Timescape 17
The Gravity of the Me
While my timescapes are a compilation of journeys and my experiences to countless stars, this one will not follow the same pattern.
This story is sad or happy, based on the perspective of the reader and it is located on just a single planet.
Impurus Minor is the name of the planet and not a name I gave.
It just is. And it is classified as an Ossified astral body by the details given from my Ship Scanner.
You traveller might have gone to a planet like this one or seen an image from another traveller amongst the stars.
If not, they look like this
Endless plains, mountains or cliffs, filled with Star shaped flora and Minerals and ever-joyous levitating stars.
If you explore a bit, you will hear rumbling sounds and if you turn your head you will see that the planet is alive. Star shaped “animals” wandering around in endless loops. Not hunting or feeding. Just making loops.
In the far edges of a mountain, somehow forgotten from the rest of the scenery, I even found an Ossified Star. I didn’t know what that was but after analyzing it, I understood that it was an anomaly in that planet, given the fact that it was the only star with an orange colored center. Either an “animal” that never got to get alive, or an animal that died but somehow got to exist forever.
In the daytime everything seemed as expected, as far as the “expected” can go, but while it grew darker, this notion started to fade away.
As light got dimmer, I realized that some “Stars” shine purple in their Hearts.
It was a brilliant moment to be in the middle of the night, surrounded by purple glowing stars. It was like as if I was in the middle of a bright minefield.
Until I observed this very small detail…
The star-shaped things, did not glow on their own. They shine only IF you look at them.
You, as an individual, an entity from Light Years away, can interact with something J U S T by looking at it. You don’t have to mine it, you don’t have to shoot it with a grenade, or adjust it with you manipulator.
Just look at it.
And it responds. It looks back. Your f@cking stare, can awake something in the Universe. It puts to life something long dead or wake it from its long slumber.
Just let it sink for a brief moment.
To prove it, here are two photos taken from the same spot over a “forest” of Stars, without looking at them. The first is without having passed through, and the other, after I did so.
I even captured, my trail back to my ship. Those are all the individual entities I awaken.
After that Eureka moment of mine, I wondered
“Does this happen to every planet or just this type?”
“Having travelled so much, do I have a trail by the things I woke or brought to life?”
“Are they Sentient and communicate with me”?
“Is that their nod to my question if I am even real?”
And if they are sentient and I wake them up or bring them to life, should I spend my whole life finding those planets and bring them to their senses?
What would you do Traveller if there were millions of Travellers sleeping and your stare could wake them? Would you do it for everyone on a planet and every planet you encountered or would you let them in their eternal sleep?
I travelled so, so many Light Years and visited many stars and planets, but never in my whole journey have I imagined that I would be in such an awkward ethical dilmema.
This little detail is the whole meaning of Life itself.
You are not alive, or awake, until this someone -be friend, lover, relative, or stranger- stares at you in a way that your Heart shines purple.
And it is up to you to figure out if in your Life, you are the Traveller for someone, or just the Idle Star.
I am not sure what path I will follow from now on, but I hope you already know yours.

Well, this is what happens if you shoot from your cockpit the crashed starship (from a distress signal) instead of landing and repairing it.
You get constant fireworks :-D

