Heinrich’s romantic relationships involve the devil Lucifugus and the doctor Owen. So he’s okay if his partner being either evil or good. Moral ambiguity, huh? Oh I know many morally ambiguous folks in otome games. But he also needs someone who is okay with bouts of possessiveness, as well as being a bit possessive themselves. With all that in mind, my match for Heinrich is Seiya from 9 R.I.P.

Seiya is, to put it mildly, a hopeless romantic.

In a way, he’s a bit of a contrast to Heinrich. Where Heinrich is demisexual and thus slow to fall in love, Seiya practically jumps at the opportunity to fall in love when presented with it. He’s not quite possessive as a lover but he is an obsessive one. It wouldn’t be odd if Heinrich found Seiya day dreaming about kisses and dates before they’re even together. He’s not shy about voicing or showing his affection at all. He’s even stated that he likes to tease those he finds adorable (okay in the game he specifies teasing girls but we’re broadening his horizons).

Aside from being a romantic, Seiya is also a diligent worker. He works for the Hell Organization and is basically a department head there. And well, Heinrich seems to find himself attracted to people with important positions (never his intention but that’s still how Heinrich’s relationships have turned out). Seiya’s residence in the Hell might also be a comfort to Heinrich since he spent hundreds if not thousands of years in the Underworld.

I can see Seiya and Heinrich talking with each other about how dismal Hell/the Underworld is while having this sweet, carefree aura around them. They’re a pair of lovey-dovey goofballs in an undesirable place. These two give off the vibe that they can make the best out of the worst situation of their lives.

If Heinrich is ever in trouble, Seiya would be there to comfort them or talk through plans of action. Seiya is often shown being a voice of reason or caution when a situation is dire. He’s the type to ask “did you notice something unusual” or “what’s something you don’t understand” so that whoever he’s helping can take a moment and think more clearly. For as hasty as his love is, Seiya will have his wits about him in a crisis.

I hope Heinrich likes to be spoiled because that’s what Seiya will do when in a relationship. He doesn’t have money to flaunt but he’ll take days off from his usually unending work, shower Heinrich with words of affection, and simply be head over heels.
