I always hate when people are like “you only ship gay ships because your gay”, especially when it comes to anime

because like yeah I’m gay, but that’s not why most of my ships are gay. They’re mostly gay because most animes (that I’ve seen) put So Much Emphasis on male/male friendships/relationships in general. Like of course I’m going to ship that, they act very much Not platonically.

And how do I know it’s not just because I’m gay (outside of the fact that that’s a stupid argument)? Fairy tail.

Fairy tail is one of the few places where I ship almost exclusively straight ships. Nalu for example, they put such emphasis on the connection between Natsu and Lucy, in a way that is definitely not platonic. Not only that, but they go out of their way to show what a platonic/found family relationship looks like (Lucy and Erza for example, but I know some people ship that too and if you like that ship then go for it, I’m glad you enjoy it 👍)

The whole point of this is, if you want me to stop shipping two (or more) male characters together, stop treating their connection like a romantic one when meaning for it to be platonic

Suddenly Levi is glaring at that plush lots, and often mutters stuff at it when alone. "What? You think you're better than me? So what if you are smaller and cuter than me! So what! MC is mine! ALL MINE!"

The Levi plush just sits there, staring, unresponsive, since its a plush after all.

"STOP BEING SILENT AND COOL! I'LL SUMMON LOTAN ON YOU! JUST YOU WATCH!"

Anyway maybe getting a plushy of your Avatar of Envy partner wasn't the greatest of ideas...

Something I will never understand is people who hate Taylor Swift and say she can't sing.

Because the Girl can definitely sing. But since I'm not the most knowledgeable on notes, and pitch, I won't focus on that.

What I will focus on is what made her famous, and no, it isn't Kanye.

Taylor Swift is not a singer. She is a poet. An amazing lyricist and a beautiful songwriter. There's a reason whenever swifties freak out about a song. It's always the bridge or a specific line. Very rarely is it about her actual voice.

AND THAT'S PERFECTLY FINE!!!!

Because Taylor Swift's appeal has always been that she's a good song writter. Especially with songs like:

And so many more, this is only off the top of my head. She might not be very vocally gifted on the same level as Adele or Ariana (also amazing artists), but that was never her driving factor.