Cosmos Cartography
DW - Autumn, Planet
Weather: Mild Rain (Tropical Planet)
Sentinels: Low
Resources: Salt, Parrafinium, Copper, Star Bramble
Eissentam Galaxy, middle rim (623782 LY to Center)
Cluster: Eusambaw Fringe, Korvax Dominion
Brief Summary
While in the first glance this planet seems to have nothing interesting, by investing some time the traveller gets specific elements that make this one unique.
Rich flora is the strong element here and pairing this with the weather, makes the perfect scenery. The planet seems to be in constant Autumn, thus the name.
Yellowish skies, turn to faint green while midday. All the terrain is yellow - brown with some green tints here and there.
The temperature seem stuck around 21 degrees Celcius that drop about 3 degrees in night.
While there is no sign of water here, there is a vast cave system that support the rich flora. Scanned minerals, give me the notes of “Transfering water” and I think it meant at the nearby ecosystems.
Fauna is unique but not strange, with the exception of a flying creature that does not have any means of flight.
Lastly, the terrain has some “anomalies”, given the landscapes are filled with huge spearhead shaped mountains and they don’t seem natural at all. Terraformed (?)
Flora
As described above there are a lot of different types of trees and bushes on the planet. Some trees are about 1.5 meters tall, while others reach a little more than 13.
The smallest trees
A Pine-like tree, almost two times larger than the top ones
And the biggest kind of tree that can reach 2 to 3 times the size of the pine-like trees above.
Some low bushes and five-leaved flora
Fauna
Insect types and crab types are dominant on this planet. The crab type creatures have an extraordinary ability to fly while they have no means at all. Flight might be an overstatement while they cannot go very high on air but mostly hover.
Except from those, there are actual flying creatures and some mammals that live and move in herds.
This mammal has a T-shaped bone on its head and on each end, has its eyes,
Its interesting to note the hump on its back that support the animal in case of dehydration.
Those mammals, close relatives as species to the above, have evolved natural weapons (spikes connected by membranes) on their front legs. They always move in herds while the above are solitary.
A “landed” crab like creature.
A giant insectoid, at the height of a tree
Color blended wing-span
Landscapes
Most of the photos taken below, show the aforementioned “anomalies” on the terrain. Those cannot be natural as they are perfectly sculpted into a cone. Some of them have a pointy peak, and some are flat on top.
A Star-Bramble forest
One of many entrances to a cave system
Weirdly scortched area. Those are rocky areas with the least to no flaura.
Cave System
The caves are complex, and really dangerous as they host large quantities of toxic erupting flora.
Unique Details
Small flowers, broke through stone, inside a cave
The Star-Bramble forest shining in midnight
A mysterious mountain peak that seems cut in the middle and then terraformed in the inside. While I flew to the bottom, there were no signs of why someone got into that kind of trouble.
A “close call” from a stranger traveller, that just avoided the mountain side on the right of the photo. On the left side of the ship, is clearly shown one more scortched area.
Thick mould on a rock and bio-luminescent flowers
Golden Starfish on a dried planet. That’s too suspicious.... How did it end up here?

Devils in Details
While I spent sometime to explore the planet for the next Cosmos Cartography, I caught myself staring constantly that small piece of flora. Those details mesmerise me in an instant.
Love the way the leaves match the colours of the terrain with the yellowish lines inside green.

