I wanted to revisit this set because I definitely did NOT handle this properly the first time and it haunts me haha

I’d hoped it was obvious that platonic affection is not going to have the same definition to everyone, but alas I had quite a few people telling me this wasn’t platonic whatsoever.

So here’s your reminder that platonic affection can be presented however you want it to be. There is no linear spectrum between platonic and romantic affection. Express your care for your friends however you’d like as long as everyone involved is okay with it!

And I’m not saying that these prompts aren’t allowed to be seen as romantic, but that would obviously flip the context of the prompts upside down. I think seeing these as platonic specifically makes them sweeter in a sense? I hope that makes sense lol

Platonic Affection Prompts

It had to be done. Platonic affection supremacy.

Cuddling after a bad day and talking about their problems together.

A kiss on the top of the head.

One sitting in the other’s lap.

Not hesitating/being awkward when they say “I love you”.

One wiping away the other’s tears in silence, with a gentle hug after.

Bringing eachother food every time they go out to get some. Bonus: one of them feeding the other.

Going to a store to buy lame matching stuff together.

One doing the other’s hair to prepare them for their upcoming date.

One picking the other up to take them out on a date after they were stood up.

One of them having an injury that leaves them temporarily bedridden, so the other comes over with food and cuddles with them for company.
