If Sauron had a squeaky toy, would he be defeated by Huan? I don't think so.

My proudest hc for Sauron is that he never blinks and when he looks at someone he moves only his irises never his eye globe nor his head.
When he battles he defies the laws of physics because his bones dont follow anatomic boundaries. He can spin his head 360° like Regan in the Exorcist. He doesn't notice it.
I think it's pretty neat and fun.

I keep hearing people say that AI has “democratized art”, usually from those who also mention they “unfortunately couldn’t go to art school.” But what they seem to really mean is: “I wanted to be good at art immediately, without spending time or effort.”
I dropped out art school, not because it wasn’t valuable, but because I realized I couldn’t commit to the hardwork. That’s what art school is: not a magical portal that gives you “mystery lore” and levels you up, but a structured environment where you grind, experiment, fail, and create under supervision. It’s work. It takes commitment, like anything worth mastering.
So to those celebrating AI as the thing that “finally lets you be good at art”: you’re not becoming good. You’re outsourcing the hard part to a tool trained on the stolen labor of people who did put in the time. If the process of making art was always just frustrating and pointless for you, maybe, creating art isn’t really your thing. Maybe what you wanted was a shortcut to the aesthetic, not the practice.
There’s no shame in admiring art without making it. But style generation is not skill development. AI didn’t democratize art, it just gave people a way to bypass the one thing that’s always been necessary: doing the work.

Just because Celebrimbor is said to have a character better than his father and grandfather doesn't mean he was weak or dumb. It somewhat diminishes his character, to be honest. He consistently demonstrates immense strength of will, not only in how he navigates relationships with his family and friends but in his own decisions. Galadriel trusts him deeply and confides in him because she recognizes his exceptional skill and wisdom. The Rings he crafted are imbued with profound magic, capable of so so much, something that cannot solely be attributed to the bearer. He also rebelled against the Valar, not only because he went to ME, but also by crafting the rings, delaying the inevitable fading in a world that the Valar themselves said was not made for the elves any longer. He crafted these rings in secret because he didnt trust Annatar. And let's not forget that Celebrimbor withstood Sauron himself, standing at the very gates of the Mírdain. Baited Sauron into thinking he would wield the Three in battle, died and never told where they are, not even under torture, so honestly, I would say his strength of will and mind overpowered Sauron's despite the consequences. It’s unfair to overlook all that he was and derive the complexity of his character because and according to Sauron. Celebrimbor is his own person.

So, apparently, we’re doing this again. The moral hysteria over incest in fanfiction, brought to you by anons who believe writing about taboo topics is equivalent to endorsing them. I get so many asks with this same topic, and I delete most of them, but the sheer bad-faith logic around fictional incest is so intellectually dishonest...
I write Celegorm/Curufin fic. Not because I secretly want to bang my sisters, not because I think incest is good, not because I fetishize all sibling pairings... but because this one dynamic, within this fictional framework, for me, is compelling. Sometimes Celegorm wants to shield Curufin. Sometimes he wants to kill Curufin. Sometimes Curufin is sweet, sometimes he is cruel. And they do face consequences for their choices. If someone wants to write incest erotica as a fetish, that’s not my business either. Nobody is being forced to read it.
If your argument is that writing or reading these dynamics in fanfic is dangerous because it “normalizes” real-world incest, then you might want to unplug your TV and turn off your PC. Because if fiction had that much power to shape human behavior, we'd all be gun-wielding sociopaths right now.
Adults (supposedly) understand the difference between fantasy and reality. If you don’t, that’s not a fandom problem; that’s a media literacy problem.
At this point, I think these asks aren’t really about caring or protecting anyone. It’s about control, about policing taste and “acceptable” imagination. It’s the same logic that leads to book bans and art censorship.
I don’t need to justify my fic with trauma backstory, social critique, or some moral angle to make it okay. Sometimes they suffer. Sometimes they get away with it. Sometimes it’s hot and terrible and complex and none of it has anything to do with what I believe is right or wrong in real life.
This is the first and will be the last time I will justify myself here about Tyelcurvo. Spare me the concern trolling over what two fictional men from a fictional family in a mythic past do in a fan-created narrative space.
They're not your brothers. You're not reading it.
