To most eyes, the man standing at the door would appear to be a perfectly normal human foreigner in a burgundy suit—perhaps smiling a tad too wide, but if anything that probably just helped solidify the “foreigner” image. “Good evening! I hope I’m not disturbing you too—oh!” He wasn’t expecting to be greeted by an armadillo. “Hello!” He came some way to get here.

Alastor refocused on the man speaking to him, took him in properly—skin so gray it almost looked blue, pointed ears, a hint of fangs—and his grin widened. “And you must be the vampire I’ve heard works here! Well! It’s an honor to meet you, sir—I’ve heard fine things about your vampire hunting service, and—but I’m getting ahead of myself!” He offered a hand. “My name’s Alastor, and I’ve come all the way across the Pacific hoping to ask about vampire hunting in this town.”

✞;;-  John and Draluc take pause to study the stranger before a small paw reaches upward to offer a polite wave as the vampires own hands extends to greet the other mans. It was odd most defiantly. Most strangers who come to this wrenched door are usually yelling and carrying on but this man seemed, for the most part anyway, like he understood well of proper etiquette. And honestly? It was refreshing considering.  “You’re too kind.” The vampire grins with ill inflated ego. This wasn’t his business nor did he own the space itself. But he wasn’t about to correct the man either. “Vell, Mr. Alastor, I am humbled by your presence here today; and even more so to hear that you have traveled all this vay just to pay us a visit! Are you perhaps a blogger? A Reporter?”

While Draluc questioned the man at the door John looked up towards him with slight suspicion. Something. . wasn’t right. But the Armadillo couldn’t put his little paw on it. He seemed friendly enough and had been very polite so far. Perhaps the little creature was overthinking the situation and was simply anxious since no one was around to help his master should trouble be started. Such is the nature of a prey animal and loyal companion.

✞;;- A knock? Now that was odd. Draluc and John curiously poked their heads out from behind the doorframe of the kitchen and peered into the main office of the hunter and towards the door. Truthfully they where not used to knocking as most of their clientele and associates didn’t quite understand the practice or its curtesy’s. The duo took a moment to glance at one another before a soft ‘nuu!’ and a gentle point of a paw that Draluc would be reminded of the empty desk that sat in front of them.

Oh, yeah, The vampire recalled. That Gorilla said something about taking a trip out of town for a job? No wonder he got so much house work done- there was no one there to come up behind him and mess things up. It was so nice and quiet he had completely forgotten.

Draluc untied his apron and called out, ‘Yes! A moment, please!” Then he would suppose it was his job to answer the door for a time.  Picking John up off the floor Draluc held him gently between his arms and walked briskly over to the entrance of their home. ‘Vhat could this be? Do you think our package has found its way to us already, John?” The vampire inquired as little paws patted at his masters hands excitedly with gleeful chirps. ‘Nu nu nuu!’  The two came upon the door and opened it with friendly demeanor; the armadillo still wriggling in his masters arms like an excited child.      

   “Yes? Vhat can I do for you?” Spoke the Count to the stranger at their door.

Vampires! For all of Alastor's knowledge about the occult, the wicked, and the things that hang in the gaps between life and death, he knows very little about vampires. He knows very little about Japan, too. Today's a day of firsts for him.

Apparently, there's been a notable number of vampires of interest to Hell in this area. Particularly: vampires that are remarkably horny. Like. Ludicrously so. Off the charts.

This alone isn't worth notice—the sexual habits of vampires are outside of Hell's jurisdiction—but what is interesting is when they use their powers to try to rope humans into it. That's of interest to Hell, particularly the division in charge of Lust. Are they up to anything that could help advance their cause?

There's only one way to find out: investigating. And while Alastor isn't thrilled to get another sexually-oriented job, at least it's a magical investigation instead of a seduction gig. And it does mean he gets to learn about a class of inhuman beings he knows shamefully little about.

So here he is, armed with a handy-dandy universal translation spell to let him seamlessly communicate with the locals and an address he found online, knocking on the door of a local vampire hunter.

So I vanished. teehee. My internet became mega unreliable and I even outright lost it at one point due to comcast obviously being the best cable and internet provider-- but unfortunately I have returned to run amuck as of today. Still not gonna be incredibly active because I do have a job and other responsibilities to tend to but I’m here! Now as of right now I think I owe. . uh. .four people a reply?