Cosmos Cartography
DW - Aquon Rex, Planet (Ringed)
Weather: Humid (Tropical Planet)
Sentinels: Hostile
Resources: Albumen Pearl, Silver, Parrafinium, Copper, Star Bramble
Eissentam Galaxy, middle rim (624307 LY to Center)
Cluster: Ukkeever, Vy’Keen Dominion
Brief Summary
An almost totally water-covered planet (about 75%-80%), with two continents that are actually more like very big islands. While flying through the atmosphere, the pilot can see here and there tiny bald surfaces, so landing is an option mid-ocean. The majority of this cartography is made with the help of the submercible exocraft, Achelus and is mostly underwater.
The seabed is covered with rich flora which consists of various forms of sea-weed, some of them with a bright orange color that can reach the height of 3-5 meters.
Most interesting is the number of huge crystals (over 7-8 meters high that sometimes pop out of the surface) that have formed over the years. They all seem to be moving and the analysis visor identifies them as “Water Transporting”, but after a lot of research I cannot seem to be able to find where they transport it.
Sea Temperature is always fixed at 25.9 °C while day temperature outside of sea reaches a high of 32.5 °C on daytime and a 23.4 °C at night.
While researching the planet, I never encountered any kind of storm.
There is a rare cave system below surface and it will be explained in the Landscapes section due to a catch.
Flora
As already stated, flora exists on all seabed of DW - Aquon Rex but there is the need to add that it is also existing on the surface even if it is small. The two continent-like islands do have concentrated amounts of high trees and bushes. The planets is generous in quantities of various forms of flora. Most of them do have blue and red tints and hues but unfortunately, not a combination of those two to give purple color to the wholeness of the planet.
It’s important to check the size of the submarine compared to local underwater flora and crystals.
Fauna
Four different fish type creatures, none less than 35 kg. They can be found in any depth and they seem to adapt to different biomes.
Surface creatures are plenty and again all concentrated in a small area due to the small width of the islands.
Landscapes
This is how the planet looks while flying over the surface. A couple of small “rests” to land here and there.
Crystal formations.
A sunken Gek temple. After searching, a Trident was found and used on a buried chest near the temple. There surely was life here sometime before.
A sunken fighter as well. Some time spend here to repair it and change it with my own fighter, due to better class and cargo hold.
The most interesting finding in this expedition was this “road”. I followed it in Achelus and it lead to the first cave opening I had found from the time I was there exploring. It was obviously a sigh to research further into the caves.
The caves were complex enough, but they lead to a deep place with a destroyed and sunken Freighter.
Night Sky
Nothing weird or unique.
Unique Details
Huge green Crystals coming through the surface. The height cannot be seen with accuracy in the picture but some crystals can reach the level of the surface of the small islands.

DW - Emeralion, Moon
Weather: Invisible Jade Winds
Sentinels: Minimal
Resources: Cobalt, Pure Ferrite, Emeril
Eissentam Galaxy, middle rim (622979 LY to Center)
Cluster: Siginnia Shallows, Gek Dominion
Brief Summary
Classified as “Haunted Dead Moon”.
Rocky terrain with sharp edges, cover the most part of the moon. In the middle of piles of stones, crystals have formed breaking the rocks apart.
The atmosphere is filled with tiny bits of jade, giving the illusion of pink surroundings.
Despite the lack of much flora, mushroom shaped animals and some birds do exist. The main attraction of this moon though, is its giant “fang” or “carrot” shaped stones that pierce through the surface.
Lowest temperature is 10.6 °C and highest at 13.2 °C.
If the traveller is lucky enough to find any entrance of a cave, then they can enjoy an endless complex of tunnels.
Water is not existing on the Moon.
Flora
Existing flora is very short (besides a pleurotus mushroom-like “tree” that reaches up to 2,8 meters) and not very interesting neither in colors, nor in properties.
This flower, has bloomed over the top of a pinaple like creature. Most interesting!
Fauna
All the creatures, with the exception of the flying ones, resemble some kind of fruit or mushroom. To move they have to force themselves to jump. No predators exist amongst them and they all feed from the air that as said above, is full of grated jade. Its a peaceful place, but noisy.
This fellow, dwelves deep into caves and goes in packs. Pups run after the female of the pack.
The green eyes on the side are moving separate.
Dragon-like flying creatures caught while diving to feed.
Landscapes
I wish there were interesting spots on this moon, but the most of the region is as in the picture below. Interesting is the comparison between the huge stones and my spaceship which can be seen if the picture is zoomed in.
Night Sky
While on daytime, the atmosphere goes pink due to jade, in the night jade drops its properties and let the actual color to kick in. A serene blue reigns in the sky.
Unique Details
Jade breaking through 3-layered piece of stone.
Vines that leave blue colored moisture on the piece of stone they hang
Liquid Ferrite
Cave Entrance that lead to only one exit after wandering about 18 minutes.
Idle mushroom organism. Analysis visor characterizes it as “Super Elastic”. Weird...

Devils in Details
Not that this type of “tree” is any close to a detail, but the color patterns are out of a collision between a rainbow and a dream.
Found on a heavily radioactive planet, with very hostile environment.
If humankind was to have an avatar of nature, this would be it. Tall, sturdy, overcoming surrounding conditions, a bright and soft part from the one side and a violent “spiky” part from the other, colourful, pliable and overall unique.

