AR Cheat Codes Working on Dolphin for Android Figured out how to get AR Cheat Codes working for me. It isn’t difficult once you know how, but it was difficult making sense of all of the posts and videos and learning how. Unfortunately I could not get Gecko Codes to work for me no matter what I tried. So this is a step by step tutorial for AR Codes only. Since it did take me a bit to figure out, and I am one of those people that needs a step by step to do anything. I wanted to share my way of making it work with the community and hopefully it can help someone else out there who is like me and needs a step by step. So lets get started. We are basically going to use Dolphin on the PC to get the cheat codes nice and organized and then we are going to add the text from the game ini file from the PC into the ini file on your Android device. Here is what you need to make this happen: 1. Capable phone and a PC or Mac 2 Download and install current development builds of Dolphin for both Android and PC. As of this post I was using 5.0-9331 for both Android and PC and cheats worked for me. I have no idea if older Dolphin builds will work or not. 3. And the game you want cheat codes for…obviously. ———————————————————————— DO THESE NEXT STEPS ON PC ————————————————————————— 3. Run Dolphin on your PC and import the game you want cheat codes for. If its already there,…hooray! 4. Start the game you want cheat codes for in a small window so you can see both the Dolphin Program and the game running. For me I chose Luigi’s Mansion and I also did Ikaruga. Cause I am never going to beat Ikaruga without some cheat codes. 5. While the game is running. Go to tools, then click on cheat manager. A new window should open and you should see tabs that say AR Codes and Gecko Codes. For Ikaruga and Luigi’s there were AR codes there already. If the codes are there for your game, simply tick the box for the ones you want and hit apply, and close the cheat manager window. 6. Stop and restart the game now. Play a little bit on the PC to see if the Code works. If it works great. You are ready to transfer this over to the Android Device. If it doesn’t, choose another or trouble shoot further. Stop the game at this point no need to run it in the background anymore. 7. Back in the Dolphin games list on your PC, right click on the game, and select properties. Go to the AR Codes tab to make sure the selections stuck, if they did and the box is still checked, your good for now. 8. This next part is a bit tricky, and it is a bit different for each game. But basically in the AR Codes tab click on Edit Config and Show Defaults. The files that open will have the codes listed and it will have them in some of the format that Dolphin likes to see them in. You will have to move some things around and combine them to make them work for Android but don’t worry I’ll explain how and what. For example, the game I was using was Luigi’s Mansion. And when I clicked on Edit Config the Edit Config file that opened for Luigi’s looked like this: —————————————————— (ActionReplay_Enabled) $Infinite Health $999 Cash —————————————————— Those are the two cheats I enabled. But this is only half of the info we need for it to work on Android. The other half is the actual codes themselves and these can be found by clicking on “Show Defaults”. Save it with the exact name as the game name in the ini file, which for Luigi’s is GLME01.ini. You must name it this way. This file is good to go now, make sure you save it somewhere safe. And just for the sake of the example, the Ikaruga file was different. The Ikaruga file when I clicked on Edit Config it looked like this: ———————————————— (ActionReplay_Enabled) $Infinite Lives $Infinite Homing Laser Energy (ActionReplay) $(m) C40C95B4 0000FF00 081F1207 00000010 001F1207 00000001 $Infinite Lives 0018BC4C 00000063 $Infinite Homing Laser Energy 0018BC49 00000078 $Max Combo 0218BC84 000003E7 ———————————————————— And the Show Defaults file for Ikaruga didn’t have anything in it. So I don’t know if this was just my case. But Ikaruga’s file was ready to go from the edit config file. 11. Now we need to find two more files so that the Android app can run the cheat codes. The files we need are named codehandler.bin and totaldb.dsy these files live in the Sys folder in your Dolphin program folder on your PC or MAC. So go to the Dolphin program folder and find them. Copy and save somewhere or just keep that window open. We are gonna need these files. ———————————————————————————————— DO THESE NEXT STEPS ON YOUR ANDROID DEVICE —————————————————————————————— 12. Install latest Development Build of Dolphin if you haven’t already. 13. Launch Dolphin on your Android Device. If you already have game settings for this game and you don’t want to lose those settings, then you need to either write them down, or save the Android ini file before you do anything with the cheats file. 14. Connect your Android Device to your computer and make sure your computer and Android device are set to transfer files. 15. On Android Device, go to the folder named dolphin-emu and open this folder. 16. Copy over the “codehandler.bin” and “totaldb.sys” files into the dolphin-emu folder. Make sure they are both in the dolphin-emu folder. 17. Open the “Config” folder that is inside the “dolphin-emu” folder. Open the “Dolphin.ini” file. TextEdit or Notepad work just fine, you just need to edit some text so use whatever you want. 18. In the Dolphin.ini file search for and find “EnableCheats = False”. This should be under the (Core) section. And replace False with True. Save the file and close. 19. Now its time to get the cheats into the game. Get the ini file you created. Copy and paste this ini file into the “GameSettings” folder on your Android device. It must go into this GameSettings folder. 19. Start up your game. And your cheats should work. If you need to make changes to the game settings from the App, don’t worry they will just be added to the games ini file and the cheat codes will still be there. If you already have an ini file on your android you don’t want to lose or replace, you can copy and paste the text directly into that file, just make sure everything that has to do with the cheat codes from the file you created is at the top of the Android ini file. And if you want to change cheat codes, you will have to do that anyway. Oh, yeah, if you change your mind on the cheats you added to the file, you can open the Android ini file and comment out the lines or delete them. I know this was a long post, I wanted to include as many details as I could. This method has worked for me on both Ikaruga and Luigi’s Mansion so far. I could not get Gecko Codes to work for either game using this method, and when I had Gecko codes enabled on a game the Android app would crash overtime. So I am avoiding the Gecko Codes for now, I am ok with just the AR Codes. Thank you to the Dolphin Devs for making an awesome app.

