Though I deeply revere and honor our gods, I must ask, why must they always come down to fix the characters problems? I must say, I am no longer a fan of Dues Ex Machina. It is a rather dangerous device anyway don't you think, the last drama, an actor had to dodge the cart as it fell from the sky!

As some of you now know, I have become an avid collector of these satyr trinkets. What can I say, the lewd and phallus comedy within these dramas has grown on me (do pardon my vulgar nature, what have I become, a satyr myself?). I was having a drink of wine with my dear friend LarkspurLover and she handed me this adorable trinket, what a fun design!

I must say, I found this last Satyr drama to be so entertaining and hilarious that I just had to buy myself a pottery piece inspired by the drama. I am so excited to display this humorous and excellently created work in my home!

Dionysian Thoughts
Hello All! I just wanted to talk about how much I have been loving the current festivities that we have be partaking in! I could not have believed what would be born from Thespis’s performances. I have a confession to make to all of you. I know I have said that I deeply prefer the Tragedies as “they help me to purge my melancholy feelings”, but I have always been a big fan of the Satyr Dramas. I must say that I find the vulgar nature of the Satyrs to be rather funny, and it is a rather beautiful thing to be laughing with others within the audience.

Conversation
A Conversation Between Myself and a Dear Friend
Me: What are your thoughts in Euripides work "The Cyclops"
Friend: I really enjoyed it, though I had trouble connecting with the character Odysseus
Me: How so?
Friend: Well, I feel that I could never understand why he was debating with the Cyclops about duty and pleasure.
Me: It made a lot of sense to me
Friend: *Holding Onto a Wine Glass* But how can doing my duty as a citizen bring me as much happiness as this wine can
(Oh my dear LarkspurLover, how you are enamored with our local wines)

Though Pesistratus is not the kindest ruler, I must say I am throughly enjoying the festivities taking place at “The City of Dionysia” are very fun and entertaining. I’m especially excited for the theatre competition to commence!

Hello! I was just wondering if you wanted to come down to the Epidarius with me later this week? You remember that man Thespis? I heard that he and the dithyramb chorus will be performing today! I heard from a shopkeeper that Thespis is going to be wearing masks, it sounds like it's going to be fun!
Yes! Of course, I will go with you! I was planning on going no matter what, even by myself. Thespis’s works and performances move me so much, so any chance I get to see him and the chorus perform will definitely be taken

Just another day in paradise :) I must say, Polykleitos the Younger really outdid himself with this wonderful place. I swear one time I was sitting in the very back row, and a coin fell out of the dithyramb chorus leaders' pocket and I heard it clear as a bell all the way from up there!

Hey Girl! Did you see what happened at the Epidarius Theater today? Some guy stood out from the crowd and began to perform as the characters, it was honestly a bit too much in my opinion, music should just be music. I was wondering your thoughts on this? - LarkspurLover
I must say that I disagree, though I do love listening to dithyrambs, I loved seeing what this man did (Thespis I think is his name). It was so fun to see, it was like the characters in the music were alive! I must say I cannot wait to see them perform again!