DW - Oth Golden, Planet
Weather: Refreshing Breeze (Verdant Planet)
Sentinels: Relaxed
Resources: Albumen Pearl, Pure Ferrite, Parrafinium, Copper, Star Bramble
Eissentam Galaxy, middle rim (624703 LY to Center)
Cluster: Uhlangew Fringe, Gek Dominion
Brief Summary
Accompanied by its moons, this planet is the furthest in this system of the total four celestial bodies. Exploring DW- Oth Golden was a pleasant expendition and an easy one as well. It is formatted with a majority of valleys and plains, filled with green trees and blueish-green grass. There are occasional steep high peaks with a flat area on top, sometimes filled with local flora.
Temperatures are perfect for Travellers, as they are 23.4 °C on daytime and
16.8 °c at night.
Every five or six days, a mild storm might hit for a couple of minutes but it is totally something that even the most un-modded exosuit can handle.
Caves do exist, but they are shallow and uninteresting for the sake of exploration.
The main attraction is nothing said above though. It is that the whole planet do suffer from comet-falls. While wondering the globe, craters are everywhere to be seen. They are huge and have little to no life on them, except sodium and oxygen type of flora. No comets dropped while I was present though. The craters must have been from earlier impacts.
Flora
A moderate variety of green trees, low bushes and colorful flowers. The only exception is a totally alien red tree type, which has a wider diameter closer to its roots and smaller as it reaches its branches. Its leaves are wide, curved, multi-layered and little splay. It seems out of the picture of the whole eco-system but a fine touch nevertheless.
A close-up of the leaves
A bunch of “Sentient Flora” that include Albumen Pearls.
Quite dangerous to travellers as well as quite valuable to Sentinels.
Fauna
Four different species that walk around, all too friendly. Note, that once you feed them they don’t want to leave you go.
Landscapes
Green-forested plains, brusque mountains and wide craters. All in abundance.
Huge craters, one next to another. Trees go up to 2.5 meters. Use trees for scaling.
Night Sky
A sky with nothing out of the ordinary.
Unique Details
A Pure Ferrite rock-formation that fits the planet color palette
Some forgotten Navigational Data on their pedastals. Extremely valuable to Sentinels.
A small forest of Star Bramble in between the actual forest.

DW - Neutro Gamma, Planet
Weather: Irradiated Downpours (Radioactive Planet)
Sentinels: Minimal
Resources: Salt, Uranium, Emeril, Gamma Root
Eissentam Galaxy, middle rim (624125 LY to Center)
Cluster: Ibelje Band, Vy’Keen Dominion
Brief Summary
A quiet planet, with low variation on its topography. It consists of islands with bursts of brief flora. A few exceptions are over 2 meters high.
The islands are divided by seas, not very deep but with enough seaweed and other alien vegetation.
While on normal days, radiation is at 5.5 Rad. Water is more vulgar reaching 8 rad either on lakes or at seas. In the very rare event of an irradiated supecell, radiation can reach a high of 9.7 Rad.
Cave systems are either very rare or non-existent.
Flora
As written above, flora is sparce and weird. In some cases there was a dozen of Venom Sacks side by side. Note to travellers, picking them enrages the Sentinels.
Fauna
Three out of nine species, are predatory in nature. The rest are bird types, fish, or small pack animals.
Landscapes
There are some peaks thar resemble mountains but not as we get to know them, either on height nor at width. Lakes are a common sight in islands, as well as seas around them.
Night Sky
Dark blue, to variations of pink and purple. Nightsky is the true winner on this planet.
Unique Details
A bunch of Gamma Root plants glowing at night-time.
Some very low flora that covers most of the ground when you are not stepping on sand.
Perfect cyclic ponds. Totally unknown of how those ponds are made. They are quite popular around the globe.
The skin of the tallest type of trees. It seems like radiation is constantly infecting it.