The inclusion of an open world for exploration and various other new features are extremely successful in rejuvenating the Lego video game franchise and are certainly welcome overall. However, their inclusion does mean that the game suffers from occasional growing pains.

For instance, the map does not allow players to zoom in and accurately locate unlockables, which can be a frustrating experience at times. Meanwhile, the auto save function is not the best and may take a little bit of time for the player to familiarise themselves with.

Yet, it is important to stress that none of these issues crop up too frequently and they do little to detract from what is an otherwise excellent gaming experience and a great addition to the Lego collection.

So I decided to lay down a basic difference of the localhost server platforms available to make your task easier. In this article, I have discussed basic difference between WAMP LAMP MAMP and XAMPP.

WampServer is also another tool used for creating web applications and PHP. XAMPP MAMP WAMP LAMP; Supporting Platforms. It is a cross-platform software package supported by platforms like Linux, Windows, and Mac OS. This stack of software is only for the MAC operating system. WAMP local server is only supported by Windows Operating system. LAMP is supported by a single platform i.e., Linux based systems.

All the application servers: WAMP, LAMP, MAMP and XAMPP is a complete package containing PHP, MySql and Apache Server. Each one can be installed separately which will work fine as well, but the installation of these packages is much faster and simpler than installing them one by one. Install and configure an AMP package

Download and install the desired AMP package.

Use the AMP control pane to start the components.

If the web server does not start, most likely a port conflict takes place. By default, the Apache HTTP server listens to port 80. This port can be already used by other services, for example, Skype. To solve the issue, update the server configuration file as follows:

Locate the line Listen 80 and change it to, for example Listen 8080.

Locate the line ServerName localhost:80 and change it accordingly, in this example to ServerName localhost:8080.

With PhpStorm, we can have several separate PHP interpreters registered in the IDE, depending on the PHP version or PHP configuration needed for the project. All currently registered installations of PHP interpreters are displayed in the CLI Interpreter list:

Add the interpreter installed with MAMP

Click to the right of the list. The CLI Interpreters dialog opens.

In the left-hand pane, click the button on the toolbar.

In the Name field, type the name to identify the current installation, for example MAMP PHP 7.1.

In the PHP Executable field, specify the folder where the php (PHP executable) file is stored. Either enter the path manually or click and locate the file.

PhpStorm checks whether the specified folder contains a PHP executable file, detects the PHP version, and displays it in the PHP Info read-only field. PhpStorm also validates that the debugger is configured correctly.

We can now save these settings and select the newly added PHP interpreter for our project:

PhpStorm will now use the PHP installation that was bundled with MAMP.

Integrating the debugger

PhpStorm offers a powerful debugger in which breakpoints can be set and variables can be inspected at runtime. For more information on using PhpStorm's debugger, explore Debug with PhpStorm: Ultimate Guide.

Note that if you are using the latest MAMP PRO, the httpd.conf, php.ini and my.cnf files should be edited through the Template Editor provided by MAMP PRO. To edit the template files, navigate to File | Edit Template. When MAMP PRO starts the Apache and MySQL servers it uses these templates to create httpd.conf and php.ini files, erasing the previously created ones.

Once you have installed and configured the debugger, you can validate your debugging configuration by performing the steps described in Validate the Configuration of a Debugging Engine.

Integrating the Apache server

Interaction between PhpStorm with Web, FTP, and other servers is handled by the FTP/SFTP Connectivity plugin, which is enabled by default. The IDE accesses servers using the connection settings specified in the registered server access configurations.

Create and manage server access configurations

In the Settings/Preferences dialog Ctrl+Alt+S, click Deployment under Build, Execution, Deployment.

Click the on the toolbar, select the Local or mounted folder, and specify the name for the MAMP in the dialog that opens.

After clicking OK, we can specify the path of the Apache's web root /Applications/MAMP/htdocs and the URL of the web server, http://localhost:8888. Note that the actual settings depend on how you have configured the MAMP Apache server in the MAMP configuration or Apache configuration files.

Don't forget to mark the server as default by clicking , so that PhpStorm uses it with browser integration instead of the built-in web server. By clicking Open, we can open the MAMP htdocs folder in the browser and thus verify that the provided settings are correct.

Integrating the MySQL server

PhpStorm allows to connect to the MAMP MySQL database server using the Database Tools and SQL plugin, which is installed and enabled by default. Before you start, make sure that the MySQL server is running on the MAMP PRO Control Panel. If you are using MAMP PRO, also make sure that the Allow network access to MySQL checkbox is selected on the MAMP PRO Control Panel.

From the right-hand side of the IDE, open the Database tool window.

Here, we can create a new connection or Data Source by using the context menu or the toolbar button. We need to specify the JDBC database driver that will be used to connect to our database. For MySQL, we can use the MySQL Connector driver available in the list of drivers. PhpStorm doesn't ship these drivers but we can download the correct JDBC driver by clicking link.

Next, we need to enter the connection details. Alternatively, we can provide the connection string to the MySQL Database in the Database URL field, for example jdbc:mysql://localhost:8889/ or jdbc:mysql://localhost:8889/foodb to connect to the foodb database.

We can also specify the username and password for MySQL. By default, MAMP uses root both as the username and the password.

When using UTF-8 or unicode characters in the username, password or database name, two additional parameters must be added to the connection string: characterEncoding and useUnicode. An example connection string would be jdbc:mysql://localhost:8889?characterEncoding=utf8&useUnicode=true. It may also be required to select a different JDBC driver from the list, that is, com.mysql.jdbc.NonRegisteringDriver.

Having defined the data source, use the Test Connection button to verify the settings and make sure PhpStorm can connect to MySQL.

We can now create tables, run queries, update data and so on. See Database tools and SQL for more information.

XAMPP is a cross-platform package consisting of an Apache HTTP server, MySQL database, PHP interpreter, and Perl interpreter. The word 'XAMPP' is an acronym, where 'X' stands for 'cross', meaning 'cross-platform', and the other letters stand for the package components.

Downloading and installing XAMPP

Download and install XAMPP from the XAMPP Downloads page. Once the XAMPP archive is downloaded, unpack it and run the installer. The XAMPP installation wizard is pretty straightforward, you only need to proceed through the installation steps.

Having installed XAMPP and launched its components, we now need to tell the IDE where these components are stored and how they are configured.

After installation, use the XAMPP Control Panel to perform such actions as starting or stopping servers and changing configurations.

Starting and stopping servers

To start a specific server, click the Start button next to it.

By default, none of the servers such as Apache or MySQL are installed as Windows Services. This means that whenever we want to make use of these servers, we have to manually start them through the XAMPP Control Panel. When a server runs as a Windows Service, it with Windows automatically.

Stop the server you want to install as a Windows Service by clicking the Stop button.

When Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac connects to a Microsoft 365 account, Autodiscover is redirected from HTTP to HTTPS, and you may receive a warning message that resembles the following:

Outlook was redirected to the server Autodiscover-s.outlook.com to get new settings for your account [email protected]. Do you want to allow this server to configure your settings? https://autodiscover-s.outlook.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml Click Allow only if you fully trust the source, or if your Exchange administrator instructs you to.

When this warning message occurs, you may select Always use my response for this server and then select Allow in order not to be asked about this specific server again for this Outlook 2016 for Mac profile.

You or administrators may want to suppress the initial warning message. This article contains information about how to do this.

You can Unzip multiple files all at once into a single directory using Terminal.

1. Open up 'Spotlight.'

2. Type in 'Terminal' and then launch it.

3. Type the following commands in Terminal:

cd /Users/phil/Downloads/folder_with_zips

(The above command is to navigate to where your multiple Zipped files are. Input the right directory as proper. In the above example, the Zipped files are in 'Downloads').

Unfortunately, FAT32 is a very old file system and has some technical limitations. For example, you cannot save files that are larger than 4GB on a FAT32-formatted drive. This is a deal-breaker if you work with huge files. The other limitation is the total size of the partition. If you format your FAT32 drive in Windows, the drive partition cannot be larger than 32GB. If you format it from a Mac running 10.7 Lion, the drive partition can be up to 2TB. Much better, except for that pesky 4GB limit.

The exFAT file system eliminates the two major deficiencies of FAT32: the largest partition and file sizes it supports are virtually unlimited by today’s standards. Awesome, it’s perfect! Click the Erase button and the drive will start formatting. Be aware that formatting a drive deletes all of the files on it, so back up anything important before completing this step.

Format a drive using Windows

Go to Computer (or My Computer in Windows XP).

Select your drive from the list and right-click on it. Choose Format from the contextual menu.

A window will pop up where you can choose the format – NTFS, FAT32, or exFAT. Make sure the allocation unit size is set to default and type in a volume label.

Click Start to format the drive.
