Adv!Taichi's age when they went to the DW but possibly the other three in the group were either 2 or 3 years older. Maybe they're like the 02 kids, and weren't chosen exactly in the same year? Possibly the oldies were the other 3 who got mons alongside Menoa (she's the same age as Taichi and got her mon in 97), But Daigo and Maki got their mons in 98, alongside other 7 people...? And their Adventure was indeed in 1998.

Daigo's love confession scene has no calendars or anything to point the year he had confessed his love for her, besides being SNOWING outside -- so it's probably Winter. They're said to be Uni students, so my conclusion is...

... That the Data Bureau possibly recruited them around that time, and they're not even in their 30s in ▽? They might be even 19 years old, and only got high roles in the Data Bureau because of their title as Chosen Children and connection with Homeo + Gennai.

They aren't the first ones, but actually they might be the first group of kids who went to the DW instead.

This is my own solution for the problem. Again, I'd prefer to believe in a soft retcon or changes from the events -- in which said events in the timeline weren't presented as it is to us. Therefore i'd prefer to believe my awful people OTP is still alive and they can meet my sad potato someday.

I'd like to simple just retcon their ages from 1998 adventure and make them be 13-14 years old there, so then you could have them be in their twenties when they were recruited by the Data Bureau...

Anyway, i understand when some peeps say they can't make ▽ work with Adv'99/02/Kizuna/02TB as it was presented to the audience, because it's a hard task orz

I'd like to point out that ReArise game had a very suspicious line for Baihumon that was exactly like that, so it's probably a good theory here!

(the other three Holy Beasts in ReArise had the same Perfect/dub-Ultimate featured in ▽ pt4 cold-opening as well, which reinforces that idea imo.)

I dunno where i read this, or heard about it, but the choice of those mon in ▽ pt4 cold opening were from Bandai themselves, so it could mean those potential line choices in ReArise & Digica could've been Bandai rep's original intents. As far as I can remember, ▽ suffered from drastic changes during its run and had to be re-written somewhere in the middle of the series due to running out of budget.

Thinking about the potential evolution lines from Nishijima Daigo's Bearmon and Himekawa Maki's Bakumon, in the flashback in Digimon Adventure Tri. we got to see:

Bearmon, LoaderLeomon and Baihumon, and Bakumon and Megadramon.

Now in the Digimon Card Game Booster Set BT-09 X Record, Nishijima and Himekawa are both featured as Tamer cards, along with their Partner Digimon amongst the set's Digimon cards.

These, while obviously being able to mix and match, usually follow an intended line.

Which leaves us with these potential missing levels in their lines:
