In Our Own Time - Chapter 19

Bonnie and Damon are not on speaking terms, at least according to Bonnie's terms. However, Damon refuses to let Bonnie stonewall him, and courtesy of his younger brother, he has an ace up his sleeve. It would only be a matter of time before Bonnie was back in his arms, not his understudy's.

Damon’s jealousy should have disgusted her, but it didn’t. It just raised her blood pressure, put her on edge, and even excited her a little. She knew better; she hadn’t forgotten that he had chosen Elena. But there was something about the way he reacted to her and Enzo. It satisfied something in her just as much as it unsettled her.  When he returned, her initial plan for Damon was to make him a good man before she died, but the idea of revenge entertained her—nothing serious like torture, more like teasing.  If she had more time than Bonnie wanted to get, even..... Bonnie knew it was silly to think Damon would apologize, let alone that she would believe it if she heard it. Some part of her felt it better for him to abandon her again. And yet Bonnie knew just by the feverish look in his eye that he couldn’t leave her alone; he needed something from her. No time apart could erase her recognition of that in his eyes. And as much as she hoped his desire for her would motivate him to do better at reconciling things before she died, she wasn’t a fool. 

Bonnie knew what Damon wanted from her.... what he constantly searched for in her eyes.... ... she would die before she gave him that.  It wasn’t just because she was being loyal to Elena. It was because, after all these years, she had finally realized he didn’t deserve her in the first place... If he wanted things to be good again, Damon would have to bury his pride and fast before they buried her.

Chapter 32- More than Words

Ten years have passed since Bonnie and Damon got trapped together in 1994. It's safe to say they know each other better than anyone else, yet they still have some things to say.

Bonnie smiled,” It needed to be said?” “I guess not.”

Chapter 31 - Can we have pancakes?

Damon and Bonnie wake up. Another beautiful day has greeted their nest, full of tiny surprises.

Bonnie giggled against his shoulder, her mouth quivering in joyous anticipation. Damon opened one eye to look at his wife. Her green eyes gleamed beautifully. Damon was lucky to be living this dream.

Chapter 30 - Congratulations!

Damon and Bonnie are in Paris, having the best time. It seems like happily ever after has finally come.

Bonnie woke up to the smell of fried batter. Even in Paris, Damon never missed a day of pancakes.

bamon makes me feel insane to this day because i’ve never seen two people have that much chemistry like i swear every time they were together sparks flew. i legit started shipping them since s1 because of that instant spark. the writers really missed out not exploring it

Chapter 29 - Wildflower and Barley

Bonnie is planning to get away from Mystic Falls for a little while. However, Damon is sad to see her go.

“You are so obsessed,” she moaned as he brought her down for more kisses. “You know this is not an obsession, right?”

Chapter 28 - Beneath the Milky Twilight

Bonnie and Damon are back. All they need to do is… well, you know… kiss.

Their mouths were silent, but their hearts weighed heavily on their sleeves. There was so much to say, ask, and think about. However, the fear of the answer hung heavy between them.

Chapter 27 - Never in a million years...

Bonnie finally confesses the secret she had been hiding from the start.

“I’m sure there a couple of billion people you’d rather be with.” “No, not exactly.”

"you're the writer, you control how the story goes" no not really. i wrote the first sentence and then my characters said "WE WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE" and promptly swerved into an electrical fence.

Chapter 26 - Jealous

Damon can't stand what he's seeing right now, even though he knows it's what has to be done. Just seeing Bonnie with anyone else makes him jealous.

“You look so cute when you are jealous.” “Don’t get used to it.”

Chapter 25- I'm Yours

Bonnie and Damon's plot is going according to plan. But Bonnie is not shy about sharing her affection for Damon in secret.

Kai took the bait. It wasn’t surprising Bonnie was irresistible. Damon knew firsthand that her power, beauty, and goodness were monster bait.
