I finally updated my icon! I’m pretty happy with the improvement after seeing them all side by side! I get more pink every year it seems 💖

For the last day of Mermay I have something very special!!

This is my OC, Nori! I made Nori about 3 years ago for a dnd campaign, but i never made her an official design sheet. This Mermay I was finally motivated enough to do it!

So, this is my girl. She’s entirely made of different kelps and seaweeds. How is she alive?? Who knows! But you won’t have much time to think about it as she springs out of hiding amongst the seaweed and hunts you down!

Nori is the Japanese word for seaweed, making it quite the appropriate name, if not a bit on the nose. However, it’s also short for her full name, Laminoria, which is a play on the name of the species of kelp that makes up most of her body, Laminariales.
